Family powers

In the land of Ozir every family has a specific magic that they specialize in that runs in the family blood no matter how weak or strong a witch or wizard is. That means they don't get to learn that form of magic. But every other form of magic they get to learn it. Some Families try to influence this balance by inter marriage but yet any child born will have to choose between his father's or mother's dominant magic. For some families it is not a choice as they are stronger.

For Naomi's family they were specialists in creating portals. Naomi could create a portal without uttering a word just a wave of her hand. For the Zekos family they were specialists in controlling any form if animal. Theirs was a rare form of magic in Ozir because they also had the ability to turn into any animal of their choice. Of course Tobin was ignorant of the fact hence his shock when he saw his supposed sister Lady Beth playing with a huge snake in the middle of the market and other peoole were cheering her. Tobin was sure this was a python or whatever they call them in the animal documentary he takes time to watch from time to time..

He feared that the python might end up turning against her as she was looking very young. He quickly reminded himself that she might be looking young but might even be older than him.

"Is that a look of fear I see in your eyes? Naomi asked looking at Tobin wondering why he would be scared.

"No, I am not scared I am just a little worried that my quiet father would never approve of my sister doing this outside " Tobin replied. From the little he have come to know about Elder Zeko he knew he would definitely not approve of his sister doing this. If he could bring a mini market into his compound to prevent them from going outside then she doing this would surely be against his principle.

"Have you forgotten who your sister is? She is very stubborn and free spirited. Even if your father should scold her she won't listen to him so don't worry about her. I am sure this is your first time of seeing her perform as you hardly come out too " Naomi replied with excitment in her voice. She seem to be enjoying herself.

For a land of magic, Tobin wondered why peoole should be surprised seeing someone controlling a snake. Those were the kind of reaction he expected from his world. Or maybe it is because of the size of the snake.

He continued to watch fearfully praying in his heart that nothing should happen to her while hoping Calvin would come early so he could escape from there. Suddenly he discovered everyone seem to be looking at him.

"Hey that is my brother Lord Harold, please brother step forward "

Tobin's heart immediately sank when he heard those words.

Elder Zeko went to his room worried with alot of thoughts on his mind. He had made sure to use iron fist to bring up his children and Harold had been the most obedient of his children. He made sure Harold was moulded in his image. As for Beth he allowed her have her way because a female child wasn't really important to him hence he stopped bordering himself about anything she does because no matter the one she would always go back to it.

So one could really imagine the shock he was going through after his encounter with Harold. Harold had raised his voice on him for the first time. And not for anything important but over a woman he had never really cared about. He could also notice from the way he spoke that Harold must have gone through some changes. His once fearless Harold was speaking to him nervously when he confronted him about his where about.

"Something must be wrong and I must find out what " Elder Zeko said pacing around his room.

At that moment there was a knock on the door. He knew it must be something and something important because not just anyone knocks his door.

He opened the door without asking who was there.

He Saw Madam Tochi standing at the door with a sad loom on her face. She looked like someone stepped on her.

"What is wrong Tochi who has offended you? " Elder Zeko asked as he ushered her into his room. Wondering who could have caused her so much trouble.

Madam Tochi explained to him what transpired between her and Lady Naomi befor Harold walked in exactly as it happened.

"I don't know I feel Harold has changed over night. We will need to do a spell to know what is actually wrong with him. I feel he is being manipulated " Madam Tochi suggested
