CHAPTER 18: Welcome to Luxamina

/ You follow Prince Haruna just behind. Everyone you pass by, bows. You arrived at the palace.



/ Your eyes widen at how beautiful the palace is but something else catches your eye, a long blue elf with his two long swords and many knights surround him. You want to ask but you are afraid that they will be suspicious. The elf bows

Elf: We serve with dignity, live with confidence, and die with honor. Welcome home, Your Highness.

Haruna: Thanks, Cyloriuk.



/ The elf catches your eyes and smiles. Then he looks at Prince Haruna. He nods. He bows towards you. Your eyes widen.

Cyloriuk: Welcome to Luxamina, Chris.

/ You are shocked at how he knows your name but you don't say anything.

Chris: Thanks.

/ He's opening the door. You find all of your friends eating at the biggest table you've ever seen. You look around and see the throne room and two female statues on either side of the throne chair.



Haruna: Aren't they wonderful?

/ You don't hear him because you are distracted.

Chris: Who are they?

/ You point to the two statues.

Haruna: It's a long story but on the left is Queen Skibula Surigah meaning "The Goddess of Sky and Wood". She was the first Queen of Skiburg, she was powerful, kind, confident and one of the most gorgeous women in the world. She built everything there is on the Skiburg Empire.

Katharina: Everything there was ...

/ You turn to find Princess Katharina is right behind you.

Haruna: Katharina? Sorry, I do not have ...

Katharina: What are you sorry about? There is nothing to be sorry about.

/ Prince Haruna looks down and doesn't say anything embarrassingly. The princess approaches you without moving her eyes from the statues. She sighs.

Katharina: She built everything there was in Skiburg. But only half. Because she was mainly in the war with almost all the empires.

Chris: Even Luxamina?

/ She turns to look at you.

Katharina: especially Luxamina.

Chris: What? But these two empires are allies.

Katharina: It wasn't always like that, Chris.

/ You want to ask more questions but Aria shakes her head as no to you.

Katharina: On the right is Queen Lamux Lamenita meaning "The goddess of earth and water". She was the first Queen of Luxamina, she was brave, noble, exceptional and one of the fearless women in the world. Everyone was terrified of her. She built Luxamina and even the name of the empire was inspired by her name.

Chris: Let me guess. Was there a conflict between the two queens?

Katharina: It wasn't just a conflict. You don't know the story of Skibula and Lamux? Lamux's bravery against the Skibula's power. The terrifying against beauty. The earth against the sky. The greatest war of all empires. How can you not know? It is a story that parents tell their children before they sleep.

/ Aria catches your eye and shakes her head again. You think of which logical answer she will believe in. You put your sore face

Chris: I lost my parents when I was little. People in my village were lying to me about their deaths, telling me stories that are not even true. The day I find the truth, I promise to myself never to trust what I hear but to trust the evidence. That's why I don't like stories.

/ You turn to face Katharina with a sad face. Princess Katharina turns to look at you. Tears shine in her eyes. She touches both of your hands

Katharina: I don't blame you and I'm sorry for what I said early on. I am really sorry.

Chris: It's okay. You have nothing to apologize for. You lost your parent too when you were little, I know how much that hurts.

/ She hugs you. You see Prince Haruna is sitting on the throne chair one foot above the other and watching you intently. And Aria catches your eyes and smiles proudly, you smile back and then someone behind you touches your shoulder.

Cyloriuk: Over here, Chris.

/ You follow him, you turn around to see that everyone is looking at you in confusion. He leads you to a room that looks like a library. You find Prince Haruna concentrating on a wall as you approach.

Chris: Wait, were you not on the throne chamber like right now?

/ Cyloriuk laughs. Prince Haruna speaks without moving his eyes from the wall.

Haruna: Have you ever heard the legend of "The War of the Three Queen".

Chris: no.

Haruna: It was the greatest war of all empires.

Chris: Isn't the war between the Queen of Luxamina and the Queen of Skiburg the greatest war of all empire?

Haruna: Precisely, but there was the third Queen. They called her the Dominant. Even with these queens teaming up, they never beat her. So they died in melee in the battle.

Chris: It's sad. Who was the third queen?

Haruna: No one knows, it's still a mystery. Except for one person. The person who killed her.

/ You wait for him to elaborate but he still looks at the wall and smiles. When you watch Cyloriuk, he does the same. You also try to focus on the wall but you can't see anything so you try to smile too. Prince Haruna sighs and turns to look at you and see you focus and smile at the wall. He touches it and smiles.

Haruna: We're not smiling at the wall, Chris. But at what inside the wall?

Chris: Can you see through the wall?

Haruna: No. There is a code. You have to open it.

/ He withdraws his hand and you see 4 holes engraved on the walls.

Haruna: You have to put 4 correct letters on the holes and the wall will open.

/ He points to the small box next to the wall where inside you see many letters.

Chris: Why are you telling me that?

Haruna: The answer to your questions is behind the wall and the answer to the wall is inside this bookcase.

/ He speaks as he walks towards the door. He opens the door and stops.

Haruna: Let me give you a hint, a rule, and a condition. The rule is that no one except you should see what's inside the wall which means no one else is helping. And the clue is that Lamux and Skibula were sisters so find something in common for them.

/ You swallow because the mystery of opening the wall remains difficult for you and you don't like the rule. You think of the worst condition he can give. You pray not to be "Time". Prince Haruna has an intense face.

Haruna: ooh, and the condition. You won't leave this room until you find what's behind this wall.

Chris: Why me?

Haruna: I told you that I'll show you who you really are.

Chris: And I asked you what you meant.

/ Then he closes the door.

Prince of Luxamina has locked Chris in the library to open the wall and find out who killed the third Queen in "the war of three Queens". Who was the third Queen?
