Romanoff sighed as he sat back down, he should have emptied his pockets before he came here.
"Are you ready to talk now?" asked Natasha as she looked at him.
"Why are you so stubborn?" asked Romanoff.
"Why don't you tell me the truth?" asked Natasha.
"I never knew that you had quick hands" said Romanoff.
"Next time, keep things you don't want taken deep in your pocket" said Natasha as she smiled at him, so he would know how she felt whenever he smiled when it was not necessary.
When Romanoff stood up, Natasha saw a folded up colourful flyer in his right pocket, she quickly took it from him when he started to walk away, but she did not know that he was so sensitive as to know when something basically weightless was taken from him.
"Hmm" said Romanoff as now he knew that he needed to keep things that he did not want her finding far away from her, now he had gotten himself in deep trouble by his silly mistake of idly leaving that flyer in his pocket.
Natasha opened up the flyer, she had to say that it was very colourful, even though the only colours used on it were red, black, and white.
Natasha quickly read through the folder, it looked like some recruitment advertisement of some sort.
The words were writing in bold Russian letters, but Natasha could make out some of the words, and it translates as "Lions are brave, if you are a lion, join us", Natasha looked up at she looked at Romanoff, he had just been watching her all this time as she read the flyer.
"Lions are brave, if you are a lion, join us" said Natasha as she repeated the words to Romanoff.
"Your Russian is good" said Romanoff as he smiled, he was impressed, he did not know that she could read Russian as well, she was really the daughter of her mother.
"I did not ask you if my Russian is good or not" said Natasha.
"What is this? Some sort of recruitment flyer?" asked Natasha in confusion.
"Yes" replied Romanoff as she was surprised that he actually told her the truth for once.
Natasha looked at the flyer again, and in the corner of her eye, at the top of the flyer, she caught sight of what looked like a logo, it was what looked like a white snake, that was encased in a black circle, with a white sickle that cut across the snake.
"They are who you work for aren't they?" asked Natasha as she looked back at Romanoff.
"Mhmm" said Romanoff as he replied, now he would be forced to answer her question now that she had that flyer with her, he really should have thrown it away before he came here to meet her, he wondered what came over him, maybe he underestimated her, and just how stubborn she could be.
"Who are they?" asked Natasha.
"Soyuz beloy gadyuki (Union of the white viper)" said Romanoff.
"The union of the white viper?" asked Natasha in confusion, she had never heard of them, not even once.
"Yes" replied Romanoff.
"What do they do?" asked Natasha.
"Well many things, we kill, we infiltrate, we do everything that the government cannot do without compromising its image" said Romanoff.
"So you are like a branch of the government?" asked Natasha.
"Well yes, an unregistered branch… the government does not associate itself with us… they only come to us, when they need information, people do not know that we even exist" said Romanoff.
"My mother worked with you in this same organization right?" asked Natasha.
"I was her superior" said Romanoff.
"You say that no one knows you exist, then what is with this flyer, aren't you advertising it with this?" asked Natasha.
"Well devockha (girl), people know when to keep silent" replied Romanoff.
"You want new recruits?" asked Natasha.
"Yes, it has come to our attention that we are lacking, younger agents, those with youth and fighting strength, we need some younger people, those who are agile" said Romanoff.
"Wait, so you will train them?" asked Natasha.
"Yes, we will, we want to make them the best agents, that will work for us" said Romanoff as he could tell where Natasha's head was going.
"Ne smey pytat' sya delat' to, chto dumayesh (Don't you dare try to do what you are thinking)" said Romanoff.
"Ty ne mozhesh' ostanovit' menya (You can't stop me)" said Natasha in all seriousness, he could not stop her.
"Sorry to break it to you devockha (girl), but the deadline has closed, we have already chosen our applicants, we have no more room, the deadline closed on the first of this month" said Romanoff.
"You say that but you still had the flyer in your pocket" said Natasha as Romanoff scolded himself internally, that was just out of his pure laziness, he wore these jeans that day, and he repeated them today, who knew that this little niece of his was so attentive.
"You look for something where there is nothing" said Romanoff as he wanted her to stay out of this, he did not want her to even dare joining this.
"No Romanoff, this is something" said Natasha as she saw an opening.
"They will not accept you if you go there" said Romanoff as he could see the crazy idea in her eyes, this would do no good at all, he was trying to protect her, but she did not see that at all.
"Don't you dare tell me that you can't find a way in for me?" asked Natasha.
"After all, you work there, you work for them, don't tell me that you are not a valued member of organization, it would be a shame, judging from how long you have worked with them, for them to consider you unimportant" said Natasha as she wanted to get on his nerves, she wanted to hit him where she knew it would hurt, so he would help her, but to her dismay Romanoff's look did not change at all, he remained as poker faced as ever.
"You need to work more on your smack talk as the Americans say" said Romanoff as he smiled, and Natasha groaned, it looked like he was not going to budge at all.
"You know what fine, if you won't help me, then I will help myself, I am not helpless after all" said Natasha as she stood up but Romanoff held her hand and sat her back down before she could take a step forward, his movements were so swift and strong that Natasha wondered how such an old looking man like him could still be so strong?
"You do not understand, these people kill" said Romanoff as he let go of her hand and she looked at him.
"Well so do you" said Natasha as Romanoff shook his head, this devochka (girl), just did not know what sort of danger she was getting herself into with this.
Romanoff kept quiet as Natasha just looked at him, he had not known her for a long time now, but he did know her, he knew some of her characters, and one of them was her stubbornness, he was sure that if he left her right now, she would go ahead and poke her nose into places that would get her killed.
One rule Romanoff had, was never to get attached, he made that rule when Ivanka left, attachment did nothing but make you weak, but right now, by indulging Natasha, he now had an attachment, he promised her mother that he would protect her, and if he left her alone now… then he would be guilty if anything bad happened to her.
"How long will you be staying in Russia?" asked Romanoff as he snapped out of his thoughts and he looked at Natasha.
"For as long as it takes" replied Natasha.
"Are you sure about that devochka (girl?) Don't you have things to do back home?" asked Romanoff.
"They can be taken care of, I am only focused on what is happening right now, because if you won't give me answers, I will look for them myself" said Natasha as Romanoff knew fully well that she was not playing around.
"Tell me, is this for revenge?" asked Romanoff.
"Don't you kill for revenge?" asked Natasha.
"Correction devochka (girl) I don't kill for revenge, I kill because my job requires me to" said Romanoff.
"I doubt that" said Natasha.
"So are you helping me or not?" asked Natasha.
"Fine, I will come and pick you up tomorrow, 5am, no later, no earlier, be ready" said Romanoff.
"Where are you taking me?" asked Natasha.
"You have exhausted your amount of questions devochka (girl), now you listen to me, no questions asked" said Romanoff as his tone sounded very commanding.
"Fine" said Natasha as she knew that she must have annoyed him greatly, but at least it worked.
"Good, now stand up, walk straight back to your hotel, and do not dare turn back, and I am not joking with you devochka (girl)" said Romanoff as he had already spent too much time here, if they were following him, then they would have already seen him with Natasha.
"Okay" said Natasha as she stood up and she walked away, Romanoff made sure to watch her, until he could see her no more.
Romanoff lazily brought out his phone as he dialed a number and he put his phone to his ear.
"Mne nuzhna usluga (I need a favour)" said Romanaoff.
"Natasha belaya, dobav' yeye v spisok (Natasha White, add her to the list)" said Romanoff as he ended the call, he did not need to repeat himself.
"Ivanka, your child is as stubborn as you, just know that she insisted on this, and not me" said Romanoff as he sighed, now he had a child to take care of, that was not his style at all.
Thank you to Ramya_Lokesh_Kumar and Tiphe_Olaoluwa for the power stones haha!!
