"You are jealous cos I'm talking about your sister...?" Cassandra asked I'm disbelief.

"hey... Let's forget about that" Liam said..

"Ok..." Cassandra managed to say.

"So... My girlfriend..." Liam could not not finish her statement because Cassandra flinched.

"Why do you always feel uncomfortable each time I say the word 'girlfriend'?" Liam asked.

Cassandra:"..... "

"There seem to be something that makes you feel uncomfortable about it" liam said.

"No... Nothing... There is nothing" Cassandra stammered.

"But it's obvious" Liam replied.

"I'm serious... There is nothing. You are actually my boyfriend and I'm your girlfriend... See? There is nothing wrong" Cassandra defended herself.

"Hmmm... I will just let it slide" Liam said.

"Yeah... Mom and dad know about us" Cassandra said.

Liam:".... "

"Well, daddy actually noticed something between you and me... So I had to answer a lot of questions. I just had to give in and tell them everything" Cassandra said with her head down.

"Wow... I'm really glad." Liam replied happily.

"It was a disaster... Mom said you are free to visit sometime" Cassandra said.

"Why don't we go now?" Liam was really enthusiastic about the whole thing.

"No... Not today please" Cassandra replied quickly.

"Why?" Liam asked feigning a sad face.

"I have answered enough questions already" Cassandra replied and Liam nodded.

Liam and Cassandra were still talking when he noticed something. A man standing some meters away from them has been acting really weird. He was wearing a black sweater with hood. It seems like he has been following him.

"Cassandra, I guess you should go home now. Something doesn't seem right" Liam said.

"What is it?" Cassandra asked.

"I think someone is after me... You have to go, I don't want this to have anything to do with you" Liam said and Cassandra could only give in.

"Alright... Bye. Be careful" Cassandra said. Liam gave her a quick peck on the forehead before she left.

Liam noticed the man was on a phone call and wasn't paying much attention to him, so he took the opportunity to hide. After some seconds, the man turned around and when he noticed the couple were no longer there, he brought out his phone to make another call. Meanwhile, Liam was in the bushes watching him closely.

"I'm sorry sir... I lost them. But I will find them as soon as possible." The man said and ended the call. "you lost us... But I found you" Liam was suddenly behind him. The man turned around and Liam knew there is really a problem. He also had a mask on.

"You idiot, You think you can out smart me?" The man said and moved to punch Liam but Liam dodged throwing him off balance. Turning around, the man brought out a small jackknife.

"Liam watch out...." Someone screamed and when Liam turned, he noticed the man was about to stab him. He dodged but the knife got his arm. Liam then kicked the man real hard on his groin out of anger. The man felt he could lose the fight so he stabbed Liam on his abdomen before managing to run.

Cassandra ran over to where Liam was lying.

"Liam?..." She called out with tears streaming down her eyes.

"Hey... Stop crying ok... I... Will... Survive this" Liam managed to speak.

"Come with me... Let's go home.... Your wounds have to be treated" Cassandra sobbed. She helped him get up and then took him home.

"Mom....! Mommy help!" Cassandra called out.

"Goodness.... What happened?" Amelia said as she rushed over to help her daughter.

"Liam?" Mr. Vincent was surprised.

They family took Liam to Cassandra's room and Amelia began to dress his wounds. Liam was so weak and in so much pain.

"Liam?... Look at me... You will be fine" Cassandra was still crying.

"I will be fine.... I promise" Liam said with heavy eyelids and then closed his eyes.
