Chapter 40

"Your dad is still alive...." Mr. Leonard said making Liam to freeze.

"Daddy?... Alive?" Where the only words Liam could utter.

"Yes.. It's hard to believe right?" Mr. Leonard asked. Liam was so speechless.

"Well then here is a prove" Mr. Leonard said and video called Mr. Williams.

When Liam saw that it was indeed his dad's face the word "dad..." Left his lips unknowingly.

"Son,... You've gown so much" Mr. Williams said with a wide smile.

"Dad... You are alive all this years how did you manage to stay away... How did you even survive the assassination?" Liam was so filled with disbelief.

"Liam, listen to daddy, your mom and Robert were having an affair and wanted me out of the way. When they discovered I know about everything, they decided to kill me. Your mom poisoned my food thrice and when she suspected that I might know about it, she asked Robert to do it. So he kill Gary's mom and sisters and framed me for it thinking Gary will kill me to avenge but it was like Gary had a different plan So he had to send assasins. Your uncle Leonard secretly used spywares to listen to his calls and that was how we find out about the plan" Mr. Williams paused and smiled sadly.

"When the assasins attacked that night, I was was shot on the left side of my chest. One of the assassins came in to make sure I'm dead but unfortunately, your uncle was hiding behind the car. Leonard hit the guy real hard on the head making him to pass out. I don't know how your uncle managed to sneak out of the car with me without being noticed. All I could remember was the car was set ablaze before I also passed out. The person found in the car wasn't me, it was the assassin. Nobody knew because the face the man was burned."

"But dad... You were shot...." Liam was still in a shock state.

"Yeah... The bullet barely missed my heart and I lost so much blood. Your uncle rushed me to the hospital for some treatments before we secretly flied out for a better treatment. I stayed at the hospital for almost two years, its just a miracle that I survived" Mr. Williams replied.

"Dad we miss you so much" Liam said.

"I miss you guys too... How is my big madam doing?" Mr. William asked.

"She is fine, she looks bigger now" Liam replied. This time he start to believe it's really his dad because only him calls Gabriella 'big madam'.

"I have to stay away for now... When I return, Laura and Robert will pay for everything..." Mr Williams said with a reassuring smile.

"But dad, where are you?" Liam asked.

"You will soon know. But You have to graduate from high school first." Mr. Williams replied.

"Ok dad..." Liam replied.

"Yeah... Leonard will bring you over when the time comes" Mr. Williams added. And Liam nodded.

"So... I gotta go now... Bye boss" Mr. Williams said and hung up.

Liam felt so happy when his father called him boss... It has been a while.

"So.. I guess you now believe me?" Mr. Leonard asked.

"Yeah... I'm just so happy" Liam said.

"Mr. Robert should get ready for me" Liam said with a mischievous look.

"Forget about that, your day is already planning everything" Mr. Leonard replied.

"Well... Ok." Liam said but deep down he knew he won't be able to just fold his arms and watch.

"Good night uncle..." Liam said.

"Good night" Mr. Leonard replied and Liam left.

When he got to his room, he finally opened the box Cassandra gave him. A scarf, a wrist watch and a peice if paper were in it.

"Happy birthday! I hope all your birthday wishes and dreams come true" was written on the paper. It was a very short note but it meant alot to Liam.

Liam was just so happy. It's really his best birthday. Liam went to bed and slept while holding on to the scarf and wrist watch so tight.
