"The more we get older, the more I wonder how my life would be without you, if we never met" said Pete as he sighed.
"Oh I mean for one Pete, your life would be very boring without me" said Natasha as she laughed.
"And you would never get into any trouble, your life would always be perfect" said Natasha as she laughed, as she said the word "perfect" with air quotes.
"That sounds like the life, maybe I could go back in time and stop us ever from meeting" said Pete as he laughed.
"You would not dare" said Natasha as she glared at him.
"Oh if only time travel was possible" said Pete as he laughed.
"Pete, you don't know anything" said Natasha as she sighed to herself.
"Haha" said Natasha as she laughed.
"Anyway, if you had never met me, how would you have solved your first major case without me??" asked Natasha.
"There would have always been another way" said Pete.
"Instead of my superiors scolding me for your involvement in the case" said Pete as he sighed, he could still remember all the problems Natasha had caused him back then.
"Yes, yes, but the case was solved much quicker with me involved" said Natasha.
"You seem to forget that I helped the case a lot" said Natasha.
"Sure you did, but at the cost of me being reprimanded first before congratulated" said Pete.
"Yes yes" said Natasha as she laughed, Pete would never just forget that little part of their first meeting.
"Anyway, enough of going down memory lane" said Pete.
"I only have an hour before I need to go back to the station" said Pete as he looked down at his wristwatch and the time was 14:30pm.
"Oh alright then" said Natasha.
"Is something going on at the station?" asked Natasha.
"That my dear Nat... is confidential police matters" said Pete as he knew that Natasha was trying to get out information from him.
"Who was asking you anyway" said Natasha as she looked away from Pete as she was annoyed.
"You were" he said as he laughed at Natasha's childishness.
"Either way, we are here for you to teach me how to use a gun, so I can shoot people" said Natasha.
"Hey, hey, hey wait, don't tell me that is your main reason for doing this??" asked Pete as with Natasha he could never be sure, and he received no reply.
"Nat, you do know that you need firearm license, before you can use a gun, otherwise if you shoot anyone, you will be charged" said Pete.
"Of course I know that" said Natasha.
"Good" said Pete.
"I am just checking" he said as he looked at Natasha suspiciously.
"I have a suggestion for what we can do today" said Natasha.
"Oh and what is that?" asked Pete.
"How about you teach me about those formalities, you talked about last time" said Natasha, the truth was that she did not want to have to handle a gun anytime soon, she was sure that she would still be in shock from the loud gunshot noise, and she did not want Pete to stop teaching her because he was worried of her safety.
"That is a good idea" said Pete
"The shooting range does have people today, so I was going to teach you those anyway" said Pete as he looked through the bulletproof, sound proof safety glass and door that separated the shooting range from the entrance.
"Mhmmm" said Natasha.
"Anyway, do you still remember the basic rules I taught you last time?" asked Pete.
"Yes, yes I do, for one the most important rule, was that your gun is loaded even if it's not loaded it is" said Natasha as she mimicked Pete's serious voice.
"Haha very funny" said Peter as he laughed sarcastically.
"I can arrest you for ridiculing a police officer" he said.
"Oh you are not that petty" said Natasha as she laughed, she knew that Pete would never do that even if he wanted to, he was just too dedicated to his Job and the law to do any injustice.
Which reminded Natasha that in her past life, he must have vowed to find out who had killed her, if only she could go back there for a little while and find out who did it, and make them pay.
"Mhmm, right" said Pete as he laughed.
"In any case, as there are now many shooters in the range, when you hear the word cease fire, it means that you have to stop shooting immediately, for your own safety and the safety of others who are using the range with you" said Pete.
"Okay" said Natasha as she nodded.
"We also have the cold range" said Pete.
"Where all shooters must check with others to ensure firearms are unloaded, No one is permitted to handle firearms or stand at the firing line while there is a cold range." said Pete.
"Okay" said Natasha as she nodded.
"And then we have a hot range, where all shooters must check with other shooters to ensure there is no one down range; when the range is declared "HOT" shooters are permitted to commence firing" said Pete
"Only shooters are permitted on the firing line, in order to prevent any problems or injuries" said Pete.
"Okay, I got it, cease fire, cold range, and hot range" said Natasha as she relayed the rules back to Pete.
"You seem eager" said Pete.
"Am I not always??" asked Natasha as she laughed.
"Mhmm" said Pete.
"Oh hey Pete, I have an idea, what if I watch you shoot first, you know just to see what you have got" said Natasha as she laughed.
"Oh, I see, well I never say no to showing off my abilities" said Pete.
"Haha of course" said Natasha as she laughed.
"Well alright then, let's go" said Pete as he opened the door to the shooting range, and the last shooters had just ceased fire.
The truth was that Natasha wanted to get used to hearing gunshot noises, so her body and mind would not react negatively every single time she heard a gunshot, or else that would put her plan of learning to defend herself with a gun to no use at all.
Pete got himself and Natasha a pair of clear glasses and earmuff, which they both put on.
Pete got himself ready to shoot, and he turned back to look at Natasha.
"Stand back, and don't make any quick movements" he said and Natasha nodded.
As soon as the hot range was declared Pete and the other shooters began to shoot at the targets that were in the shape of a human body.
Natasha's ears could still clearly hear the gunshot noises, and she closed her eyes, and she steadied her breathing as she opened them, so far so good, she did not break down... yet.
Pete kept on shooting, he did it with so much precision and swiftness that Natasha was surprised, she had never seen him shoot anyone before, but she was sure that if he had to, the person would not be able to escape.
The recoil on Pete's gun was very quick, and he had shot three bullets in such a short time, his shots were on target, and he had hit the head, the arm and the right thigh of the target.
"Rate me shots from 1- 10??" asked Pete as he turned around with a smug look on his face as he looked at Natasha, they had been told to cease fire.
"Oh a 15" said Natasha as she laughed.
"Only fifteen??" asked Pete in disappointment.
"Don't be too greedy" said Natasha as she laughed, Pete was way too full of himself.
"Yes only fifteen, what did you expect??" asked Natasha.
"That I give you a hundred??" asked Natasha as she laughed.
"Well yesss" replied Pete.
"Oh you are so stingy, I am even spoiling you, you told me to rate your shots from 1-10 and yet I gave you a fifteen" said Natasha as she face-palmed herself.
"Haha" said Pete as he laughed and he put his gun in holster that was attached to his belt.
"But in all honesty, your shots were very accurate" said Natasha as she laughed.
"Now that is something I want to hear" said Pete as he smiled.
"How did you get so good?" asked Natasha.
"Practice, Practice and more Practice" said Pete as he removed the earmuffs from his ears.
"Of course, you are the practice master after all" said Natasha as she laughed and Pete's phone rang.
"Hello??" he said as he picked up the call.
"I will be right there" he said after the person on the other line spoke.
"Is something wrong?" asked Natasha as Pete ended the call.
"Yes, there is a robbery going on, and the situation has gotten out of hand, I need to go there right now" said Pete seriously.
"That is very serious, so go" said Natasha.
"And what about you??" asked Pete.
"I will take a taxi home, you can go" said Natasha.
"Thank you, I am sorry" said Pete as he removed the clear glasses.
"Don't be, it's your job" said Natasha as she smiled and Pete gave her a kiss on the cheek before he left.
"I will make it up to you" he said as he turned to look back at her.
"Oh you will, of course you will" said Natasha as she laughed and Pete laughed.
"Of course" he said as he laughed and he left.
Little did the both of them know that someone was watching them and he had now concluded his suspicions.
...
"Hey" said Charlie as he dialed a number and his call was picked almost immediately.
"What's up?" asked the other man from the other side of the line.
