Chapter 1: Radiant Dawnblade.

A seven year old boy in silver-gray robes adorned with crane motifs slashed two swords across the air whirling around making a few strikes across leaves and everything that he felt was worth practicing on. The seven year old boy was accompanied by a twelve year old boy wearing the same attire color as he kept stopping and practicing on the path while they walked back to their sect.

The seven year old boy was excited having upgraded from wooden swords to steel ones. The two were from the Silver Crane Sect and the technique the seven year old boy was practicing was one of the sect's signature techniques the Mist Veil Blade; a dual-wielding technique that confused opponents with swift, circular movements.

Suddenly an approaching carriage startled the seven year old boy and he released one of the swords in a moment of confusion. As the horses saw the accelerating sword they raised their front feet in fright making the carriage lose balance. Luckily the sword decelerated and attached itself on the wooden frames of the carriage .

A six year old boy raised the curtains of the carriage and looked outside to see what was going on. His gaze landed on the seven year old boy who was bearing a guilty expression. Immediately they saw him, they bowed to him not looking up at him again. The six year old boy in the carriage was Feng Yuan, the Longyuan's Crown Prince.

"You two come over here,"young Feng Yuan commanded.

The two walked towards the carriage nervously.

"You ,what is your name?"young Feng Yuan asked referring to the seven year old boy.

"Ye...Shiqi,"he stuttered.

"Say your sect name,"The twelve year old boy whispered.

"From Silver Crane Sect."

"Can you show me that technique you were practicing?". Feng Yuan's eye lit up with interest.

Ye Shiqi loosened up a bit when he saw the friendly look on Feng Yuan's face. Ye Shiqi didn't hesitate to show off his swordsmanship.

"That must be the Mist Veil Blade Technique,"Feng Yuan said as he applauded him,"When you master that technique fully come to the palace and show me."

"Yes Your Highness,"Ye Shiqi replied obediently.

"See you,"Feng Yuan waved him goodbye as he dropped the curtain and the carriage rode away.

When Feng Yuan returned to the palace that day,he asked his father to allow him to join the Silver Crane Sect but Emperor Feng refused claiming it wasn't safe learning martial arts outside the palace. Instead Emperor Feng employed Han Tian Yi,a retired martial arts master. Han Tian Yi was a strict instructor and hardly gave Feng Yuan enough time to relax but Feng Yuan disregarded all these as he was determined to learn martial arts.

As his skills improved he kept inviting Ye Shiqi to the palace to have a sword sparring with him each time he learnt a new skill. The two grew up to be the best buddies. Even when Ye Shiqi became the general,Feng Yuan fought the wars beside him with his legendary sword Radiant Dawnblade becoming one of the most famous swords in the martial arts world.

The Radiant Dawnblade was forged in the sacred forges of the Imperial Citadel. Its blade, tempered with the essence of the rising sun, glimmered like molten gold.

It symbolized purity, justice, and the Crown Prince's duty to protect the empire. When drawn, the blade emitted a warm radiance, blinding foes and searing through darkness. Its strikes left trails of sunlight. The Dawnblade could deflect any attack, even sorcery. It resonated with the Crown Prince's unwavering resolve.

"Did you hear the Crown Prince challenged the Master of Silver Crane Sect?"

"I heard he also challenged his own master."

"The Crown Prince has learnt a new swordsmanship technique called Heavenly Wind Sword Wave."

"Didn't he learn the Heaven's Edge Slash a few months ago?"

"He has learnt a new palm strike as well called Iron Palm."

"If only I could be as half famous as his sword."

"I wish I was his sword's blade so he could wipe me gently when cleaning."

"I just touched the Crown Prince's abdominals! They are so hard!"

These were the top stories across the martial arts world; everyone yearning to know what the Crown Prince has done or has not done. Even weapon dealers advertised their business claiming they were the ones who forged the Radiant Dawnblade or at least they knew the one who forged the sword. Others sold portraits of the Crown Prince wielding his sword and the business was good.

"Why did you change your sword's scabbard? The other one wasn't even old,"Ye Shiqi asked curiously eyeing Radiant Dawnblade's new black scabbard with intricate lotus flower patterns which was way different from the former which was golden in colour with intricate patterns of dragons and phoenixes .

"I need to change it once in a while . Even you also change clothes everyday,"Feng Yuan said casually.

Ye Shiqi chuckled softly,"In this world, you're the only one who treasures and treats your sword like a person."

"How can a general's sword be called Anonymous?"Feng Yuan teased him.

"Well, I'm not good at naming things so I named the name that came into my mind first."

"Didn't your Shifu scold you when you picked your sword's name?"

"He said I was a blockhead and didn't pressure me to change it."

"By the way have you organized the troops like we said?"Feng Yuan suddenly asked changing the topic.

"Yes I have."

The two were planning about the war against Xianfeng Empire.

"If we win this time I'm sure Heaven's Lode will entirely be ours."

Heaven's Lode was a large gemstone quarry at the border of Longyuan and Xianfeng Empire. The two empires had been fighting for years each wanting to take full custody of it and claiming it was in their empire's land. Feng Yuan and Ye Shiqi had fought many wars and this time they had travelled to the border in preparation for the war.

"By the way my sister gave me these,"Ye Shiqi said revealing two green jade pendants"It's a Luck Pendant ,she told me to give you one ."

Feng Yuan took the jade pendant and smirked in amusement and disapproval.

Ye Shiqi had a twelve year old sister called Ye Xiwu, who was a disciple at Silver Crane Sect.

Shifu means master.
