Chapter 63 : An unexpected surprise.

Jordyn frowned as she picked the white envelope on the silver platter the maid brought. She pushed down her heart shaped reading glasses as she recognized the diamond shaped seal with a rainbow spectrum.

She scoffed, turning it over in her hand " That brat is in trouble so soon "? Honey looked up at her grandmother with her bright emerald green eyes and smiled, " Don't get so worked up grangran ".

" I'll take that ", a woman in her late 30's with bored honey brown eyes and short pink hair snatched it. She turned it over, ignoring the annoyed and slightly wrinkled face staring at her " My Peach is not a troublemaker ".

Jordyn rolled her eyes, " Just open the letter ". She nodded and opened the letter, her eyes ran over it quickly and she suddenly laughed victoriously. Honey jumped on to the chair, her voice curious " What does it say mummy "?

Jordyn nodded in agreement, " Yes Calliope. What does it say "? Calliope smiled, " It says my daughter is one of the best of the best. I agree with that opinion ". She threw the letter back, knowing it would land in Jordyn's lap and strutted towards the stairs.

Honey suddenly frowned, her voice laced with concern " Where are you going "? She raised her hands high, doing jazz hands " Caynuta of course ". Honey suddenly jumped up, standing on the couch as she gripped the armrest " What! Right now "?

Calliope waved her hand nonchalantly while the other was on the railing, " Yeah. Now that your sister seems to be doing fine, I can finally continue my tour with peace of mind ".

Honey jumped on to the floor and pointed at herself, " What about me "? She shrugged, skipping up the stairs " What about you? You love your grangran than you do me, I didn't think it'd bother a nine year old so much ".

Honey suddenly began to stutter, " But.... " She'd gotten to the top of the stairs and raised her hands high, " Caynuta here I come "! She darted in the right direction laughing, " I can finally leave this hellhole ".

Honey wrapped her hands around her shoulders, digging into her skin as she murmured to herself " Does she want to get away from us that much "? Jordyn suddenly sighed, looking at her and beckoned to her " Come now. You shouldn't let her get to you ".

The tears glistening in her eyes suddenly disappeared as she turned to her and smiled, " Yes grangran ". Jordyn turned back her attention to the letter, " Does it really say that "?

At the same time, a similar letter had reached the Yanchol's main estate. A hearty laughter could be heard in the house, " What a lovely surprise ". The man that spoke had shrunk slightly with old age but that did nothing to overpower his clear amethyst eyes which seemed to be filled with wisdom.

Though his cherry blonde hair was lined with a few grey hairs, it did nothing to make him look less youthful. He was in a black bath robe as he walked to the family room, " Who knew a bastard would turn out so well "?

He glanced at one of the servants standing near by and called her over. The young lady was in a simple black knee length flare dress and a brown half apron. She walked over quickly and bowed her head, " Yes Patriarch "?

He scanned her for about ten seconds then pointed at the paintings and photos on the wall in front of him " I've seen you around. You clean these halls, correct "? She nodded, head still lowered " Yes Patriarch ".

He nodded, looking at the framed pictures. George loved photos, the only thing he loved more were family photos. They changed the main photo - a photo that had every living member of the Yanchol clan in it - every year and it was also a chance for the lesser clan members to appear in it.

" Can you identify a young man called Chase in any of these pictures "? She glanced at the pictures, surprise written all over her face and George snapped his fingers " Do you know or not "?

She nodded, pointing at a young man with navy blue hair and soulless bright blue eyes who was holding a water gun and soaked wet " That's Chase Yanchol ". George nodded slowly [ It's him? ] " Which branch family does he live with "?

The girl blinked, slightly surprised and George looked at her awkwardly " Did I say something wrong young lady "? She fiddled with her wrists as she spoke, " I wouldn't know about that....but he lives in the old cottage behind the bridge in this estate ".

George scratched his chin seriously, " Really? I never noticed ". The girl nodded, " Of course you didn't. He tends to blend in a little to well so he seems to disappear ". When she realized George was staring at her, she bowed her head in embarrassment " If there's nothing else..... "

George held his hand up, " What is your name young lady "? George found this lady amusing, especially with the constant shock on her face. She looked down, speaking confidently ," My name is Hiniko. Hiniko Amasi ".

George nodded and suddenly held his hand out to her, [ Ow, she's the old guys' granddaughter. No wonder she looked familiar ] " Well then Hiniko Amasi. I have a rather important job that needs to be done ". George suddenly laughed, " And you might just be the right person for the job ".
