"Master, upgrading the system this early…" Haral began.
"Is the only option left. Giving him even more power than before would be a form of motivation for him to use the system," Death replied, looking intensely at the screens of what was happening to Ray in the Raven continent and in the city of Levigne.
"Moreover…there's nothing to be worried about. His minion would be the one to keep an eye on him so no matter how much power he draws from me, he won't be a threat until I need to use his body," Death continued speaking with a fully confident expression on his face. A direct contrast to the worried look of concern Haral, his elf-looking assistant had on his own.
"I'm just worried. To win and become part of the inner circle of the overall powers controlling the root of existence itself, you can't have any problems from him. Especially since he's the only one you have right now," Haral said, voicing his concerns out loud, with a slight bow of his head, not at all forgetting his role as an assistant to his master.
"Everything will be fine. Moreover, there is still a long time before a war for the title of God is imminent. To think the root of existence would actually throw the chance out to everyone and anyone,"
"It doesn't matter though…"
"Of course it doesn't matter Haral, because no matter how powerful the others grow, I, Kleatro, overseer of death, is bound to win," Death said, whispering his name the moment he said it.
His name meant nothing to him and his power was everything.

Ray couldn't stop smiling as he stared intently at the status screen floating directly in front of him, which he alone could see.
"Aaaah…" Gorren groaned in pain on the floor, his body, thinning by the second, struggling to move away from Ray but unable to. A horrified expression stamped on his face as he felt the essence of his soul and body slowly leave him without being able to do anything about it.
"You look like you're in pain…" Ray commented, shocked to discover that he didn't particularly feel any form of pity for the dying body lying in front of him, by his feet as he squatted over him.
"Actually, you look like you're dying in pain," Ray joked, still very aware of the pain in his own body, and the broken bones that remained broken.
Somehow, whatever life-threatening injuries he had on his jaw, neck and head had been mildly fixed the moment the upgrade was done and Gorren began screaming and squirming in pain.
"Aaaah…." Green gasped and groaned looking up at Ray with tears streaming out of his eyes, no longer having any strength to continue to make any sounds, until his body suddenly went stiff.
His lifeless eyes laid open but it was obvious to anyone who so much as looked at him that he was completely dead.
The moment Ray saw this, he again began to panic slightly looking around as he did so. His DNA was everywhere which meant that leaving the body there wasn't an option.
"I have to figure out what to do with the body," Ray thought, his eyes glancing at every corner, his eyes becoming hyper-reactive to every sound that filtered through his ears.
"Master…" he heard a thin-shrill-like voice say and he instantly jerked back out of shock, not at all expecting to hear any voice, especially one that stood that close to him.
He was still reeling from the sudden surprise of it all when he watched what seemed to be the short human in front of him, raise his head up.
"That's no human…" Ray gasped, instinctively taking a full step back when he caught a glimpse of its red eyes, pointed ears, and what seemed to be large wings poking from its back, the second the creature standing in front of him raised its head.
Dressed in black from head to toe, Ray was convinced it was most likely one of the creatures humans were battling against in every city and continent until he heard it speak.
"Master. The target is dead,"
"What?…" Ray asked with a still confused expression on his face, as he tried to process everything happening around him. Yet to decide whether running was the better option.
On the other hand, the creature standing in front of Ray couldn't stop the slightly annoyed expression that filtered across its face at having to repeat itself.
"Master…" Speaking in a louder and clearer voice, in a thin voice, coupled with a small bow.
"He is dead. I am patiently waiting for your commands," he said as he continued speaking and in a second, Ray was standing at his supposed death system where he was now convinced the minion had come from.
"How do I summon you?"Ray instantly asked, not wanting to waste even a second before knowing the answer, in case the minion for some reason disappeared.
"Your wish is my command, Master." Was the clear and slow reply Ray got as he continued to look at what seemed to be his minion even more intently than before.
"You can talk freely. Just because you obey doesn't mean you have to speak so formally. What's your name?" Ray asked, speaking quickly since he was still aware of the fact that Gorren's body was still lying dead in front of him.
This time the creature standing in front of Ray actually listened, raising his head upright before replying.
"Whatever master calls me," it said, its eyes flickering from a deep red to a cool blue as he looked at Ray's face, still careful not to look into his eyes.
At this point, all Ray could do was loudly sigh. Deciding in a split second what he was going to call his minion.
"Argo. I'll call you Argo. Can you get rid of the body?"
"Yes Master, I can,"
Ray instantly smiled and breathed a sigh of relief before going ahead to patiently wait and watch him do it only to look on in surprise as his minion continued to look at him without any particular expression on his face.
"You can go ahead and do it"
"Master has to explicitly tell me how and what you want me to do the commands you give," Argo replied, looking on with some sort of expectation on his face.
"I have to tell you how to carry out the commands?," Ray asked, taking another careful look at his floating system status in front of him.
"Yes, Master…" Argo replied, waiting for a few seconds more in silence until his impatience began to show.
"I could recommend, planting the body and making it seem like a robbery after cleaning your DNA or we could make it look like the body had been attacked by a monster before displaying his intestines in a decorative manner that wouldn't in any way be linked to you," Argo said in a clearly excited manner already imagining different ways he could carry out the ideas in his head.
"Uhm…Can't we just bury the body?"
"We could but…" Argo began saying, pausing a little as he tried to decide whether or not to inform his master about the human that was approaching them at a slow but consistent speed.
"Maybe we can add it to Master's kill count. It's the only way master will get stronger…" Argo thought, making his decision in a split second, turning back to face Ray with a small smile on his face.
"If you ask me, master…I prefer the latter option…,"
