"Mommy, Mommy, Mommy" called Joy as she jumped around in her room.

"What is it dear?" asked Natasha.

"Why are you so energetic?" asked Natasha as she smiled and picked up Joy.

"Mommy, Mommy, Mommy, you just missed Daddy" said Joy.

"Your father was here?" asked Natasha as the smiled on her face dropped, but Joy could not notice it because she was too happy.

"Yes Mommy, he was right here, he just left" said Joy as she pointed to where she was standing with her father before.

"I see sweetie" said Natasha as she calmed herself down and she turned to look at Alfred who was standing nearby.

She looked at him with an expression that read "Did you know that he was coming?" and Alfred shook his head to say that he did not know about this at all.

"Mommy guess what" said Joy as she did not notice the silent communication between the two adults.

"What my baby?" asked Natasha as she looked at Joy.

"Daddy said that we can all go running together when he is not busy" said Joy as she looked so happy.

"Oh baby that is wonderful news" said Natasha as she smiled, she could not let her baby see that things between her and her dad were not going well, in fact they could as well be called enemies.

"And mommy guess what" said Joy.

"What is it again my baby?" asked Joy.

"Daddy said that he is going to come back early today" said Joy.

"That is wonderful my baby" said Natasha as she smiled.

"What time is he coming back?" asked Natasha

"I don't know mommy, but he said that he will be back to give me my goodnight kiss" said Joy.

"Okay my dear" said Natasha as she placed Joy down on her bed.

Meanwhile Alfred was already letting his thoughts rage off, he was thinking that maybe Natasha asked when he was coming back so that she could finally talk to him.

Alfred wanted nothing more than for the both of them to reconcile and stop treating each other like enemies, he could still remember the good old days when they were great friends, they were even inseparable.

"Joy my baby, can you stay here please?" asked Natasha

"I need to go talk to Alfred about something" said Natasha.

"Okay Mommy" said Joy.

"Thank you my baby" said Natasha as she smiled and she leaned in and gave Joy a kiss on the cheek, which made Joy giggle.

"Alfred can we please talk outside?" asked Natasha as she turned to look at Alfred.

"Of course Madam" said Alfred as he followed behind her.

"What is it Madam??" asked Alfred at Natasha closed Joy's door, so that Joy could not hear them.

"Alfred I need you to please inform me when he arrives" said Natasha.

"Yes Madam" said Alfred as he knew who Natasha was referring to.

"Madam do you want to speak with him?" asked Alfred.

"So I can be able to inform him" he added, the truth was that he wanted to know if his suspicions were right.

"No I do not want to speak with him" said Natasha.

"That is far from it" she said.

"I do not want to see him at all" she said with hidden anger.

"So please inform me when he arrives" said Natasha.

"Yes I will Madam" said Alfred as he was shocked but he composed himself, he wondered what could have happened between them, it must have been a big fight, because now Natasha wanted to avoid him.

Alfred knew that every single time they fought Natasha would beg him, she would not even leave him alone for a second, and yet here she was trying to avoid, was he dreaming, or was Natasha starting to realize her faults?

Natasha sighed, she thought that she could handle seeing him in this life, but she realized that she could not, she felt nothing but hate for him, and she was not sure if she could contain herself if she was to see him.

She was sure that she would end up pouring out everything to him, and that would cause her problems, she had to stay away from him, for her own safety and wellbeing, she was not yet strong enough to pretend that nothing has happened.

Even though those things had not happened yet in this life, she could not erase those memories, and she was going to change to make sure that nothing that happened then would happen now.

"Do not worry Madam, I will make sure to inform you" said Alfred.

"Thank you Alfred" said Natasha as she smiled, she knew that if there was anyone in this house that she could trust it would be Alfred.

"Mommy you are back" said Joy as she stood up and she rushed to her mother.

"Yes I am my dear" said Natasha as she smiled.

"So what do you want for lunch my baby?" asked Natasha

"I don't know mommy" said Joy as she seemed to be in deep thought, she could not choose what to eat, there were so many delicious foods.

"What's with the long face?" asked Natasha as she poked Joy's nose and laughed.

"I cannot choose mommy" said Joy.

"Mommy what do you want to eat?" asked Joy as she returned the question back to her mother.

"Hmm well I want to eat...." said Natasha

"You!" she said as she started to tickle Joy.

"No no mommy, it tickles" said Joy as she squirmed around and laughed.

"Mommy don't eat me" said Joy as she laughed.

"Haha my baby, I won't eat you" said Natasha as she laughed and stopped ticking Joy.

"But you are just so cute sometimes that I do feel like eating you up" said Natasha.

"Mommy Miss, B said that eating other people is called cani...blasm" said Joy as she laughed.

"What did you say my baby?" asked Natasha.

"Caniblasm" repeated Joy.

"Hahah my baby, I think you mean cannibalism" said Natasha as she laughed, the way Joy called that word was just so cute.

"Yes Mommy that word" said Joy

"Caniblasm" repeated Joy again, which made Natasha laugh.

"My baby say after me" said Natasha as she laughed.

"Canni" said Natasha

"Canni" repeated Joy.

"bal" said Natasha

"bal" repeated Joy.

"alism" said Natasha

"alism" said Joy

"Cannibalism" said Natasha as she called out the syllables slowly.

"Cannibalism" said Joy as she copied.

"That's it my baby" said Natasha as she smiled.

"Yayyyy" said Joy as she laughed, she was proud of herself.

"Cannibalism is when an animal or a person eats others that are of it's same kind" said Natasha.

"Yes I know mommy" replied Joy.

"It's good that you know my baby" said Natasha as she smiled.

"Cannibalism isn't good, so if you ever hear anyone say that they are a cannibal report them to the police okay my baby?" asked Natasha.

"Yes Mommy" said Joy as she nodded her head.

"Good girl, now let's go eat" said Natasha as she carried Joy.

"Okay mommy, so what will we eat?" asked Joy.

"I have no idea my baby" said Natasha as she laughed.

"Hahah" said Joy as she laughed.
