chapter 49 : with great power come great responsibilities

At that time stella body was emitting a powerful light as stella herself transform into a gigantic being with 6 tail with a light brown fur on her body and sharp teeth, as she growl at the dragon who didn't nothing as the dragon only look at stella beast mode.

"Holy..." say one of the knight who look at the little who transform into a gigantic fox with six tail.

"Is that really her, ?" Ask the green hair knight as she watch the giant fox who was about to fight the drahon.

"Hehehe, she giving me a goodbye gift huh," say gran as he watch the giant fox conforting the dragon.

'I still need more training if i want to use this form, but i show this stupid dragon what kind of person he mess with,' though stella as she swing her arm and punched the dragon face that was throw back a few meter on the air.

The dragon itself open it's mouth, try to blast stella on her fox form though stella quickly use her hand and close the dragon mouth to stop it's blast that aiming at her.

While doing so, stella herself open her mouth as she gathering magical power through the air creating a small ball that she ate making her body grow bigger as she releasing some smoke from her mouth before she release a powerful blast that destody the dragon upper body.

While stella release her beadt mode and turn herself back, the other was still speecless at the sight before them, clearly the fight was on the whole other level, and they were grateful that they manage to survive withiut taking any part of the battle.

'Such power in such young age,' though the green hair knight who though was interrupt by gran laugh.

"Gran, are you," say the green hair man who had a bitter smile on his face.

"Look like the future is bright huh dylan," say gran as he smile with no sign of regret or anything, it was a sincere smile as if he has no regret anymore, he can now rest in peace and leave everything on the next generation.

"Yeah, you can rest now, thank you for your hard work until now," say dylan who look away though their is a few drop of water that drop from his face, who he don't want to show it to his friend.

"You're welcome," say gran as he close his eye and exhale his last breath.

Gran funeral was held along with the other knight who died on the spot, a lot of people coming to this funeral as to giver their good bye to the spear lancer of the kingdom, the royal family, the arbento family, the vincent family, along with the other nobles as well attend the funeral, not to mention the remaining 3 lancer who show up and express their sadness over the death of their comrade.

The survivor of the mission give their report to the king though they decide not to exactly give the king the currect information about what actually happen and tell him that the dragon was slain by the lady fox that was passing by.

At that time a lot people give their sympaty to the 3 survivor who somehow manage to survive the dragon rampage, they have gone through a lot of hardship not mention the guilt of being alive while the other are dead will forever remain on their heart.

A few days later, stella was ready to go on a mission once against, everyone in the mansion though that the failure she got from the mission will upset her, but stella remain strong as her will to become even stronger was light up even more, as she remember what the old lancer say to her, making it to motivate her to become even stronger to protect those who dhe care about.

"No, i won't allowed you to take any mission, and if i see got a repot that you got a mission from the guild that you take a mission then i will have to punish you, along with your sister," threat the duke to stella who only nod, before she exit the office as she got a day off.

As a result stella decide to go for a walk, as she doesn't has anything to do, since she though she could do some mission.

'I know they were worried about, but i'm fine,' though stella as she remember how worried the look on the face before she exit his office along with other in mansion, at that time stella couldn't help but put up a smile, 'well, sometime like this, doesn't really feel bad though,' as she walk around the kingdom.

After a long day in the citiy stella comeback to the mansion though she feel something weird as she doesn't see a single person on the way she across the field, as she walk toward the estste she notice that light on the house was turn off.

'What happened,' as she open the door of the estate, she was meet by suprise as suddenly the light was turn on and everyone cheer for her.

"Suprise," shout them to stella who was stunned and suprised.

"W-what is this, ?" Ask stella who was still recovering from her shock as she wss held by sophia and eve.

"A party for you, dummy," say sophia to stella who was still confuse as ehy they held a party for her.

"Sis, after what happened in your last mission, you seems kinda down, so me and miss sophia try to make a plan to make you happy again," eve explain to stella as she look at her little sister with fondness on her eye.

"Thank you, it mean a lot for me," say stella as she hug her little sister as well as other for giving a cheer up party for her.

It maybe true that stella was feeling down, since if she had use her full power from the start then they would be still alive, all this time stella always keep everything to herself to the point she get use to it.

All of it because she doesn't want to show her weak side to her enemy, but this people, can she really let her guard down toward them.

'What a stupid question,' deep in her hearth stella already knew the answer as she start crying so hard and was comfort by everying saying that she has done well, and thank her for endure it that long.

In the morning stella wake up with eve beside her, as she slowly rise from her bed, she look at the table and found a gift that was directed to her.

'Hope you fine, sorry that i wasn't be able to be with you in your hard time,' love lucy who make stella feel better as she kiss the letter from the gift she got from her fiancee.

'Alright, time to move out,' though stella as she look over the sky from her the window in her room as she put up a smile on her face.

"You got a request from the archduke vincent," say the duke stella.

"What is the request, ?" Ask stella.

"They don't tell me in detail, but they request me to tell you this a few days ago," the duke explain.

"But why did you just tell me now, ?" Ask stella.

"Because you need a rest,," say the duke with serious expression to stella.

"Stella, you have gone through an experience of life and death, not just once but a few time already, that make you use to that kind of situation, but don't ever think to try to hold of it alone it will break you one day, when you were a child, you remember the reason why i hired you because of my daughter, do you remember that, ?" Ask the duke to stella who nod, who can she ever forget the event that her whole life, she will forever remember that day.

"Well actually there is 1 more reason why i hired you that day," say the duke to stella who was interest sbout the duke reason about hiring her to become her daughter bodyguard.

"Is because of your will to never give up," duke say to stella.

"When i first meet you i can see that kind of feeling, so i try to give you some test by making instructur ergi and the other teacher to train you, at first you were struggle a lot but you never give up as you continue to try and try even when people discourage you that it was pointless that you were too young but you never give up and use that failure to improve yourself, and exceed everyone expectation including mine as well," say duke to stella.

"But having great power it also mean having a great responsibilities, stella if one day you overcome a wall that you can't break alone,"

"I will ask you guys for some help, don't worry sir, i understand that i can't do everything alone," say stella who interrupt the duke word as she know what the duke is about to say.

The duke itself was satisfied with stella answer as he allowed the girl to exit his office while he look at his paperwork with a satisfied look on his face.
