A new Commander Battlestar Galactica 2003

Woke up as the commander of the Battlestar Daedalus. There will be a few sex scenes so if you can’t stand them don’t read. Also I’m in no way good at writing such things so if you don’t like simply skip them.

Chapter 2

I have to admit that I am pretty thankful to whatever god or being brought me in to this universe for multiple reasons really.

One was that by the time I was brought here, I know for a fact that the rest of my family had already passed on so that I didn't leave anybody behind except maybe a few friends. But I had a long life and my parents and siblings were already long since gone.

And two, that whoever put me in this reality, didn't put me here as my ship was already being nuked by Cylons. I guess you could even call this a soft start instead of a terror inducing start like some of the fanfictions I read in my past life liked to do sometimes.

With that said I could feel that shit was about to go down. It's only been a few hours since I got here but I feel like I accomplished quite a lot and maybe even gave the colonies a chance at survival.

I even found out a way of telling Nagala about certain human form Cylons without really ratting my Six and her sisters out. The tried and true 'someone slipped me information' but it's up to us to prove if it's real and since I know a certain model Ones name, he was my human Cylon sacrifice. I also informed the admiral that he couldn't actually kill him as he would just be resurrected and be able to give info to his brethren that much quicker.

I didn't really want to rat out the resurrection ability but I also didn't want to risk the enemy escaping through resurrection either.

Since I had to go through my comms officer to pass on my traffic, she looked pretty grim when she was passing this information on to Nagala but the only thing that struck me about her was that she looked almost like she could be Naomi Scotts twin sister who played in Aladdin and then I knew some god was having his way with me as her name was Junior Lieutenant Jasmine Scott.

Oh well, eye candy at least as I can't simply sex up my crew like that well unless she is a model Six Cylon goddess anyways. Totally worth it.

I'm glad my ship and flotilla were no longer attached to the massive shipyard as it was quiet one moment and then the next it was organized chaos.

"Admiral! Dradis contact, Cylons! Two Cylon Basestars and multiple heavy raiders incoming!" My tactical officer yelled out, fear in her voice clear but still professional. I just nodded to Trish telling her to fight her ship. She needed no more motivation than that before she started to snap off orders.

But we knew this was coming soon, we had prepared! It's why my ships already had their guns prepared to rain destruction on the enemies and my Viper prepared to launch. Though admittedly I thought there would be more enemy Capitol ships here, I expected at minimum 3 but thought there could be as many as 5, though the series was never really clear I suppose, they could have simply jumped in dozens of heavy raiders with nukes ready to go I guess.

I could see Pegasus struggling to disengage from the shipyard and thought back to my conversation with her. She truly is arrogant. She ignored all warnings about probable incursions which surprised me quite a bit, the other ships that originally died had mostly disengaged themselves already and stood in my formation and prepared but Pegasus and one other ship that was undergoing critical maintenance were struggling to get themselves free of the death trap.

Did I forget to mention that when I got promoted, that I made sure my xo got promoted to take command of the Daedalus for me while I deal with the fleet. It worked out for me honestly as she was competent as fuck probably more than myself as I'm still sorting my memories somewhat and things can be confusing on occasion.

So I just watched while occasionally snapping off orders to different ships in my fleet, mostly my ordering consisted of one of the Valkyrie classes to snapjump to the target designated as BS2 and nuke the fuck out of it upon completion of said jump. It was the plan anyways, everyone's jump drives were already spooled up and waiting for coordinates. Not normally wise under normal situations but since I knew we had imminent incoming as I was following Kendra Shawn's movements in the fleet to give me a basic timeframe as I know Pegasus got her teeth kicked in a few good minutes after she landed.

It worked out fairly well in the end, one Basestar was nearly immediately slagged and the next died in nuclear fire from a United front of seven not disabled Battlestars. I can't say how the rest of the fleets or colonies were doing, I didn't really want to know. I already knew a lot of people would die today and more so in the coming days. The question is how many of our ships managed to get their systems cleared to get in to the fight?

Reports were coming in from all over the cyrannus system, civilians begging for help, Commanders trying to figure out what the frakk was going on and even on occasion ships crying out that their ships were basically completely shut down on them those communications tended to end in static moments later.

There wasn't much we could do to help, someone had to protect the shipyards or we could never rebuild. I just hope this wasn't a lost cause or I would take as many ships that would go and flee like I was chased by the hounds of hell. I'm no coward by any means but I see no reason for myself or my people to die here if things become untenable.

I also found it amusing that the only ship that took any damage was the Pegasus. She took a stray shot from a missile that managed to get through our screen of fire.

"Admiral, traffic coming through from Pegasus, she says she is taking command of the fleet!" Jasmine sounded something between exasperated and concerned.

"Tell that idio…. I mean Admiral Cain, that Admiral Nagala orders supersedes hers and our orders are to protect the Shipyards so that you know… we can repair and build ships… tell her that she can ask for volunteers but no more than two other ships besides hers." Hopefully that will placate the idiot. Jasmine looked red in the face trying not to laugh her ass off even given the situation.

"Pegasus acknowledges! Two Valkyrie's are breaking away." That's fine they are good ships but not indispensable.

"How is civilian traffic looking tactical?" I asked her wondering if there were even any ships capable of jumping still in system.

"There are well over 50 civilian ships, mostly capable of jumping with about a dozen unable. The civilian ships are huddled between the shipyard and the planet for now though they are spread out slightly, we have 5 wings of vipers from throughout the battle group patrolling through them in case of Cylon attack." She was concise in her answer. That's good, we may need those ships to form up and evacuate in the coming days.

"Very well, we can leave them there for now, not much we can do for them as it is until we get new orders or new information." Trish just nods her agreement.

"For now We just hold station, there is fighting all over the system but the moment we jump away I wouldn't be surprised if the shipyard went up in a fireball." The bridge crew grimaced at that. There were no real good answers.
