Chapter 38

Cassandra was strolling at the park somehow lost in thoughts. She missed Liam so much but he asked her not to visit him till on his birthday, he claimed it was for her own good.

"Wow... Never expected I'd see you here" someone spoke jolting her out of her thoughts.

"Kate...?" Cassandra was shocked.

"What are you doing here? I thought you traveled? " Cassandra asked.

"Yes I did travel... I'm not like you whose parents can't afford to travel for vacations" Kate replied mockingly.

"Well, they obviously can't afford it but at least we are always happy staying at home together" Cassandra replied with a smile.

"what are you doing here?" Kate asked.

"I should be asking you that... I leave around here" Cassandra replied.

"Oh... I guess Liam has also traveled right?" Kate asked. Cassandra was quite for a while. 'Could this be some kind of set up?' Cassandra wondered inwardly.

"I think so" Cassandra replied.

"I thought as much... Huh, Liam must be bored... He might even have another girlfriend there to keep him company" Kate said trying to piss Cassandra of.

"Miss Kate Johnson, if you don't have anything important to say I would like to leave" Cassandra said and walked away.

"Hey... Its not my fault that you are pathetic...!" Kate exclaimed but Cassandra acted deaf.

Liam sat down outside looking at the sky, it was bright and seem to promise a good day. The sky reminded him of Cassandra, to him she is like the sun and he is the sky... She made his life colorful.

"Why are you smiling this wide?" Mr. Leonard was suddenly sitting beside him.

"N... Nothing,... " Liam stammered. All that was in his mind was Cassandra and he did not noticed his uncle's presence.

"Mmmm... Thinking about her?" Mr. Leonard asked teasingly.

"Who?" Liam tried to sound and look innocent.

"Cassandra..." Mr. Leonard replied with a mischievous look.

"N... No..." Liam cut in quickly.

"You are obviously missing her" Mr. Leonard said.

"Well... Yes..." Liam replied shyly scratching his head.

"Lover boy... Go see her then" Mr. Leonard suggested.

"No... She will come over to celebrate my birthday" Liam replied.

"Its three days left... Are you sure you can survive it?" Mr. Leonard asked.

"I will try to" Liam feigned a crying face. And they both laughed...

"By the way how are you feeling?" Mr. Leonard asked.

"I don't feel much pain... I'm healing real fast" Liam replied.

"That's awesome" Mr. Leonard said.

Gary sat down outside his house looking at the flash drive staring at the flash drive Mr. Leonard gave him the other day. For some reason, he was scared to see what was in the flash drive. It's already a week now since he collected the flash drive but he only stare at it and keep it.

'Ok Gary... Its better to find out' he told himself inwardly and went to where his laptop is. His hands were shaking violently as he inserted the flash drive. Gary froze at what he saw... Mr. Robert was standing in a room where his mom and sisters were tied.

"I'm so sorry... But I have to do this... It's a part of my plan." He heard Mr. Robert spoke and in next moment, his mom and sisters were shot. After that, Mr. Robert called Mr. William and directed him to the place. Its obvious Mr. Robert used a different number to call. After the call, he called Gary and also asked him to come to that exact place. And then after that Mr. Robert broke the sim card and left with his men.

After a while, Mr. William arrived and was shocked at what he saw, and at that moment Gary also came in. Looking at his lifeless family and then at Mr. Williams, he concluded Mr. Williams was responsible for the murder. To him, Mr. William looked shocked because he wasn't expecting anyone to find out about where he is.

"Robert... You beast... You will pay for everything..." Gary said with a devilish look after watching everything.
