Caroline

I yanked the door open and was greeted by a familiar figure.

It was Richard, drenched and shivering. The part that broke my heart most was that he was as well sobbing.

"Richard," I called with a sad tone that my heart felt.

"Caroline," he called back, still sobbing and I helped him in.

This was the first time I was seeing Richard cry this much. I have obviously seen him bawl his eyes out but nothing as pitiful as this.

As he walked in, the path he walked was wet with the water on his body dripping on the ground as he walked.

I peeped out, looking around but there was no one outside. I shut my door and immediately walked to him.

"Come on," I said to him as we both walked to my room. I helped him out of his drenched clothes and gave him dry clothes that he had left here the last time he slept over.
