Blessings

It has been a month since grandpa returns, and Mahendra completes lots of his work. Now he only needs to sometimes visit the office, and the remaining most work can be done through laptop and with phone calls. He decided now to start to tick off the bucket list.

But before started to complete the bucket list, he needs to propose Reva. So today he decided to take her on a dinner date. But this date is quite different from their various date. He personally decorated everything. From the petals on the table to the candle he on the table and decorations, everything personally chosen by him.

He also cooks the food himself. He doesn't cook many dishes, he just makes some paratha, which he going to serve with pickle. He understands it is not very stylish things to do, but he originally planned a lot of things, but while doing things goes mess up. Anyway, he decided to serve only these things.

When Reva comes to their apartment, she smiled at the aroma of food. She comes inside and sees her dear boyfriend in an apron. As the saying goes a man looks very handsome when he is concentrating on his work, but if a man is cooking for you and with full concentration, he will look heavenly handsome.

Mahendra gives her a smile, tells her to wait for five minutes, he is serving the dishes, Reva nodded, but she comes in the kitchen and hugs him from behind. Mahendra tells her not to do any naughty things, listening to this Reva bite his neck.

"Reva…."

"What…."

"Stop doing that"

"Why?"

"Because we need to eat," Mahendra says and quickly flees with dishes towards the dinner table.

After arranging the table, Mahendra remember the wine glass he prepared for them, he put the ring inside it, he sees this in many movies and decided to use the same cliché idea.

He tells Reva to start eating and goes inside, Reva seeing him coming with glasses guesses what Is happening, and it makes her so happy.

But maybe she is getting happy too soon.

While bringing the glasses Mahendra suddenly feels pain in his head. And fainted on the spot. Reva seeing him collapsing froze for a minute but then she moves quickly. Thankfully the place Mahendra falls doesn't have any edgy things. Reva doesn't know what to do. She first finds a pillow and puts Mahendra's head on it, and then she sprays some water on his face.

Mahendra regains his consciousness in a few minutes. This also happened one week before. That time doctor tells him not to work so hard.

But he due to completing all the projects on time don't take his warning seriously.

When he opens his eyes he sees the worried face of Reva. He feels guilty to run their date like this.

"Are you feeling unwell, let's go to the hospital," Reva questions him.

"No need, I am alright now" Mahendra replied.

"No, we will go to see a doctor' Reva said.

"Okay, okay but atleast first finish the dinner" Mahendra requested on which Reva don't say anything.

When Mahendra falls the glasses in his hands also fall, and the rings too. Mahendra after realizing this started to search for the ring.

"What happens?" Reva ask.

"nothing" Mahendra don't want to spoil the surprise, fortunately, he found the ring quickly.

"So you are going to propose me?" Reva questions him seeing the ring.

"Hmm, I plan such a good dinner, but by fainting like that, I spoil our date, but anyway lets me ask you" After saying this, he kneels on one knee in front of her, and ask her.

"Will you marry me, my dear?"

"Of course yes," Reva said while hugging him. Due to this sudden hug, he lost his balance, Reva also realizes what she do in excitement, and cover his head with her hand so he will not be injured. Seeing this Mahendra gives a chuckle, his proposing plan gets successful but today he falls two times.

Reva eats the food made by him like it is the most delicious and expensive food in the world. Seeing her praising him so much Mahendra can't help but smile. Who has thought such a simple person can make his life excited.

After dinner, he wanted to avoid going to the doctor, but Reva is too stubborn to listen to him, she doesn't even let him drive. Anyway, after checking him doctor again tells the same result, don't overwork.

After listening to all the instructions and after expressing her gratitude, Reva takes Mahendra home, she is quite annoyed due to his overworking.

"I tell you not to overwork still, you already earn so much, and even if you don't have money I still able to earn to feed us" Reva said with some anger in her voice.

"I just wanted to complete the work so we can complete the task on the list, I am afraid I don't have much tiem left" Mahendra replied in a sad voice. He is also tired, tired of all those restrictions, tired of constant fear, tired of the grief in his heart.

"I am sorry," Reva said while stopping the car on the roadside, she realized that she needs to speak with Mahendra seriously about the task.

"You don't need to say sorry" Mahendra again replied.

"But let me make one thing clear, which is the list we made is not a to-do list, we don't need to complete every task, but it is the list which we made to feel joy, if you are feeling the burden of that then we don't need to fulfill it," Reva said in a calmer tone, she can see most often Mahendra do the things like it is his duty, he is not doing something so it can make him happy. She can understand all his mood swings, but again what is the use of doing all the things if you are not happy.

"...I am sorry" Mahendra realized his mistake. Everyone around him trying their best to make him happy, and here he living in self pity. He also feels frustrated due to that.

"I am not scolding you, it just I hope you understand that for us seeing you happy is the thing which most matters," Reva said.

"I understand," Mahendra said and look outside of the car, and to his surprise, there is raining outside, not heavily, it is just a small drizzle.

"Reva let's go outside" Mahendra order her, before she can say anything. Reva doesn't understand why, but still, she complies with his wish.

When Reva comes outside, Mahendra pulls her and puts his nose on her nose, Reva still not used to this intimacy, but still doesn't push him away.

"Let's complete our first task," Mahendra said, and later he doesn't even give her a chance to say something and directly kiss her. Reva is somewhat tired due to Mahendra's sudden collapsing, Even though she doesn't say anything. It doesn't mean that she doesn't fear, she already once see him dying. She doesn't know how she is going to survive after seeing him again in that state.

Anyway, this kiss calms her down. It Even calms down Mahendra. After knowing about his illness, he often thinks about his life. He suddenly lost interest in lots of things, but after Reva come into his life, he doesn't feel that sad.

Knowing that there is someone who is crying for you, who is trying to share your burden with you is a blessing.
