A MOMENT WITH MY MOM

Kevin

I woke up feeling ecstatic, I laid on my bed, looking up at the ceiling when visions of last night with Anastasia flooded my mind. My favorite part about last night was the feel and taste of her lips on mine. I still couldn't believe it, going out on a date with my high school crush never dreamed that I would see that day. I stood up from my bed and walked out of my room, before I'd end up spending my whole day reminiscing about last night. I walked towards my mom's room and it was empty, wondering where she had gone. I walked towards the one place I knew she'd be in today from her room, which was her kitchen. I met her in the kitchen preparing breakfast. I was welcomed with the aroma of scrambled eggs, bacon and freshly brewed coffee. I just knew it, if my mom wasn't in her room then she would definitely be in the kitchen cooking up something.

"Hey mom, aren't you supposed to be resting?" I asked her, leaning on the countertop looking at her.
