Shameless

Ella smiled so hard she failed to notice Xavier's concerned face. Xavier thought something had happened to her, it was the only way to explain her current behaviour.

Maria was her precious elder sister; Ella could tolerate everything except Maria being hurt. Xavier wondered what could have happened that would've made her behave like this towards Maria. Xavier knew that Maria was no saint, however Ella would never treat her as an enemy, at least he thought so up until what he had witnessed moments ago.

Xavier has always known that Maria's innocence was just an act, but he never dared to say this to Ella out of fear she would hate him and cut him out of her life. He continued to stew over the events which took place that morning. From the moment Ella walked into the hospital, to Maria shamelessly storming his hospital, he couldn't help but be curious. Ella slowly returned to the present only to meet Xavier's curious clear eyes looking back her. She cleared her throat and said "I don't like her. In future if she comes here again to look for you, you better have her escorted off the premises."

Ella knew Maria's shamelessness knew no bounds; she knew that Maria would come again. "Ok, I'll let security know not to let her in, in the future". Replied Xavier cheerfully running his hand through Ella's hair.

"Let's go eat," said Xavier.

"Carry me" replied Ella.

Xavier leaned forward and lowered himself to give Ella a piggyback ride as he extended his hand to the little nurse student for his wife's breakfast. He walked to his office with ease. Upon reaching his office, Xavier place Ella in his seat and placed milk and a breakfast sandwich in front of her.

Ella began eating, she was still looking at Xavier. Xavier looked up to catch her gaze and Ella did not shy away. She was sure she'll never get tired of looking at this guy. "Why are you looking at me as if I would vanish?" Asked Xavier. "And what if you do?" Pouted Ella and asked. Xavier was taken back by her question. "I won't" he happily answered her.

Ella couldn't help the warm feeling she felt seeing how happy he was.

"I suddenly regret marrying you like this" she thought out loud while looking at Xavier. Xavier paused his movements, suddenly his heart trembled. 'Does she not want to marry me anymore' he thought. Not daring to ask this out loud. "Because I want the whole world to know you're mine, I don't want to hide our relationship." he heard her follow softly, almost as if she was just thinking out loud.

Xavier let out the breath he'd been holding. 'This girl' he thought.

"We can postpone the wedding for a month, and I'll give you the biggest wedding the Country F has ever witnessed!" He spoke. He was ok with anything she wanted as long as she would still be with him.

"No way don't tell me you're having cold feet," shouted Ella. 'Tsk tsk this guy thinks he can get rid of me that easily' her face pitch black with anger. Xavier tilted his head sideways, as if seeing her for the first time again and replied "I will never marry anyone other than you" he smiled as if remembering something sweet.

As if she didn't hear him, Ella continued rambling "the wedding will go on this Saturday rain or shine" determination covering her face.

Xavier "…."

All he wanted to say was, whatever kind of wedding she wanted, he would give her. But the way she reacted he chose to not press the issue. "As you wish dear." he finally said. Xavier made a mental note to make some changes on the current wedding plans, including organising an engagement and wedding photoshoot for the media outlets.

"Thank you, hubby" said Ella sweetly.

Ella cocked her head up as if she remembered something and said "baby, can you help me with something?" This lifetime she would not hide anything from him. Besides what she wanted to do was too challenging for her to act alone.

"Of course," he answered.

"I want you to help me kidnap someone" she said.

"Who?" He asked as if they were talking about her favourite boutique.

"My dear sister" Ella answered with a glint of coldness in her eyes.

"Ok" he answered and continued with his paperwork.

Ella looked at him with shock in her eyes 'he's not even going to ask why' she thought.

"Aren't you going to ask me why?" She finally relented and asked him.

He shook his head.

Ella's eyes shot up; she felt her heart tremor. Ella stood up and pounced on Xavier. "Thank you, thank you, thank you baby." She spoke. Before Xavier could register what was happening, Ella's lips were on his lips, and it felt so good. Like hard candy after medicine.

'She kissed me! She actually put her lips on my lips and kissed me! This is the best day ever' thought Xavier. It's not that she's never kissed him before, but it's always been a pack on the cheeks.

Xavier's throat felt dryer than the Sahara Desert, he felt his entire body heat up. He couldn't believe how unprepared for his first kiss he had been. Xavier licked his lips as if to savour the rest of Ella's lips.

Ella felt something hard against her stomach, she tried to move but as if she was calling to it, and the thing responded by growing harder. Ella shifted from side to side feeling awkward but not shameful. This was Ella's first encounter with this situation, so she didn't know how to respond.

Xavier looked at her with hungry eyes, as if given the opportunity he would devour her whole. For a moment it felt like time stood still as they looked into each other's eyes. Xavier couldn't help but think about how sweet Ella's lips were and wondered if she'd be against him kissing her again. As if Ella could read his mind, she gave him a smile, permitting him, inviting him as she stood on her tippy toes and leaned forward towards Xavier. Xavier leaned forward and gently kissed Ella as if afraid she would vanish, or this was some kind of a dream. When their lips touched both Ella and Xavier felt like they were on fire. Ella wrapped hands around his neck, Xavier lifted Ella up by her hips and she wrapped her legs around his waist while they ravaged each other, pouring all their feelings into this kiss.

Xavier couldn't control the elation that spread across his body, 'finally, I have my Ella back' he thought. Hugging her tightly, Xavier could feel the heat from his body rising. The kiss went on for quite some time, forgetting that they had left the office door open.

Suddenly someone entered the room without knocking, when he realised what he'd walked into his eyes were wide with shock. He looked around and thought 'am I in the right office? Don't tell me I'm having nightmares about Xavier making out with girls.' He shook his head as if trying to bring himself back to the present. He turned around to leave and bumped into a flowerpot.

Xavier and Ella were shocked to hear the loud noise. They turned towards the door to see who had interrupted them only to find it was none other than Xavier's friend, Fred.
