The Void
Emily sat in the basement where Amaya planned to train them. She watched Jakub practice swinging his swords around when she started to wonder how they'd been able to contact Elena so easily when Elena told her she'd only be able to contact her once every few months. Jakub wore himself out from swinging the blades and sat down beside Emily.
"How are we able to communicate with Elena so easily? She told me she'd only be able to reach me once every few months or so." Emily asked Jakub.
He shrugged his shoulders then responded. "Maybe it has to do with Zips heightened senses ability. Maybe it has a way of connecting through easily."
"That's definitely convenient, I was honestly worried about going so long between contacting her." Emily spoke sounding relieved.
Jakub began thinking back a little ways just before they came to the office. "You guys didn't see that person watching us from the roof?"
Light and Nicole turned as to join the conversation.
"I didn't see anything." Replied Nicole.
"I thought it felt like we were being watched but I couldn't see anyone." Light also answered.
"I couldn't feel anything or see anything. I was so exhausted from using so much mana. Soul power really takes its toll on your stamina huh?" Emily gave her input.
Jakub stretched backwards over the chair looking up and just thinking. He wanted to know who that person was and why he was the only one who could see them. He thought they might show up again at some point so he planned to keep an eye out for them.
"Get focused Jakub! Me and you are going to spar so I can get a feel for your skill." Amaya shouted.
The two of them walked to the mat and stood staring at one another.
"Whenever you're ready." She challenged him.
"I don't know if-"
Amaya swept his legs out from under him, taking him to the mat and knocking some air out of him. She slid from her downed position over to him on the ground and put a knee on his chest and fist just in front of his face. "I knew you were going to hesitate so I made the first move for you." She got off of him and helped him up. "You're going to have to take this seriously if you want to learn. So show me what you can do."
Jakub got his composure once more and charged toward Amaya; he swung repeatedly as she dodged everything he threw. As he threw a punch Amaya dodged under it and hip tossed him to the ground. "I can tell you've at least been in fights before." Amaya said as she helped Jakub up once again.
"When I played Rugby I used to be a really aggressive player it kind of made opponents angry. After a lot of games or even sometimes during them they would try to fight me. I had to learn to defend myself because I was the only one that would." He replied.
"That sounds like a hassle to me. Here I'll show you a few boxing techniques at least to get you started."
Emily and Nicole sat beside one another along the mat but out of the way. Light stood up and got closer to the two training so she could watch and listen in. The doctor yelled across the room for Nicole and Emily to come over to him so that he could speak to them.
"So what happened before you guys got here? You all seem a little distracted." Dr.Reinheart asked.
"We ended up fighting another reaper, killing him and breaking open his soul gem. I now have a red type on top of the green and blue ones I already had." Emily replied.
She triggered the red type giving her hands a red aura circulating them and the stringy fuses began floating around her hand. She showed the doctor a tiny example which was like popping a firecracker and he was amazed.
"They can get pretty intense. The reaper I took this from destroyed Light's car." Emily informed them.
"Yeah that wasn't very nice either." Light yelled from across the room.
"I was holding onto this because I didn't know what it was., but ever since you guys have showed up and talked about these gems. I now know it's one of them. Now I have no idea what ability it holds; it could even replace one of the three you already have. So you're going to have to choose between a random unknown or the ones you own." The Doctor said as he walked toward a closet in the basement. In the closet was a safe which held the shining soul gem. He brought the soul gem over to her.
"Should we do it Jakub?"
Jakub turned to look at Emily to see what she was talking about when Amaya punched him in the face for looking away. "What the hell Amaya, that was dirty." He said to a smiling gloating Amaya.
Jakub ran over to the gem and looked at Emily. "If you wanna use it let's do it."
Jakub took a hold of the gem as it sat on the table in between both of them. Emily looked at the gem with deep thoughts clearly on her mind. She grabbed the gem and it began to get brighter and brighter then finally burst. Black voids formed in both of their right hands. They were balls of basically nothingness about the size of a basketball. Emily was messing with it imagining in her making the void larger and smaller. The void was following her thoughts growing in size and shrinking in size.
She formed it to the size of a ping pong ball and made it hover over her middle finger. Making a flicking motion as if she was trying to hit someone with her finger the Void ball flew forward extremely fast and stopped at the point of impact. The ball began to rotate extremely fast and started to suck in anything around it. It destroyed the floor beneath it, the wall beside, chairs near it, anything that was in its reach was being almost unrealistically deteriorated and consumed. The ball began to grow in size the more it took and was growing fast. Emily made multiple hand gestures trying to get it to stop until she pointed her palm toward it, twisted her hand and then clenched her fist. With this motion the ball had been pulled to her hand, shrank and went away.
"That… that was a black hole." Jakub said.
The doctor stared in amazement at the things he had just witnessed. It's impossible to be that close to a black hole and survive yet they had all done just that because of this power.
"It was indeed." Dr.Reinheart spoke.
"Good thing I didn't throw mine for fun I thought they were gonna be some stupid shiny sticky balls. How pointless would that be?" Jakub said while laughing.
Light, Nicole and Amaya were still staring in amazement. Each one of their mouths wide open after seeing something that was basically deleting reality.
"This is clearly a red soul type ability and is not known by anyone. There has never been a black hole ability recorded." Said Dr.Reinheart. "Try using your fuse ability to see if you still can."
Emily tried to focus on using it but nothing was happening no red aura no fuses there was just nothing. Though when she thought of the black holes they would appear in her hand. This just went to confirm that it is a red type ability, though it shows no aura when used.
"I can't use the fuse, it's gone." She informed them.
"I figured as much. A black hole would definitely be an ultimate destruction type so it's no wonder it would be a red soul." He replied.
"Hey Jakub are you into fantasy or supernatural stuff?" Amaya asked him.
"Yeah kind of, why?"
"Did you know indigo has common types that can make vampires, werewolves, cat people, bunny people, and basically anything else you can imagine. It's like it says… once the indigo soul is located your body is permanently altered. It's pretty wicked. I had a partner in LIA that was a cat girl, she was very sneaky." Amaya informed him.
"Vampire girls are kinda hot to be honest. You know what's weird ever since I came from another world I have been way more open with what I say." Jakub replied.
Everyone stared at Jakub and Emily began to palm her face.
"What does that mean?" Amaya asked
"What does what mean?" He replied
"From another world." She stated.
"I never said that."
"You totally just said, ever since I came from another world."
"Why would I say that? That doesn't even make sense."
Emily sighed. "Fine we're both from other worlds and we were both killed there and now we're here." She shrugged and still sat there.
"Oh so it's like those anime's!!! That's freaking awesome!" Amaya got extremely excited.
