A changed Harold

Tobin pretends to fall asleep when Naomi walked inside. She was fuming because when Harold left earlier on for two days he didn't even tell her where he was going.

Infact her relationship with Harold have never been a smooth one. From the moment she discovered she was betrothed to him she has tried for years to win his heart completely but it has never been a success. Unfortunately she wasn't the patient type she always got to lose her temper from time to time even when she tries to control it.

Her anger was more with her parents for thinking their relationship was best for both families hence they agreed to the arrangements from when they were still children. A relationship that everyone has been waiting for Harold to solidify by Marriage. Yes he might be a great wizard but when it come to the issue of love he was no expert in it. It has always been a clash of interest for both Harold and Naomi. Everyone knew she had forced herself to come to terms with the arrangements but Harold was taking much time to adjust.

It was behaviors like this present one that still sends signals he didn't really care about how she feels if not he could not have left her for days without word on his whereabout.

"I know you are not asleep as you just arrived, why not stand up and give me an explanation for what you did "

Tobin heard her say immediately she stepped into the room. The fact he was still on the long cloak already gave him away.

For Tobin who have barely have time for girls, he really didn't know how he should react to the present situation. He remembers the word of Harold that if he kept quiet he would have less problem but yet how was he to keep quiet when an angry woman was standing some distance from him.

He decided to open his eyes to see who was speaking to him. For Tobin Naomi was one of the most beautiful woman he have ever set his eyes on. His eyes widen with surprise and his mouth was left slightly open when he saw her.

She was also a young looking woman, well dressed in a long robe that didng make too much effort to cover her upper body. The fact she was looking angry even made her more beautiful in his eyes.

"It is not right that you left me that way, I know we don't talk much but then you should have told me you won't be around for about two days. At least so I can know what to tell your father and my parents when they ask about you. Why do you keep doing this? She asked her voice mixed with anger and frustration. It was obvious she has been the only one making effort in the relationship.

"I am sorry" Tobin replied looking down at his feet as he sat up on the bed to gaze at her probably. Tobin didn't know if that was a word Lord Harold would have used that time. He got a confirmation from the look of surprise on the face of Naomi.

"What did you just say? She asked looking at him surprise and some form of tears in her eyes.

"I said I am sorry " Tobin replied his voice coming out stronger.

Naomi took two steps towards him to be sure she was not dreaming. She took note of his long hair this time too and was left speechless.

Not only did The great Lord Harold just told her sorry, he was also looking more powerful, the sudden change in the length of his hair was proof of that power.

"Where did he really go to? He has changed so much in just two days. Harold would never have admitted he was wrong talk more of telling her sorry.

She took a space beside him to look at him with a tender look in her eyes. A normal Harold would have tried to distance herself from her but now he didn't even move. All the anger in her face was gone.

"Where did you actually go to? Naomi asked looking at him curiously

Even Tobin had no idea the exact location they just came back from so that was something he could not answer. He decided to switch topics as he saw how pleased she was with him

"Naomi, right now I am very tired. It has been a tiring two days. I just want to eat and have a good rest. When I am done we will have this discussion he said holding her hands together as he have seen guys do im movies.

He could tell Naomi was happy with his method of response. She felt very happy that Harold was even making effort to touch her and even reply her nicely. Where he went to she was glad he did
