Chapter 46

It's 7:00pm an Cassandra is still not at home her phone was also off. Mr. Vincent and Amelia were so worried they called the police but there was still no sign of her.

"Where could she have gone to?" Amelia was so worried.

"This is unlike her" Mr. Vincent added.

"Could it be that she is with Liam or her friend's?" Amelia said thoughtfully.

"She would have called to say she won't be back early. " Mr. Vincent said.

"I think we should call Liam, she might be with him" Amelia said. Before they would make a move to call, someone knocked the door. They couple ran to the door hoping it will be Cassandra or some who has a clue about where she is. When they opened the door, Liam was standing there with a smile.

"Good evening" Liam greeted.

"Good evening, how are you doing?" Mr. Vincent asked.

"I'm fine thank you. Please is Cassandra home?" Liam asked.

"She is not with you?" Amelia asked.

"no..." Liam was confused. Like what the heck is going on?.

"She is not at home either. She didn't come back after school" Mr. Vincent felt his heart tightened.

"What?" Liam exclaimed and zoomed off, not giving Cassandra's parents a chance to talk.

Liam wanted to head for Mr. Roberts house but what if she is not there? With that thought, Liam decided to go home and ask for his uncle's help.

Liam couldn't just bare the thought of something bad happening to Cassandra.

"Uncle Leonard! " Liam exclaimed as he badged into his uncle's room.

"What's wrong?" Mr Leonard asked.

"Uncle... Leonard... Cas...Sandra... Is... Missing" Liam said trying to catch his breath as a result of his long run.

"Missing? When? How?" Mr. Leonard was alerted.

"I don't know how. But she didn't go home after school" Liam replied.

"Wait first" Mr. Leonard said with a frown and then stormed out of the room leaving Liam behind. He entered his car and zoomed off leaving not giving Liam the chance to follow. He then picked up his phone and called Gary.

"Gary... The girl is missing" Mr Leonard said as soon as Gary picked up.

"Cassandra? But Robert did not leave the house today and he didn't make a call. He just asked me to plan a way to abduct her" Gary replied.

"Meet me at the cafe" Mr. Leonard said and ended the call.

After a short while, Mr. Leonard and Gary meet at the cafe.

"Gary if Robert is asking you to find a way of abducting the girl then it means he is not responsible for her disappearance" Mr. Leonard said thoughtfully.

"That obvious" Gary replied.

"then who is responsible for her disappearance?" Mr. Leonard was getting more worried.

"Maybe another person is also after her" Gary said thoughtfully.

"Could she have offended someone?" Mr. Leonard asked not expecting an answer.

"This issue needs to be investigated" Gary said.

"Let's wait till tomorrow. We might get some informations from within the school" Mr. Leonard said.

Mr. Leonard felt sorry for the poor girl. He couldn't help the thought of her disappearance being a result of her relationship with Liam. The girl is way too good an innocent to be facing such challenges.

"That reminds me. Leonard... You have to be very careful, Laura and Robert are planning to eliminate you" Gary said jolting Mr. Leonard out of his thoughts.

"Gary, I think you have to go back. Continue to keep an eye on that beast." Mr. Leonard said.
