Future, Past, Home (III)

Finally I opened the door that was locked for so long.

"It haven't changed anything since the last time, how nostalgic" I let go those words in a sigh walking a few steps in. "Go ahead, you can feel yourself at home" I said turning back after realizing that she was still on the entry.

"Excuse me" said slowly.

"Maybe is not that much, and it isn't as cute as the cabin you used to live. Even so, welcome"

"Thank you very much Asriel"

She entered carefully looking at every corner with great detail. I indicated Maria the guestroom she'll be staying and while she accommodates I cleaned a bit the dust on the living room and sat on the sofa.

"Ufff, home sweet home, eh?"

In my mind I reviewed the moments before I came here. I had travelled an enormous journey that didn't bare fruits. Yes, I was able to obtain the true power of my katana and become a Seeker, also I gained an important partner.

Although on the other side I didn't get any answers of what happened on the world, I realize that I still have a long road ahead. Above all, I must become strong enough to protect her from anything that comes.

"Asriel? Are you alright? You have a pale face" ask very worried and then she puts her kind palm on my forehead.

I was so focused on my thoughts that didn't noticed when she got close to me.

I looked up and saw that she had put on a beautiful pink pyjama with a nightcap that completed the set. She's so adorable...

"Ahem, it's nothing" I answered taking her little hand on mine and got serious. "I was just thinking"

"On what?"

"My travels until meeting you, my fight on the capital, and above all our future. I'm worried that there is another person that wants to take advantage of your kindness. We need to be careful, that's why you have to promise me one thing Maria"

"It's about my powers?"

"Yes, definitely I think it'll be for the best if you don't show them in front of others unless it's strictly necessary. We don't know if there is another Victor out there"

"Okay, I promise" said finally and she sat on my side leaning her head on my shoulder. "Changing the topic a little... if you could Asriel, I would like to know about your past"

"My past? Why so suddenly?"

"You haven't told me anything regarding your life before we met. I past by a room that had a big bed and some photos of 4 people, I imagine they are your parents and your brother. You haven't mention your family yet so I was curious, although if you don't want to tell me I understand"

"No, there's no problem. Is just that is been a long time since I thought on that"

Yes, many things occurred since the day of the Apocalypse that had me busy and prevent me from thinking on it.

"It bothers you?"

"At all. Well Maria, just for you and taking this opportunity I'll tell you about me"

I put my arm around her little shoulders and we both relaxed while I opened the trunks of memories. Slowly the reminiscences starts to flow as I revive them.
