“Actually, no,” Tonio replied. “After yesterday, we all need a bit of down-time to recuperate and regenerate. I’ll see to it that Camilla’s safely stowed away at Lex’s place and we’ll meet back here tomorrow.”
“Need a lift?” Felan asked him.
“Yeah, it would be safer that way. Camilla…” Tonio held out his hand. When she came over to take it, Felan linked his hands with theirs and instantly they were gone.
“I think I’m going to go home and work on my garden,” Mattie said. “Care to join me, Reni?”
“Sure, as long as I can stay under the trees. I’m not big on getting sunburned.” She grinned when Dirk looked at her aghast. “Remember what I told you, I can tolerate the sun as long as I’m well covered.”
“And I have the perfect hat you can use,” Mattie promised her. “So let’s go.”
After the two women left, Bay turned to Dirk. “What are you going to do for R&R?”
“Probably go home and read, or watch TV, and vegetate.”
