CHAPTER 17: Royal's pact

/ In the morning while going to Luxamina Palace. You are walking.

Vlad: How long before we get there?

Haruna: With luck, we'll get there before sunset.

Galvert: I have never been to Luxamina before. I am both excited and nervous.

/ You think of all the possible ways that they are going to welcome you if they know you are lying about being a Luxamy.

Haruna: Don't worry, Galvert. They will like you.

Galvert: I say this on behalf of everyone here. Thank you, Your Highness.

/ Prince Haruna nods and then turns to the princess.

Haruna: Are you okay?

Katharina: Not my good day, but it's not your fault.

Haruna: I promise you we'll get justice for this.

/ Princess Katharina puts her index finger to silence Prince Haruna.

Katharina: (Promises can be the builder or the destroyer of the relationship.) Please don't make any promises to me.

Haruna: Using my own words against me. Very clever, Katharina.

/ Then they hug.

Aria: Can we now get on the horse, my feet are starting to sting

Vlad: We haven't stopped anyone. The princess wanted to walk so I have to, but you don't.

/ Aria and a few knights ride horses.

Aria: I know how to reach Luxamina. Meet you there.

/ And several knights follow her behind. But Vlad Cogred stops them.

Vlad: STOP!!! How can you leave the princess behind?

Katharina: Everyone's exhausted, Vlad. Let them go to rest and the Alverg forest is not so dangerous. I don't risk anything.

/ The princess gives them the signal to leave. But Vlad looks nervous. Princess Katharina squeezes his hand.

Katharina: Relax, you and Galvert are the people I need on my side right now.

Galvert: And it will be.

Vlad: Yes, we will be on your side, princess, and forever.

/ You feel like you are being followed but you continue anyway.

Haruna: Is everything okay, Chris?

Chris: Sorry, what?

Haruna: You seem silent today.

Chris: Yeah, just a tough night.

/ You look at Princess Katharina and smile, she meets your eyes but does not smile. You wonder if you did something that upset her.

While later, the feeling of being followed returns.

Chris: Stop everyone.

Haruna: Is everything okay?

Chris: I have a feeling that we are being followed.

Haruna: By who?

Chris: I don't know but give me a minute.

/ After a while.

Vlad: It's a waste of time, let's continue.

Haruna: Wait.

/ Right at this time. An arrow is aimed at you. With a perfect reflex, you dodge

Chris: Are those Vlanakian's pirates?

/ A cry comes above you. You see Mal who was hidden in a big tree leaps straight at you with a sword trying to kill you but you take yours off and block its attack. You beat Mal easily when you turn around to look around, you see it's chaos. Everyone is fighting. Suddenly you hear a voice behind you.

Victoria: Finally. Someone I wanted to kill.

Chris: Victoria, let me explain.

Victoria: Shut up and fight. We pirates settle things with the sword.

/ She raises her sword and begins to fight. You try to block it as many times as you can.

Chris: Hear me out first.

Victoria: You lied to me, that's enough to cut your head off.

/ When you look around you see that the chaos is over, no one is fighting anymore. Only you and Victoria.

Chris: You are gonna let her kill me.

Victoria: Hey, focus. They know the rules. They get involved, I cut their hands off.

Chris: What rules?

Victoria: We call it the Royal Pact. Because you lied to me, I decided what to do with you. And I decided to fight you to the death.

Chris: Royal Pact? Isn't it reserved only for the royal

Victoria: Yeah. For your information. I am Queen Amelia's second daughter.

/ You swallow while she still hits you hard.

Chris: Damn it. I don't want to fight you. This rule is stupid. Whoever wrote it, wasn't he thinking of mistakes?

/ Everyone around you starts to whisper.

Victoria: Shut up.

/ She locks your sword with hers and flips it down then up, it flies away from you. You remain without a sword. Victoria raises her sword to your throat and you raise your hand defensively.

Victoria: Last word!

/ Before answering, an arrow passes between you and Victoria so fast and strikes next to you. With a surprise, you turn around and see that it was Prince Haruna who shot it.

Haruna: End your madness. I have no more time to waste here.

/ He walks over to take his arrow and lean close to Victoria.

Haruna: If you want the bracelet. We don't have it. Veronica already took it. And with the story behind both of you, I'm sure you don't want to get involved in all of this, so basically Chris saved your life meaning you owe him life and not take it. Based on the rules.

/ Before leaving, he turns and bends over you.

Haruna: And the rules aren't stupid, you just need to know the principles. And yes, I was thinking about the mistakes when I wrote them.

/ With that, he gets on his horse.

Haruna: We have at least 2 hours before we get home, I recommend leaving now and arriving before sunset.

/ He turns to look at the pirates.

Haruna: You need to refresh yourself. Come with me.

/ They all bow and ride their horses.

While later, before sunset, you arrive at Luxamina. Before reaching the door, it opens. You find five knights in black armor bowing behind the door. And you hear somebody blow a horn above you. Then from afar, you hear like big drums. You look at Prince Haruna, he catches your eyes and smiles more than you have ever seen. He beckons you to follow him with his head above a large mountain. He accelerates and you follow him, when you look down you see that everyone has stopped. That you are the only one to follow him. When you are on top of the mountain. You see it. You see Luxamina in its fully vision. What a view!



Haruna: I miss this view.

Chris: It's so beautiful. The best sunset I have ever seen. Why haven't they joined us?

Haruna: I knew you were going to ask that question. Every kingdom has its weaknesses and this mountain is ours.

Chris: How?

Haruna: Huh. You are now interested in the stupid rules of the Royal Pact.

Chris: That's not ... what I ... mean.

/ You stop talking when you see Prince Haruna laughing.

Chris: Wait, did you just make a joke? Can you make jokes?

Haruna: I'll tell you about our weaknesses but first let me show you who you are.

Chris: What do you mean about that?

/ But when you turn, you see Prince Haruna is already gone. You follow him behind.

Chris: What do you mean by "who I am"?

Haruna: I know who you are, Chris but do not worry.

/ He winks and continues. You stop and swallow.

Chris: Oh...boy...I'm dead.
