"She's awake!" a little girl yelled from I side the room she was in with Ava. Ava looked around warily to study her environment, and she tried sitting up, but her body was aching her thus she fell back to the bed.

"How do you feel?" the little girl asked as she stared curiously at her. Ava only nodded to the girl, insinuating she was alright.

But then something struck her.

Zolan!

where is he?

is he alive? is he alright?

She panicked and tried sitting up again.

Just then two women walked in. the little girl stood up from her seat creating room for the women to examine the young miss. "how do you feel dear?" the woman with blond hair asked, as she scanned Ava's face. "I..." Ava wanted to speak but her throat was hurting her. when the woman realised this, she asked the little girl to bring a cup of water. "thana, bring a glass of water." the woman said. and the girl left to being the water.

Shortly thana returned with a glass of water and handed it to the woman. "thank you." the woman smiled at thana then collected the cup of water before handing it to Ava.

Ava nodded as a sign of appreciation then collected the water and gulped it. the pain in her throat subsided and she was able to speak. "thank you so much." she lowered her head a little. it is a way if showing appreciation in her fortress. "you're welcome." the woman smiled warmly.

Ava suddenly felt safe being around this woman. but she was brought back to reality when she remembered Zolan. she tried getting up again, but seem she is very weak, she fell back to the bed again. "careful you've just woken up after a long time." the blond haired woman said softly.

'Long? how long have I been unconscious?' she thought then asked. "how long have I been unconscious??" she asked. " A week and three days." she replied, and Ava's eyed went wild. 'No this can't be!' she thought as she tried getting out of the bed, but she fell back again. "Easy..." now the other woman who has a black hair spoke. " No,,, Zolan,,,I must find him, he has to be alive." She panicked and tried getting up again, but it was futile. She fell back again. " you need to regain your strength first." the woman with black hair said softly.

Ava felt angry at her self. she couldn't even protect the last person that was dear to her. she's useless. Tears rolled down her cheeks. "am useless...am bad luck..am cursed.." she muttered sadly as more tears gushed from her eyes watering her pale face. "Every of my loved ones ends up dying because of me. Mom..Dad...and now Zolan..." she muttered bitterly as her shoulders trembled due to her unending tears. "Eat first, you've not eaten for days." the woman with blond hair said In a soothing voice, as she coaxed her with her hands one Ava's back moving up and down gently. "thanks for generosity, you've done more than enough by saving and keeping me in your home. I don't want to cause you more trouble, I should leave." Ava said and she tried getting up. the blond haired woman helped her sit up. " you're weak, and you can barely stand, so how do you intend to Leave? " the woman tried helping her stand and the other woman with black hair also helped her to her feet. "am bad luck, and I dont wish to endanger anyone again." Ava said dejectedly. " you're not bad luck, and even if you wish to leave, I will not stop you. Get strong first." the woman have her a gentle squeeze. "thank you so much ma'am, I owe you my life." Ava sighed. the blind haired woman chuckled softly before speaking. " you're welcome, and just call me Marta." She smiled and Ava nodded in response. "and you can call me Lydia." the black haired woman smiled. " thank you so much. my name is Ava." Ava smiled at the two women beside her.

She really felt warm around this people, and they are so nice to her. she really owe them her life.

"thana, have to said hello to Aunty?" Marta called the little girl who was sitting by the corner. thank a stood from her seat and walked up to them as she held Marta's hand. "My name is Thana, and this is moma and this is aunt Lydy." she said with a cute smile smile displayed on her small lips as she demonstrated pointing at Marta and then Lydia respectively.

Ava smiled at her cute childish behavior then spoke." Thank you, am Ava." Ava smiled, and so did the girl. " yes, I know, I heard when you said it to moma." thana smiled. " okay let go and eat, I already prepared dinner." Marta smiled then led Ava out of the room, then thana and Lydia followed suit.

3 Months later...

"Ava?" Marta called. Ava was in the kitchen, so she left what she was doing to answer Marta. " you called me." Ava stood beside Marta who was seating on the couch. "please I need you to get me some things from the market." Marta said. "okay, what is it?" Ava asked. Marta gave her a piece of paper and some money. what to buy are written in the paper." Marta said. " okay then, I should get going before it gets dark."

Ava said and turned to leave. "don't be long OK." Marta said warmly. Ava nodded in response then left.
