When I saw the objective of my new mission I was not surprised. In fact, since he gave me the first ones I already assumed that this would be the next one. But what surprised me were the rewards, of which I only understood 1 of them, the update of the system, while, of the other two peculiarities, one I had no idea what it was and the other I already had and I did not understand why the system will give the same as the other he gave me before, could it be that the system is broken or something like that? Is it even possible for a system to break down?

"System, I think you owe me some explanations about the rewards of the mission" – I said.

"At naked eye? That will be for you, to begin with, what is the peculiarity "Unbreakable Love" and what does it do? I would also like to know how the system will improve with the update and why you will give me the same peculiarity again" – I said.

I don't know why he thought that i can see with the naked eye, but it definitely doesn't.

One of the few things I remember from the film and the books is that Emma was in love with my grandfather, Abe while in the film it was Olive who was in love with him and it is also true that both never forgot about him even when he was dead, their feelings did not disappear and that saddened the protagonist. I have no idea if in the books Emma ended up being the protagonist's wife, but if not, that could explain why I never read those books again and why I got so angry when I got to a certain point, whereas I don't have bad memories of the movie, so maybe (I don't remember), Olive forgot about Abe in the film and she did fall in love with the protagonist for real and not like in the books.

Anyway, I don't remember exactly, but what I do remember are the words written in the letter, that letter from Miss Peregrine who said that E and O missed him and fought over him, referring to my grandfather.

O and E must refer to Olive and Emma, while the second part must refer to the fact that, before leaving, they were in love with my grandfather and missed him, maybe they were even his girlfriends, I don't know, but this peculiarity is very useful.

[That's right, thanks to this peculiarity, if something like this ever happens to you, those girls will forget about their feelings of LOVE for their ex boyfriend, but remember that the kiss must be consensual, you can't force the other person to kiss you, otherwise, the peculiarity won't have any effect at all. So watch out for that]

"It seems right to me. Although I am a gentleman anyway and I would never kiss a girl if she does not want to, however, this skill is very useful, thank you very much, system" – I said.

I think that of all the peculiarities I have, this is the one I needed the most because it is the one that best matches my future goals.

It stands to reason that, if I go one at a time, it will take years to master a peculiarity in its entirety and there probably won't even be enough missions for it.

[Obviously yes, these are the first missions, that's why they're simple and have few rewards, but as they get more complicated, the rewards will be much better and more numerous, this is just the beginning, so you shouldn't worry]

It had been days since I completed the second mission and today was my last session with Doctor Golan before going to the island.

By the way, I also took the final exams at school and not only did I pass all the subjects, but I got a 10 in each and every one of them, did you expect less from me? I already said that I have a good memory and I still remember what I learned in high school, so it was easy for me to get a 10 even without studying.

Thanks to that, I convinced my parents a little more to take me to the island, the good grades had put them in a very good mood and they no longer made a bad face every time I talked about it, in fact, the same day I brought my grades home, my father informed me that he had already booked a room in what was the only hotel on the entire island, I think it was called the "Hog's Hole" or something like that, the truth is that I don't care about its name. Even though it doesn't sound in any way like the name that a normal hotel would have, but I had to put up with it, it was necessary.

Our stay there would be for a month and a few days of the next, specifically 4, so I would have 4 weeks and 4 days to meet the peculiar children and who knows... flirt a little with girls.

But I was also sure that my stay there would not be pleasant at all. I knew that I would have to face many difficulties to achieve my goals because, although I do not remember what happened at all, I know perfectly well what the wights are, but I have no idea of its history, those memories remained sealed, as well as the main villain of the story, so don't ask me because I have no idea.

In any case, during these days I had mentally prepared myself about everything that the future was going to hold for me and I was ready to face the difficulties that I would surely have to face.

As far as my exercises are concerned... There is nothing new, my peculiarities related to the hollow I cannot practice them because there are no hollows here and I am bogged down in terms of my other peculiarity. Besides, with the little time I had, my strength and endurance did not improve much, but everything counts.

But as I said, today was my last session with Doctor Golan, which meant that, after this session I would get rid of him forever, no more psychiatrists, all that nonsense about Jacob suffering from a "Shock" is over, I will no longer have to endure tedious talks about how my childhood was, the constant and boring questions about my grandfather and some advice that, with all the respect, I didn't care about them in the least.

So I would only have to endure a few more minutes there and goodbye forever.

"Jacob, I have been told that you have passed all your subjects and with a 10, that is excellent, I congratulate you" – said Dr. Golan.

"That's right, I have a good memory" – I nodded.

"Well, I'm glad, because I guess your parents will be quite happy about it and will have stopped making a bad face every time they remember your 'vacation' on the island" – said Dr. Golan.

"Yes, the one who has passed everything and with a 10 has been very useful. In fact, we already have the reservation, we will stay 1 month and 4 days in a hotel called "Pig's Hole"" – I nodded.

"A name that makes it seem unappetizing, don't you think?" – he said.

"That's right, but it's the only hotel on the island, so... we have no choice but to stay there" – I nodded.

There, he was right.

"Well, unfortunately it seems that our session is about to end, but before you go, I would like to wish you a good holiday, I hope you find what you are looking for on that island and that, at last, you overcome the death of your grandfather" – said Dr. Golan.

And then, he gave a small smile that made me suspicious.

What does he mean by searching? Is it referring to the orphanage or is it a simple metaphor that I should not give importance to? Anyway, I think I'm worrying too much and I don't have time for this nonsense.

"I'll do that, thank you" – I said politely.

Then, I said goodbye to him and left.
