A random pokemon journey

Alexander was a fairly normal guy on earth or at least he hoped so. Somehow though he had gone his entire life without playing a single pokemon game or watching any of the anime. That changed when his friends kept pestering him about it and he finally gave in and purchased a few of the games that came highly recommended such as emerald , fire red , platinum and heart gold. He also bought a cheap ds lite to play all of them when he was off work. Unfortunately he was struck by lightning the moment he finished the last of them and died. He ended up awakening in a small cave at the foot of a mountain forest and learned he had a system to help him in this new and very dangerous world. AUTHOR Note------- This story will only be taking place in the world before the fairy type came out so only those regions exist in this version of the pokemon world. There will also be casual smut and maybe possibly an actual romantic option but I haven't decided yet , also no harems. I would like to add that everything with the system is RNG based so I have no control over it.

Desperate struggle

"Thud!" Vulcans paw slammed into the Heatrans back and made a dull metallic sound like if a heavy wrench had been dropped to the ground. Vulcan immediately blurred away as the Heatran retaliated angrily. I could only sigh when I saw that there was barely any damage at all despite Vulcan hitting it as hard as it could. 'I should have guessed this would be the case , a physically damaging move like stomp would be very ineffective against a metal body like this.' I thought but the idea of removing Vulcan from the fight didn't even cross my mind.-

It was true that Vulcans move pool was all but useless against Heatran but it was still my fastest attacker and could definitely go for quantity over quality so long as it leveraged it's speed properly. "Again!" I commanded and my team obeyed while changing it up slightly. The Heatran wasn't idle either and started glowing brown in the face while glaring at Rune which was the start of earth power like it tried to hit us with earlier. "Rune evade!" I called and he immediately glowed white and shot high up to the ceiling of the cave as the wave of stone rolled under him.-

At the same time Gaia's sand bomb struck the Heatran in the side and detonated in a violent blast of pressure and grinding sand. "RAAAAAAAGH!" the Heatran screamed in pain at the super effective move which told me it had taken a decent amount of damage. Or at least I thought so until the dust cleared and I saw the impact site of the move. There was in indeed damage but far less than I was expecting as the move had created a weeping web of cracks on the location that was painful but barely more than surface level injuries.-

The Heatran leveled a baleful eye at Gaia that made her stiffen as it used leer on her which was not good. As if to prove this it's face glowed silver and I yelled out in panic "DODGE!" right as the Heatran began to charge at a pretty fast speed , faster than Gaia at least. She certainly tried to get out of the way but the iron head still clipped her on the side and she screamed as her carapace cracked and she was sent spinning into the cave wall.-

"CRASH! CRUMBLE!" the stone broke on impact and sent up a huge amount of dust as rocks chipped off the wall and were sent falling bellow. I activated my x-ray vision to see through the dust cloud and at Gaia and paled at what I saw. She was alive but hurt bad as that attack had created a massive weakpoint in her carapace where she was struck from a lot of cracks and even some internal damage. "Yani nature orb there!" I commanded and she obeyed sending a ball of green grass type energy flying into where I pointed.-

The Heatran looked on with cold disdain at this like we were stupid for using a grass type move on a rock and ground type like Gaia. In any other case I would agree but nature orb was a pure healing move so for once that super effectiveness worked in our favor as the energy healed more than if it were used on any other type pokemon. It was enough to rapidly heal the internal injury as well as most of the external parts but Gaia knew how to fight dirty and acted down for the count as Vulcan stomped on the damage she did earlier on the Heatran making it selectively ignore her.-

I saw this and knew she must have had a plan and chose to trust her on this as I focused on two active combatants in Rune and Vulcan. "Thunderwave!" I called and Rune discharged a wave of energy as he fell from the ceiling he had leapt to previously. The Heatran shuddered and got a bit stiff as paralysis set in which REALLY seemed to piss it off. The surface level injuries had also been made worse when Vulcan viciously targeted them with it's attack and the Heatran was bleeding from the area noticeably.-

The magma at the feet of the Heatran began to bubble and froth as the Heatran gathered a massive amount of energy. "Retreat!" I commanded while backing the hell up my damn self. It was a good thing too as the magma exploded from around the Heatran violently in every direction like a storm of fire and molten rock. I admittedly wasn't all that familiar with the Heatran species moves so I wasn't sure if that was a custom move or not but I did know it was not something we wanted to get hit by.-

Even Vulcan that was extremely heat resistant as a fire type avoided the move desperately. Despite my warning my pokemon were both hit with the move and my thoughts were proven correct as immediately the energy of the move seemed to latch onto them and move to cause as much damage as possible. "CHAAAAAAR! EEEEEEEEEENN!" they both screamed in agony as burns appeared on them and the energy attacked them as if alive for a few moments as the Heatran panted but watched with sadistic glee. Once the move finally ended both Vulcan and Rune were covered in horrifying burns with charred skin and burnt flesh.-

Despite this however neither passed out to save themselves suffering but stood firm with determined expressions. Yani and I both moved to apply healing in our own ways as I used some burn heals while she hit both of them with a nature orb. The Heatran no longer looked so smug when it saw how much the move healed both of them and it's gaze turned coldly towards Yani as it acknowledged her as the biggest threat to it. It was clearly confident in it's strength but it was also clearly smart enough to know that at group like my team that ganged up on it at once and could be healed greatly in an instant would be a big problem for it.-

Somehow though the Heatran had seemingly forgotten about Gaia and my girl was about to show why that was a mistake. She had kept it hidden behind a stone grasp she sneakily created during the chaos but in front of her she had a sand bomb that made me nervous to look at. It was about the same size as her and if I wasn't wrong contained the entirety of her energy.-

I knew immediately what her plan was and it was risky to say the least. That single attack was her all and once she used it she would be a spent force regardless of the outcome. She was gambling that it hit and I was going to do everything I could to make sure that it paid off. "Rune Flashing rain , Vulcan leer! Hit it as many times as you can!" I commanded as I drew my spear. They both looked at me questioningly but I merely nodded seriously and they grit their teeth and started moving.
