Where did you come from?

Natasha finished brushing her hair as she wore a brown sweater, sure it was not cold in her room, or in this Mansion, but she did not know if they were going to train outside, besides, it was 3:30 am, Natasha had woken up very early just because she remembered what Romanoff said about being punished, and she did not want to be punished on her first day.

Natasha did not know what to do with her phone, whether to take it along with her, or to leave it here, but she needed her phone with her, so Natasha just took a guess as she put her phone in the back pocket of her jeans as she walked to the door, and she unlocked her door, she removed the keys from the back of the door as she opened it and walked into the front hall.

Natasha could promise you that she had heard some voices coming from the hall earlier, and coming especially from the door of the room which was right across hers, she had not seen her neighbour before, in fact she realized that she had not seen the other agents before, only once.

Natasha closed the door to her room as she knocked it and she turned around as she flinched when she felt a presence beside her and she was startled until she was greeted by the not so warm smile on Romanoff's face.

"Good Morning devochka (girl)" said Romanoff as he smiled.

"Where did you come from?" asked Natasha in surprise as she looked around, there was no one else in the hall except for them, and the last time she checked, she did not see him at all, heck she did not even hear him walking, he moved like a ghost, without making a sound at all.

"Russia" replied Romanoff as he smiled and Natasha did not appreciate his humour at all, she looked down at his shoes, they were black heavy military boots, she was sure that they had to make a sound when he walked, but then she looked down at the ground, and she noticed the carpets, maybe he made no sound when he was walking on the carpets, because honestly, she was creeped out.

"That's not funny, where did you actually come from?" asked Natasha as she stopped looking down and she looked up at Romanoff.

"That's not nice devovka (Girl), have you no manners, you didn't even greet me a good morning before you started asking me silly questions" said Romanoff as he laughed.

Natasha scoffed at him, of course he could never be serious, but she was serious, just where did he come from?? Or were they secret passages in this mansion as well? Natasha didn't know, but she knew that anything was possible at this point, especially when it came to Romanoff.

"Good Morning, where did you come from?" asked Natasha as she went straight to the point.

"I came from the hall" replied Romanoff as he looked satisfied.

"I didn't hear your footsteps" said Natasha.

"You don't need to" replied Romanoff as Natasha wondered just how this guy could be so irritating.

"You are up early" said Romanoff, he came here early, he had expected her to still be sleeping at this time, but she looked wide awake and already ready, he was surprised to say the least.

"I don't want to get punished on my first day" said Natasha as she did not know what was going on with him, did he not tell her that training started at 4am sharp, and that she should not be late? Why then did he look surprised that she was awake.

Romanoff just chuckled, fighting off good memories, but he had to agree with her, he was serious about punishment if she was actually late.

"You make a good point devochka (girl)" said Romanoff as he laughed.

"Come along" said Romanoff as he started to walk in the direction he came, and Natasha followed after him.

Natasha was deep in her own thoughts when she snapped out of them and she looked around as she noticed that they were not heading to the direction of the training grounds.

"This isn't the way to the training grounds" said Natasha as Romanoff kept on walking.

"You have good memory" said Romanoff.

"It's not good memory, it's sensibility" replied Natasha as it was just common sense for her to notice that this was a different change of the hall.

"Hmm" said Romanoff.

"Where are you taking me?" asked Natasha.

"To the lab, you need to get some tests done" replied Romanoff.

"What kind of tests?" asked Natasha in suspicion.

"Just some medical tests, to examine your health, for obvious reasons" replied Romanoff.

"Why didn't you tell me this before?" asked Natasha.

"Well when you rush into things the way you did, there leaves no room for planning" replied Romanoff as he smiled and Natasha just scoffed at him.

"Which tests are going to be done on me?" asked Natasha.

"Blood test, pregnancy test, eye test, among some other things" said Romanoff.

"How long are these tests going to take exactly?" asked Natasha.

"Give or take one hour or more" said Romanoff.

"But then that means that I will be late for training" said Natasha.

"You can be late this one time, since you cannot commence training until you have done all these tests, for your safety and ours" replied Romanoff.

"I haven't eaten breakfast yet" said Natasha as she pointed that out, she did not know where she was supposed to get food from, that piece of information was not communicated to her.

"Good, some tests require you to have an empty stomach" said Romanoff as Natasha scoffed, it seemed that he just happened to have an answer to everything that she asked him, it was annoying.

"Next time, at least tell me about these things beforehand" said Natasha.

"And maybe next time, don't insist on getting yourself involved in what does not concern you at all" said Romanoff as it sounded more like he was scolding her more than anything else.

"Hmm, well maybe if you had told me earlier" said Natasha as Romanoff stopped walking and he opened a door as he walked into a room.

"Enough devochka (girl), there are many more important things to do" said Romanoff as Natasha kept quiet and she just followed after him as they walked into what seemed to be a white room, at there was already a middle aged looking man standing there.

It looked like some sort of lab, with microscopes, and other medical looking equipment, Natasha did not have enough time to look around as she heard Romanoff say something.

"We do not have all day, start with the tests already" said Romanoff as he looked at the man and the man nodded his head as he looked at Natasha.

"Miss, please sit down" said the man as Natasha turned to look at Romanoff as he just shot her a look that read "Do whatever he says" so Natasha just walked to a nearby seat and she sat down as he man turned and looked at what seemed to be a shiny metal tray, he picked up a long needle and he seemed to be cleaning it as he turned to Natasha.

"Please remove your sweater" said the man as Natasha removed her sweater and she put it next to her.

"What is he doing?" asked Natasha as she looked at Romanoff as the man rolled up her right sleeve.

"Drawing blood for the blood test" replied Romanoff.

"Don't tell me that you are afraid of needles?" asked Romanoff as he chuckled.

"No, I am not" replied Natasha as she shook her head.

"This will not hurt at all, only pinch a little" said the man as cleaned an area on Natasha's upper arm with a wet cotton ball, and when he was done, he put the cotton ball back on the tray as he put the needle to the area, and without warning, the needle was inserted into Natasha's arm.

Natasha flinched as she was caught off guard, the man was right, the needle pinched a bit, but it didn't hurt.

Natasha turned to look at the needle, as she saw the blood being drawn from her arm into the needle, it was weird to say the least, she had never had to get her blood drawn before.

When the man was satisfied with the amount of blood he had drew from her, he slowly pulled out the needle as Natasha's arm was bleeding a bit, and the used the same cotton ball from earlier to dab the area as it stung Natasha and she hissed as the man removed the cotton ball from her arm.

Romanoff stayed to watch, he wanted to make sure that no funny business was being done, besides, he did not want to have to stay here for the rest of the tests, and he knew that this doctor would not dare do anything that would cause him to need to be killed.

"I will leave you here now, when you are done, meet me in the cafeteria, it is right down the hall" said Romanoff as he looked at Natasha.

"Carry out all the tests" said Romanoff as he looked at the man.

"Yes Romanoff" said the man as he nodded his head and Romanoff left the room without even looking back at Natasha as he closed the door behind him.

"Please open your eyes wide for me" said Natasha as she looked up and she did so as the man dropped a clear liquid in her eyes.

"What is that?" asked Natasha as she blinked and her eyes became red as she felt her vision blurry.

"Eye drops, for dilated eye exam, your vision will be blurry for a few hours" said the man as Natasha kept on blinking, she could no longer see him clearly.

"How much do you weigh?" asked the man.

"133 pounds" said Natasha.

"Hmm" said the man as he wrote down something.

"Please stand here for me" said the man as he helped Natasha up and she followed after him and he helped her stand on a scale.

"60 kilograms" said the man as he wrote it down on what seemed to be a log sheet.

The man helped Natasha off the scale as she sat back down as she blinked, she felt like she could not see anything at all.

Natasha sighed as she blinked once again, she would have loved to say that her vision was better, but it was still blurry.

Natasha walked down the hall as she saw an open room, and she walked into the room, as she happened to see someone who looked like Romanoff sitting at one of the tables.

Natasha walked over to him, surprised how she did not trip and fall.

"You are finally here devochka (girl)" said Romanoff as Natasha sat down across him, he forgot just how long these things took.

"I ordered you breakfast, eat it quick, because you are late" said Romanoff as he pushed what seems to be a box of donuts to Natasha as Natasha looked at him.

"What is the matter?" asked Romanoff.

"My eyes… my vision is blurry" said Natasha as she blinked once again.

"It will clear up soon, the worst test is the dilated eye exam, but you will be fine after a while" replied Romanoff as he smiled and Natasha blinked once again, Romanoff could sense that Natasha was feeling uneasy.

"Do you know your blood type devochka (girl)?" asked Romanoff as Natasha shook her head, she did not know her blood type, she had never had to check for it.

"O positive" replied Romanoff as he smiled.

"And how exactly do you know that?" asked Natasha as she wondered why he seemed to sure.

"Because your mother was an O positive, I am an O positive, and she told me that you were too" said Romanoff as he smiled.

"You and my mother communicated a lot didn't you?" asked Natasha.

"Through postcards and letters" said Romanoff as he smiled.

"Hmm" said Natasha as she did not know what to feel about this… he seemed to care for her mother a lot… and yet he still went ahead to kill her, she just did not know where to place him in her head, good or bad?

"Eat devochka(Girl)" said Romaoff.

"You are excused from being late today because of all those tests, but that does not mean that you have an excuse not to attend training" said Romanoff.

"I hear you" said Natasha as she looked at Romanoff.
