" Alright mum I'll be there."

Max hung up the call with her mother.

" Something came up I'll go home," she announced rising from her seat placing the black shoulder bag onto her shoulder.

Harry was about to ask what it was but Max was already turning to leave.

" Sure!"

" We'll stay" he ended up saying while Cherry nodded.

He swallowed back his words and besides he didn't want to bother her she seemed already disturbed .... reasons unknown to him.

" Catch up later! " she said finally before she was off.

" Can I go to the trampoline ? "

" Pleeeease -" Cherry pleaded batting her eyes like a puppy.

" Sure! "

" It's your day! "

Harry responded.

" Really! Thank you! " Cherry said excitedly .

Harry smiled "

" Coolest Crush!" She thought.

" You're the best!" She said pecking his cheek .

Be safe and don't talk to strangers , okay? "

" Hmmm" she nodded.

" If there's anything strange, run back I'll be here -" Harry lectured like a nursery teacher.

" Okay yyyyyy-" Cherry replied and off she ran full of excitement.

There were a few other. kids in the trampoline area as they had fun bouncing and giggling.

Cherry scanned the area as if looking for someone.

And indeed she was!

The smile evident in her bright eyes faded when she didn't the person she'd expected.

Meanwhile the someone she was waiting for was hiding behind a swing .

He saw the disappointment written all over her face and he smiled quizzically.

He watched as she moved to a free trampoline.

" Whoopee seems somebody's gone ape shit!" he laughed suddenly bouncing on the trampoline where Cherry was seated like she'd been ditched.

The sudden move startled Cherry everything happened so fast and before Zayn knew it , she was on the ground.

Lying on her stomach unconscious!

His mind went blank after he came in terms with the occurrence.

"Oh no! Somebody help!" he cried out in tremor his voice breaking.

" Li- i- i - il pr- - r- r- incess! ". He shook her .

" What's happening ! Somebody help! please!

Soon the medical team was attending to the unconscious Cherry as they carried her away on a stretcher.

A mini - crowd gathered as they watched the transpirations.

" Will she be alright?" he spoke subconsciously watching the media team stroll away.

Moments later

" Grandma I'm - mm -m-m in trouble!" Zayn trembled holding the emergency dialer tightly.

" Zayn!"

" Grandma!"

" Is everything alright are you still at the park I'll - I'll -"

Luce hung up immediately before Zayn could say anything else.

Meanwhile ----------------------- Zach where's your nephew?"

" Mom -"

" You mean , zayn-"

" What're you talking about mum -- I. -"

" Alright I'll just---" Zach hung up the call with his mother.

He started to make his way back to the ice cream man.

" Leavi-" the ice cream man's words were interrupted.

" Did you see Zayn around? -" " " Ooh you mean-"

" Yes sir!"

The man shook his bald head .

" Alrrggh! Zach sighed raking his slender fingers through his hair in frustration.

"Excuse me -" Zach asked several people around but it made it no difference.

" I think I saw him -"

" Right there isn't it he?" one of the kids said pointing her finger.

" Mum_"

" Zayn! -"

Zayn trembled as he sobbed in his grandmother's embrace

Luce caressed his back.

" Mum ! What happened?-"

" Let's get to the infirmary"

" What?"

" Did he hurt himself? "

Zach asked clearly confused but Zayn and Luce were already walking away.

He followed .

Moments. làter in the in the infirmary.

"What is-" Zach was at loss for words when his gaze met the figure of a young girl lying on the bed with a few tubes connected.

She looked familiar but what did it have to do with-"

" Mum I don't understand _"

His words were interrupted by somebody who dashed like flash.

Max froze at the site of what was before her- "

" Cherry .... noo this can't be happening!

She broke down.

" Max !" Harry dashed in His eyes widened in shock!

" It's okay she'll be alright -"

Max was already sobbing in Harry's embrace.

The Gundersens looked on lacking a reaction.

Zach was trying to digest what was going on.

He now remembered ..... The little girl was this redhead's little sister....the one. he had seen her with..

" Can I have a word with whoever is here for the patient? "

Max stopped sobbing and turned to the doctor.

She nodded and with Harry they slipped out of the room trailing behind the doctor.

Zach sighed helplessly before following.
