Something Mysterious

"Thanks.." Ava thanked Mia and removed her arms which was wrapped around Mia's waist once they teleported to a certain forest.

"What is this place??" Ava looked around the scanty forest. Most of the trees are leaveless, the leaves have all withered.. it almost like a dessart, the ground is so dry that there are so many cracks on it.

"this place doesn't looks like a place anyone would live in." Ava thought out loud..

"Do you think this place has been this way from the beginning??" Mia turned to face Ava.. Ava thought for a while then opened her mouth to speak..

" I can't be sure." she shrugged.. "Whatever let get going, else we'll be late.." Mia shakes her head and began walking.

"Hey wait, tell me how this place was from the start.." Ava quickened her pace till she was at the same pace as Mia.. "I can't.." Mia said not bothering to look her way.. "Why??" Ava asked, a bit taken aback. "Coz am not permitted to.." Mia replied. "Why??" Ava asked again. Her curiosity is getting the best of her...

"Jeese you ask too much questions.."😩 Mia sighed, this time around she halted and faced Ava. "Stop asking questions, will you.."😦Mia scoffed, then continued walking... "Tsh.." 🙄Ava scoffed as she followed Mia behind..

"One more question.." Ava broke the silence.. they have been walking for a while, and aren't they going to the prince's home? so why are they walking in a deserted place where no one lives.. 'Or..could she be sent to..'

"Shut up!" Ava snapped immediately, causing Mia to turn to her. "Err... I.. want to ask u something.." Ava said nervously, she's aware Mia has powers, so she can kill her at anytime she has to be careful.. "What's that?" Mia raised a brow, as she studied Ava's expression carefully.. "My legs are aching me, can we take a break.??" Ava lamented panting a little.. she needs to buy some time to atleast come up with a plan, incase she is really assigned to.. "Haaa..." Ava sighed.. just then mare thought of Mia sent to kill her is... but why would they want to kill her?? then he should have just left her with that man on that day.. afterall she never begged him I save her.. Anger built up in her.. 'You damned prince if you really sent her to kill me, my spirit will torment you to you're grave..

"You said you wanted to ask a question.." Mia said cutting Her thoughts.. "Oh...I... am fine now, let go.." Ava stood up then walked ahead...

"Ava??"🤨Mia called..

of course this attitude is new to her, and it strange.. "Huh??.." Ava turned to look at Mia.. but Mia quietly stared at her..

"Didn't you say we'll be late??" Ava broke the awkward silence which was really making her uncomfortable.. "Hmmm..let go.." Mia said after she took a brief look at Ava, then she started walking and Ava quietly walked behind her, as different thoughts to defend her self incase Mia really tries to attack her ran through her mind..

Ava was so lost in her thoughts that she didn't realize Mia had stopped walking so she stumbled on her back. 'So this is it, prepare yourself.' She told her self, then she slowly stepped back preparing to run even when she knows no where to run to. The only reasonable idea that she could use was to run.

Mia has Powers and she doesn't, definitely she'ld be dead if she tries to fight with her, Mia will catch her e en before she starts running but she has to give it try, she has no other option..

Ava was already few inches away from Mia, but she didn't stop.. She kept talking slow steps back, Mia was still backing her so she thought it was the right time to run, she made her movement slow so as no to alert Mia...but unfortunately she was wrong..

" Where are you going to??" Mia sighed, she didn't turn to face Ava but Ava saw her dip her into her pocket, and when she lifted her hands from her pocket Ava completely froze😧..

'So It's true..' She couldn't stop the tears that welled up in her eyes🥺..

Mia opened the dagger, and raised it a little high for Ava to see.. "Come here.." She gestured nodding the finger which was holding the dagger forward..

Ava shakes her head immediately. So it true..She can't believe she actually trusted her killer.. "No.." Her voice teary, but firm.. Immediately Mia turned to look at her and Ava froze..

it time, so this is how I'll die, without rescuing Thana and Lydia.. "Am sorry Lydia, thana.. please forgive me.." She muttered silently.. Mia held a shocked expression.."wh..why are you crying??" Her voice filled with concern as she haistly walked to Ava, but Ava took few steps back even before Mia could get close to her.. Even if she'll die, not just yet..

"Ava?? what is-"

"So this is why you brought me to a desserted place?? you should have just done it while I was asleep, not now.. " Ava hissed in Anger.. Atleast she'll say all what she wants to say to Mia before she happily leaves this world, afterall her parents are waiting for her.. Zolan... A sad smile broke on her lips, as the tears continued to fall freely..

"What..what are you saying Ava?" Mia raised a brow..now she's really confused.. "Drop the act Mia, I know you were assigned to kill me!!" Ava yelled angrily.. She's still acting all innocent..

Mia could only gape confusedly at Ava..

"Ava.. I..jeese...why will I want to kill you?" Mia sighed disbelievably.. "this dagger is just what I am to use to open the gate.." She pualsed to study Ava's expression, but Ava didn't show signs of believing her.. " if you don't believe then watch.." She turned then walked back to the spot which she left.

Raising her right hand which was holding the dagger, she sliced her left palm then squizeed the hand she had sliced, causing blood to sip from it pouring on the spot which she is standing.

Ava gasped when Mia sliced her hand. She watched Mia let her blood pour on the ground.. it was then she snapped out of her daze.. "Mia.." She called then rushed to her side.

She was few inches away from Mia when something mysterious happened.. Black mist egulfed the whole place, making it hard for Ava to see.. "Close your nose!!" She heard Mia yell, and she immediately did as told.. "Just stay there do not move, untill I say so!!.." Mia Yelled again.. "Yes!" Ava yelled back, for Mia to know she heard all she said..
