Dream 3

Vampiric savior of the heavenly temple

A small town owned by a small lord was not in the best state. The streets were dusty and broken, the homes and buildings were worn and ragged from poor conditions, the shops barely had much to offer, and the only chapel of the land was abandoned.

However, inside the old chapel were the homeless and orphans come for shelter. The townspeople would wonder what happens to those that lose their homes and the chapel is where they reside. Why?

Veomac: "Because this selfless idiot that I am refuses to let them stay that way."

Mortimer: "Hey, come on, Mac. you know you love us. Don't put yourself down like that. You saved so many lives here and they repay you in kind by keeping the place looking clean. Your care for them lets them care for you. You may not be normal but you're more human than the lord of this land. And everyone here is grateful to you for it."

Veomac: "Shut up, nick. It just ended up like this. And you're gonna get hung for that. You're the lords personal guard, for fucks sake."

Mortimer: "*laughs* yeah well, I can't really lie to you since you can tell if I was or not, and you don't like anything being sugar coated either so I might as well be blunt."

Veomac: "Doesn't change that you're butterballing."

Mortimer: "*laughing* butterballing he said. Man, you are old."

Veomac: "Then show some respect for your elders, dammit."

Mortimer: "*Laughing*!"

Bonique: "Daddy!"

Mortimer: "Hey, sweetie. How's everything going?"

Bonique: "Tony is looking for you. He said the town lord wanted to ask you something."

Mortimer: "The lord?"

Veomac: "Probably wants to remove another household. I'll get another room ready."

Mortimer: "Yeah. thank you again, sir Lorinheim."

Veomac: "Hurry it up before you get chewed out. I'll keep watch over Bonbon."

Bonique: "Bonique!"

Veomac: "Uh-huh. Sure."

Mortimer: "See you soon, sweety."

Bonique: "Bye bye, daddy. Don't work too hard."

Mortimer: "Yes, baby girl."

Mortimer kissed his daughter on the cheek while Veomac held her in his arms. Mortimer leaves the chapel and hurries down the road. Veomac carries Bonique through the chapel and lets her play with the kids. Time went by as the chapel stayed lively and peaceful until night fell. Bonique had fallen asleep on Veomac's lap as he petted her hair. The chapel was now still with snores from the people sleeping in the small rooms that were made along the walls of the first and second floor of the chapel. Late in the night, Veomac starts to smell fire and goes to the temple to find it set ablaze. The people inside were screaming and begging to be saved. Veomac rushes in to help the people get out but doesn't find Mortimer or his daughter, Bonique until he hears coughing in the rubble. He follows the sound and moves the destruction around him to find Bonique dying underneath. He takes her body and rushes out when he notices a figure in armor rushing through the woods heading for the castle.

He chooses to take chase later now that he has an idea who did this, and proceeds to heal Bonique with his blood before taking her to his own manor with the rest of the survivors.
