JEALOUS

We played board games and games on the game console. It was 12:30 and Meredith told us to get into the vehicle. We did as we were told and went to a pizza place for lunch. It wasn't far from home and the interior was simple and welcoming.

I picked to sit in a booth, Nathaniel sat beside me, Meredith sat on the other side and Silvia took her place beside Nathaniel.

"Mack, how is that movie going?"

"We're almost done shooting, for now the director is more focused on my kissing scene, the actress playing Ally quit and now we have to find a girl that suits the role."

"Really? Amelia is coming back to town I have no doubt that role will go to her, the director is the old dude, yeah?" I nod my head. "Yeah, I bet he paid the girl to quit cause he heard his daughter was coming back, Amelia is talented but she doesn't deserve half of the role's she gets."

Nathaniel yawned and put his hands on his neck. Not long after the waiter asked us what we would like to eat. To mine and Nathaniels surprise the waiter was the man Nathaniel bumped into yesterday. Nathaniel takes off his glasses and orders his food while giving him the googly eyes. The boy was blushing while he had Nathaniel looking at him.

He had brown hair and hazel eyes, with his face covered in freckles. He was shorter than me by half a foot and had a small body. He was attractive though and seemed to be Nathaniel's type.

Meredith and Silvia admired their flirtacious looks and I couldn't help but to admire it too. I didn't want to, I wanted to give the boy a dirty look and cross my arms intimidating him but I smiled watching them and I knew on the inside that I was jealous.

I ordered a delux pizza with extra pepperoni. My moms ordered a medium meat lover pizza with extra bacon. Nathaniel ordered a small pepperoni pizza. When the boy left with our orders Nathaniel looked at me. "I'm stealing a couple of slices."

"No. You ordered a small pizza, you should've ordered a medium." I said teasing him. He playfully stuck out his tongue and I mock him. Then I felt admiration again. Meredith and Silvia both liked to see me with someone, to have a friend.

"Nathaniel, I'm glad you're friends with my son, he's never really had real friends."

"I'm glad I'm his friend too, I only wish that I met him sooner." He said looking at me. He was sincere and genuine. I blush from embarrasement, but at the same time my heart skipped a beat. I knew Nathaniel for three months, one of them, having us ignore eachother, but Nathaniel quickly became my best friend.

I knew that I got jealous whenever I seen him with others boys, my heart skipped a beat whenever he looked at me with a genuine expression and I knew that I felt lonely whenever I wasn't with him. He argue's with me and isn't afraid to be himself, I knew that what I told him yesterday wasn't a lie, that I did like a guy but only one, and that guy was him.

I flirted with him because of the alchol but I wouldn't have done it if I wasn't attracted to him. Now that Nathaniel took interest in that boy, I wanted to tell Nathaniel how I felt as soon as possible once we got back to LA, I wasn't going to do it while we were still stuck in toronto.

If I tell him and he wasn't interested in me back in LA, I could avoid him but in toronto, he would be in the same vehicle and plane on the way back.

We ate lunch and Meredith drove us to the last activity. The movies, we watched the new romance movie with my favorite actress playing the main character.

"Romance movie? Why did we leave it up to the women to pick?" Nathaniel complained.

"Shut up, it was my choice, I love Elizabeth Hailsbury, she's my favorite actress."

"You like romance movies?"

"Yah." Nathaniel didn't expect that I would like romance movies and he carried a confused, shocked look on his face. I pulled out my phone and took a quick picture. He sqinted his eyes from the flash. "Sorry, but you're face was priceless, this is going on Tazigram."

"Tag me." We sit in the back and Meredith brings Silvia to the front. I text mom saying we're in the back and she text back. 'I know, ;)' I roll my eyes and leave her on delivered. Nathaniel grabs the backs of the chairs beside him. The movie starts and Nathaniel looks at me.

"What are you doing?" I whisper.

"Do you know what this movie is about?" He asks whispering back.

"Yeah, this movie is based off a romance novel I read. Celia, the protagonist, is a model student, she has good grades and is faithful to god. But Celia wasn't blessed with good health..." I pause and look at Nathaniel as the movie starts. "She uh, meets a boy named Winston, he is the opposite of Celia, detention, drugs, alcohol, partys, women, and money, he's a bad influence."

Nathaniel looks at me again and we lock eye contact. "Celia finds out she has cancer when she goes to college, Winston goes the same college and they meet. Celia wants to explore her desires and asks Winston to help her. Celia falls inlove with Winston and he fall inlove with her." I gulp as the tention gets stronger and Nathaniel doesn't avert his eyes from mine.

"Winston finds out that Celia has cancer and that she wasn't able to afford treatment. So he pays for her treatment, and in the end Celia takes her last breath saying I love you for the first time." I look away and slouch on my seat.

"It's a beautiful love story, you should watch the movie." Nathaniel crosses his legs and nods. We sat in awkward silence as the movie went on.
