I squint open my eyes to see two faint figures in black and white, standing in front of me. Their voice kept getting louder and louder till I started getting headaches.
The moment I clearly opened my eyes, they stopped talking. The figure in black left while the white figure stayed. I saw their hands reaching my face...
. . .
The next thing I knew, I was in a new room., sitting, with my feet tied to the legs of the chair I was sitting at.. My hands were free. In front of me, on the opposite side of the table, was Uncle's son. He was busy staring at his hand watch on the placed on the palm of his left hand, probably reading the time.
Without looking at me, he began speaking.
'Hello, Juliana,' he called me. 'At one point, you must be familiar with this room...' he took a pause. He lifted his head, his eyes gently meeting my eyes. An unsual occasion. I didn't feel the intensity in his gaze as I usually would when he came to our home.
