Chapter 59 : A ray of sunshine.

Dexter and Charles had been invited over by Jubilee and since it was Sunday, they had no reason to object to the invite. Mordecai's smile dropped all together as he opened the door for the two.

He sighed, the disappointment he felt obvious " Yay, more people ". Charles smiled sarcastically, " Aren't you a ray of sunshine "? Dexter sighed as he let himself in, " I'll leave you two to it ".

Mordecai scoffed as he closed the door, " And you're just strange ". Dexter was surprised when he saw Lloyd and the others sprawled on the carpet with Jubilee and Cassie in the middle of it all.

Charles cleared his throat as he charged forward and jumped on Leonardo, " Brother Leo ". Leonardo laughed, ruffling his hair " Nice to see you too ". Dexter took a seat on the ground between Lloyd and Asher.

Asher suddenly pulled his cheeks, " Still as serious as always ". Lloyd pulled Dexter back, " Leave the boy alone. You know how he gets ". Cassie looked back and forth between the two [ Have I been living under a rock or something? ]

" You know each other "? Asher nodded, " Yeah, Lloyd and I used to babysit this guy ". Cassie tilted her head to the side, " Babysit "? Lloyd nodded, " Yeah, his parents were the really busy type ".

Asher nodded in agreement, " Yeah, plus there was extra credit ". Cassie nodded, still very confused " Alright ". She looked at Charles and he started talking, " Brother Leo's a long time VIP of our auction house. Plus, he's really good at defense ".

Cassie nodded, processing the information. Jubilee suddenly laughed and pulled Lloyd forward, " And this is my amazing half brother ". She even pulled Mordecai's arm as he joined them, " But don't forget my caring big brother ".

Asher laughed, looking at Jubilee " Aren't you a ray of sunshine "? Jubilee giggled, truly happy " Then you should join us for breakfast. My brother's an amazing cook ". Mordecai resisted the urge to frown as he looked at Jubilee and sighed [ As long as she's happy ]

Lloyd was a bit surprised by Jubilee's introduction of him. He knew he hadn't been the nicest to them and their mother but he was doing his best to make up for it. Jubilee always seemed a lot easier to get along with but Mordecai.....not so much.

He glanced at her as she joked around with Leonardo and sighed, muttering to himself " It still kinda hurts " [ Half brother she says ]

Cassie was having a hard time absorbing the information she'd just received. Though it wasn't hard to do a background check on any of the people here, it was far from advisable . If they found out and they definitely would, it could cause problems.

That's why she tried so hard to assimilate herself into the lives of people from important families around her. Dylan was no exception, the problem she had with him was how distant he'd been since he's sister disappeared.

It gave her no reason to visit the Omenio main estate either. Then she'd discovered Jubilee and her twin brother. Their mother, Neveah Dieky was once a famous neurosurgeon till she retired a few years back.

Now a full fledged and stunning event planner, she would unsurprisingly plan the birthday bash of Theodore Yadi, Patriarch of the Yadi family in a few weeks. That was why she had to sacrifice Dylan.

Jubilee told her she'd be attending GEMS and heard about the team groupings. She asked and Cassie naturally agreed, knowing fully well that she'd get that invite. Her cousin, Rider would naturally be invited but he probably wouldn't go, and if he did, he definitely wouldn't take her along.

She was brought out of her thoughts when Asher flicked her forehead and she winced, rubbing the spot, she pouted " What was that for "? He laughed as he shrugged, " You were thinking too hard ".
