Chapter 40

Meanwhile, in an abandoned building, what seemed to be two persons tied up in a chair, back-to-back was seen. The girl on the left woke up with a start, panting heavily.

"Oh, captured, I see. How pitiful.", a female voice echoed inside that same room. The voice was taunting, the girl knew that. The awoken girl named Loralai, snapped her head to the direction of the sound of the voice.

"Who's there?! What do you want from us", the tied-up girl said bravely with a slight pinch of nervousness in her voice. The fedora-wearing female laughed coldly.

"What do I want..?", the female said, her voice laced with malice and venom. She coldly chuckled as she swiftly made her way to Loralai.

Loralai slightly panicked as she frantically tried to get out of the ropes that were tying her down. She managed to let one of her arms free and stealthily slipped the other one out.
