Little conversation

Natasha looked around as she got out of the car, she could see no one in sight, which was somewhat worrying since they were in the right place, she was sure of it, this was the address that Pete sent her.

"Everywhere is so quiet" said Dom as he walked to her and ignored him and kept on scanning around with her eyes, she couldn't hear the ocean, which probably meant that they were a distance away from the actual port.

"I don't see anyone anywhere, are you sure that this is the right place?" asked Dom as he frowned, he just didn't like the extreme quietness, it was eerie, especially with the fact that they were surrounded by crates and all.

"We are in the right place, this is the address that Pete sent me, an Pete doesn't make mistakes" said Natasha as she turned to look at him.

"You really regard him highly for you to say that" said Dom with a frown.

"That's because he deserves to be regarded highly" replied Natasha with a scoff, she didn't want an argument right now, there were more important things.

"Right…" replied Dom as Natasha decided to walk ahead and she heard some voices behind huge containers as Dom followed quietly after her.

Natasha was not stupid, it was late, and this place was a bit dark, there could have been dangerous people lurking around, so she didn't just show herself, she snuck beside the container and peeked from the side, and she was relieved to see that they were the people she was actually looking for.

"Good evening Agent Dians" said Natasha as she stepped out and Dians stopped talking to his men when he heard her voice and he turned to face her.

"Miss White, you are here" said Agent Dians as he looked at her.

"I prefer Natasha, and it's good to see you too Agent" replied Natasha with a smile.

"I can't say the same" replied Agent Dians.

"Right" replied Natasha with a scoff.

"And you must be Mr. White" said Agent Dians as he turned his attention away from Natasha to Dom who was standing quietly behind her, seemingly lost in his own thoughts.

"Dom, it is a pleasure to meet you Agent" said Dom as he brought out his hand for a handshake as Dians complied.

"The pleasure is all mine" he replied as Natasha looked around, taking note of the several agents present, there had to be about fifteen of them excluding Dians, some were talking, some had headsets in, and there were some at the back of an open van with computers.

"I want to thank you for agreeing to help us out, I really owe you one" said Dom.

"Well I didn't agree, your wife just dumped this load of information on me and it was clear that she wouldn't be taking no for an answer, she didn't look like she was going to budge at all, I am sure you know a thing or two about that" said Agent Dians as Dom laughed.

"That I do Natasha is very stubborn, she rarely takes no for an answer" said Dom.

"I can relate, I believe it's a trait of all wives" replied Agent Dians as he laughed.

"Hey gentlemen I hate to interrupt this little conversation of yours about wives, but I am sure we didn't come here to have relatable marriage discussions" said Natasha in sarcasm as she smiled and Dians and Dom both turned to look at her. Dom looking guilty while Dians looked like he couldn't care less.

"What's going on here, have you searched the cargo ship yet?" asked Natasha as Agent Dians looked at her.

"Not just yet, you see the ship is docked right across here, it should be a five minute walk and I me and my men have not yet searched the ship" said Agent Dians.

"Why not?" asked Natasha.

"Well I was waiting for you to arrive, and secondly, I am waiting for the owners of those illegal firearms to show up" said Agent Dians.

"You think they will show?" asked Natasha.

"This is their shipment, they are bound to show… except someone warned them that we are involved" said Agent Dians as he passed Natasha a knowing gaze as she scoffed.

"Don't look at me, why would I come to you to help me only to go back and tip off the enemy" said Natasha.

"You tell me, people can do really, really unreasonable things" said Agent Dians.

"Are you doubting my credibility?" asked Natasha.

"This is not a matter of credibility Natasha, it's a matter of wasted resources and time" said Dians.

"Meaning?" asked Natasha as she did not get it.

"Meaning someone is going to have to take the fall, if they don't show, it will be obvious that someone tipped them, and who is a better suspect than the person who gave us the information in the first place" said Dians as he had nothing against Natasha really, but she would be a person of interest if no one came to get their illegal firearms.

Natasha narrowed her eyes at Dians as she scoffed, if he was trying to threaten her, it wouldn't work, although she couldn't lie that she didn't have some doubt, after all, everything had been quiet all of a sudden, no new information was being giving, and she was starting to feel a little bit of turmoil internally, but she would never let it show.

Dom didn't like what Agent Dians was saying at all, it was almost like he was convicting Natasha of being a traitor and that displeased him.

"Agent the night is still young, I am sure that sooner or later they will show up, we just need to give them some time, I can assure you that Natasha knows what she's talking about" said Dom as Natasha and Dians had forgotten about his presence suddenly turned to look at him.

"You are right, there is still time, and for the sake of your lovely wife over here, you better hope that they show" said Dians as he didn't want to be the mean guy, but he would get the boot handed over to him if this operation didn't come out successful.

After all his entire division was skeptical about the sudden way too accurate information, but he decided to take a chance on it considering Natasha's connection and her friendship with Pete, he did vouch for her, which gave him a boost of certainty with this operation, if he was wrong, they wouldn't only be in trouble, but he would be too.

Dom looked at Natasha as she avoided his gaze, she had to focus on hoping that someone would show up.

"Anyway I didn't go into the ship, but I got some friends over at customs to plant tracking equipment and speakers in the ship, and the whole area around the dock is wired, when they show up, we will be the first to know" said Dians as Natasha was lost in her own thoughts.

"In the meantime, do you have any documents declaring what you know is visibly inside the cargo ship right now?" asked Dians.

"That I do, I have them right here" replied Dom.

"Perfect, let me take a look" replied Dians as Dom handed him the documents as he looked at Natasha in worry, he could see that she was worried, even though she tried not to show it, and he was worried as well.

"Romanoff, we've been here five minutes, can we go now??" asked the man as he looked at Romanoff in annoyance.

"I don't get you, first you complain about me wasting you time and now you are wasting my time, there is no one here, let's just go in, get the stuff and go home" said the man as Romanoff looked at him and sneered.

"Young blood, always so boiling" replied Romanoff as he shook his head.

"Have you no patience at all?" asked Romanoff as he also wanted to leave and get this all done and over with, but he could sense something wrong in the vicinity and it made him feel uneasy.

"You are one to talk, I am done waiting here for no reason, are you coming or not?" asked the man as Romanoff remained silent in his thoughts which caused the man to scoff as he didn't bother waiting for a reply and he walked out to the dock and on the ship.

Romanoff turned to see him walk away as he frowned.

"Idiot" called Romanoff under his breath with a curse as he followed after him, he was the one in charge here, and not that little, puny, rude boy.
