Chapter 49: Not Like Other Women

Inside the hospital.

The moment Ryan entered the lobby, he saw the entire hospital staff gathered there, some of whom were on sitting on the ground frightened from that terrible experience.

He quickly scanned the entire staff but noticed that Soo Min was not there, and what increased the fear in his heart was the fact that neither were those three criminals.

Rushing over to one of the hospital staff members, he asked, "Park Soo Min. Where is she?"

"T—Those three men, they took her along with them. If I'm not wrong, they have gone to the last floor, as that's the only place under reconstruction, and the furthest away from here. You'll need to take the stairs from the fifty-sixth floor, as it is not accessible from the elevator." One of the nurses informed.

"Thank you." Ryan nodded and immediately rushed to the elevator lobby, and pressed the buttons for all of them, waiting for the whichever came first, before boarding one of them.

The Last Floor of the City Hospital.

Inside the large dark empty room, were the three criminals and a woman, who was tied to the wooden chair.

Not wanting to give up, Soo Min continued to rattle her chair, attempting to set her hands free from the rope, but it only caused her to hurt herself, due to the tightly bound rope.

She could feel her blood seizing on her wrists, which were covered with thin red marks. After her constant tries, she finally gave up.

Because if she went any further, she knew that she would pass out, so all she could do was wait for one of those police officers to rescue her.

Till then, she decided to preserve her remaining energy. The three men were standing at a nearby window, which was also the only light source in the room.

"Boss, so what do we do with her?" Dae Joon asked.

"What else are we going to do? We are going to use her as a bargaining chip for that businessmen to give us some money and a way for us to get out of here, unharmed." Hyeon Dae Hyun explained his plan to the other two men.

DING!

As soon as the elevator door opened, Ryan promptly strode out, taking large strides and opened every single door on the floor, but each one was empty.

Frustrated, Ryan placed his hand on his forehead trying to think where they could be, when his eyes landed on a particular door at the very end of the hallway.

Not wasting any more time, he quickly rushed over to that door.

The door was abruptly opened, slamming roughly against the concrete wall, and startling everyone in the room.

All heads turned towards the source of the sound.

When Ryan saw Soo Min safe and sound, a sense of relief coursed through him, but at the same time his anger reached to a boil when he thought of what could have happened to her if he wasn't here on time, and his aura dropped several degrees cold, as he looked at the three men standing right there.

Soo Min, on the other hand, frowned when she saw that he came to her rescue, on top of that with no police force.

"Looks like we have a guest." Hyeon Dae Hyun said with a smile, full of wickedness.

Just as Ryan was about to say something, Soo Min beat him to it.

"What the heck are you doing here?" She yelled.

When he heard her words, his forehead creased before he said, "What are you talking about? I'm obviously here for yo—"

"And how exactly are you going to do? Look! You don't even have a gun or weapon to fight with! Do you seriously think you're invincible or that you can dodge a bullet? Ahh! This man. Save yourself some trouble and leave." Soo Min shouted in frustration.

'What kind of dumb idiot is he? He clearly knows that these men were armed and he just comes here with any police force nor a weapon to fight with. He's just going to get himself killed along with me!' Soo Min mused.

Upon hearing her words, Ryan was dumbfounded. He thought she would be grateful or even start crying to know that he had come to save her, or at least that's usually how other girls react!

How could he forget that this woman was far from normal.

"Woman, you are going to be the death of me!" Ryan mumbled with a deep scowl present on his face.

"Be quiet! The two of you are giving me a headache. Dae Joon. Yuk In. Go finish him off." Hyeon Dae Hyun commanded to his two lackeys, who promptly followed along.

The two men picked up their weapons and strode towards Ryan. Seeing this, Soo Min's body tensed up and she yelled out to Ryan. "Why are you just standing there? Go! Just go! Ahh—"

Soo Min winced in pain when Hyeon Dae Hyun grabbed the back of her hair roughly, and stated in a dark voice. "Shut your mouth, if you don't want to die!"

Dae Joon quickly swung his wooden rod, aiming for Ryan's head. Soo Min widened her eyes and yelled, "Ryan!"
