Chapter Six: Advanced Conspiracy

After the results of the graduation exams were announced, there was nothing much left to do at the school for Kenji and the others. So, they all went their separate ways.

However, before Kenji returned home, he had a duty to escort Guy, whom he had inadvertently injured during their match, back to his place. Although Guy repeatedly reassured him that it was okay, Kenji still felt he needed to apologize.

Kenji's home was on the outskirts of Konoha, just one district away from the Uchiha Compound. To be honest, being neighbors with a bunch of Sharingan wielders made Kenji somewhat cautious. After all, he had his fair share of secrets.

During the day, you didn't feel the sense of war in Konoha. However, as night fell, you could feel the tension in the air. The streets were almost empty, and squads of ninja were patrolling both openly and covertly, following the orders to defend the village.

Kenji looked up and saw only three faces on the Hokage Monument: the First, Second, and Third Hokage. The Third Hokage could be considered the era of prosperity. As for the Fourth Hokage, he was currently active on various battlefields under the title of the "Yellow Flash," deterring both enemies and allies.

Soon, Kenji arrived back home. This place used to belong to the Nakamura family, but now only Kenji lived there. He had grown accustomed to it.

He had no concept of what Naruto's apartment was like. If he were to compare, he would realize that his living conditions were much better than Naruto's.

Having lost his parents, Kenji was raised by Konoha's childcare institution until the age of five. After turning five, the village provided partial financial support for orphans like him, and they had to learn to fend for themselves. At the age of seven, Kenji entered the ninja academy.

Now, at the age of ten, three years had passed. In his original world, having a ten-year-old on the battlefield would be a joke, but in the world of Naruto, it was the reality. Underage children active on battlefields were numerous, even in the relatively more humane Konoha. Despite graduating, these students were often sent to the frontlines. Although Konoha was a powerful village, it was frequently attacked from all sides, leading to chronic shortages of manpower during wars.

As Kenji pondered the current situation of the war, he pushed open the door to his home. He started preparing dinner. At this moment, he had no idea that a conspiracy against him was brewing within the higher-ups of Konoha.

In the past, there was a notorious problem child in Konoha, someone known for their love of gambling. Despite her terrible luck, she was virtually untouchable due to her special status. This person was Tsunade, the granddaughter of the First Hokage, the disciple of the Third Hokage, a member of the Senju clan, and Konoha's Princess.

Tsunade eventually grew up and, although still a gambler, became more responsible. The village returned to relative peace. But of course, not for long.

Another notorious problem child, arrived in Konoha. While not as extravagantly connected as Tsunade, she was equally feared and destructive. Her name was Kushina Uzumaki, the Nine-Tails Jinchuriki, also known as the "Red Hot-Blooded Habanero." During this time, she was at the peak of her chaotic behavior. She seem to ware an imaginary sign on her head that read "Don't Mess with Me" wherever she went. Even the Uchiha's didn't dare to cross her.

She was, after all, the Jinchuriki of the Nine-Tails, and her boyfriend is Minato Namikaze, who is also known as the "Yellow Flash". He could handle group fights with ease. Her boyfriend's mentor was one of the Legendary Sannin, Jiraiya. She also had a good relationship with Tsunade. In theory, she could even challenge the Hokage's authority.

During wartime, despite her status, Kushina remained restless, frequently causing problems in the village. Some of these disturbances were minor, while others gave the Hokage a headache. As the Nine-Tails Jinchuriki, she was required to stay within the village and not venture beyond Konoha's barriers. However, her mild hyperactivity hadn't been cured yet, so she couldn't stay put. This manifested as her repeated requests to join the frontlines. Of course, this wasn't allowed. She had even attempted to sneak out, but luckily, the Hokage always caught her.

If she were to be on the frontlines, Minato, one of the Sannin, or Sarutobi himself, would have to be solely responsible for her. The Hokage had tried reasoning with Kushina countless times, explaining the situation. However, Kushina remained her fiery self. Therefore, he started giving her tasks to keep her busy.

Of course, that wasn't enough. She wanted to mentor a student.

Finding such a student was the Hokage's responsibility.

Minato Namikaze's student caught Kushina's attention. Despite his young age, he possessed extraordinary strength and incredible talent. This made Kushina somewhat envious since she always had a soft spot for being someone's mentor. Due to her rivalry with Minato, she didn't want her student to be outdone by his student. So, this student's talent had to be high, at the very least, on par with Kakashi.

This situation gave the Hokage a headache. After all, geniuses like Kakashi weren't that easy to find.

During this time, he had been scouting potential candidates in the ninja academy. Gradually, he discovered a very interesting student.

Care to guess who this intelligent, talented, and powerful person, with a crucial mission to play with Kushina, might be?

Well, this choice isn't so easy to guess.

The protagonist, Kenji, still had no idea that his fate had already been arranged. He was busy planning what to take to the battlefield and how to kill enemies and protect himself.

He would never imagine that while his fellow graduates were headed to the battlefield, he, who considered himself skilled in practical combat, wouldn't even have the chance to step onto the battlefield. He would have to stay put in Konoha.
