Chapter 17: Hold your Tongue and Hold Back
Haley had turned her recorder on the moment she entered the kitchens. From the plates they pulled, it was either a big crowd tonight or lots of mini courses and she didn’t think she’d have time between busing the table and being a proper hostess.
When she started work, she was very glad for that decision and was extremely thankful Alpha Lucarus gave her this opportunity even if he wanted her to get rest. She mentally apologized for it though and would give herself an extra hour of sleep.
Alpha Solas was a stiff businessman and whatever contract he’d been trying to get signed last time fell through and negotiations were LOUD. Her necklace was recording all the materials they were listing when she passed by.
“I don’t care what you have to do—that deal was supposed to go through today! We’ve already waved the fee of the material costs, why are they complaining about it now?”
