Chapter 14 - Kotori Past

Himeragi Yukina, was taken aback when she saw Index's presence in Yuragi Sou. All she knew, Index should be with Stiyl right now. But why was she suddenly appear near the residence of the target she had to keep an eye on.

"Isn't that nun, supposed to be with the tall man who always smoking?" Yukina said who was looking at Index using the binoculars. "But how can be right now at this time, she was appear near the target that I was watching? What exactly was she doing in that place?"

Yukina knew that keeping an eye on Index was not her duty, but because she had previously worked with Kaori who didn't look down on her even though Yukina was younger than her. So at least Yukina wanted to tell Kaori where Index was right now. Because Yukina could guess that right now Kaori must be looking for Index's whereabouts.

That's why Yukina currently took out her smartphone, and tried to contact Kaori. Just like Kaori, Yukina is not to good in using electronic devices. But at least Yukina could still use the calling and e-mail functions of the smartphones she had.

"How could you let Index escape!" Kaori shouted. "What exactly are you doing Stiyl, that made you let your guard down and lost Index like that!"

"Aaah you're so noisy you bitch!" Stiyl said while covering his ears, he is too lazy to hear Kaori's screams. "So what should we do with the little nun?" Asked Misaki who was currently sitting next to Touma in the living room. "Are we going to kick her out after she wakes up, or find out why there are foreign nuns in this Academy City. Because from what I know the clothes of the catholic church nuns in Academy City aren't like that."

"Let's just let hed sleep first," Replied Touma with a sigh. "Because somehow I feel that if the nun wakes up, she will only bring trouble."

"Your instinct of sensing trouble is usually right Touma-san," Misaki said. "Because you, yourself are a magnet in attracting strange things."

"Well, I'm already used to all the weird things and troubles that come to me, so I guess it wouldn't be strange that the nun would only bring me a trouble," Touma said with a slightly worried look on his face. "But at least, while in the Yuragi Sou area including the hill. "So chief you are an adopted daughter of the Kamijou family, that's why you call Touma-san ,Onii-chan?" Asked Kuroko.

"Yup, that's how it is," Answered Kotori with the lollipop in her mouth. "My current surname is Kamijou, and my former surname is Itsuka. Which I still use today when I served in Judgment."

"Kotori-san why are you still using your old surname when you served in Judgment?" Asked Mikoto.

"I don't know," Answered Kotori with a slightly sad look on her face. "Maybe because the name Itsuka reminds me of the happy times I had with my parents before they both dumped me into Academy City. That's why I still use that name."

"Ko-Kotori-chan you were banished to Academy City by your parents!?" Shouted Saten with a shocked look on her face. "How could they can be so cruel to you!"

"What Saten-san said was right, what kind of parent who would throw their child away like that!" Uiharu said. "Those two don't deserve to be your parents Kotori-san!"

"A parent who is afraid of a daughter who burned down half of the house at the age of five," Kotori said with a face that looked even sadder than before. "As a Gemstone Pryokinesis who couldn't control my powers when I was a child, both my parents thought of me as a monster. And because they couldn't bear to kill me, they banished me to Academy Town. Lckily I was adopted by the Kamijou family, so that I can regain the happiness that has been missing in my life for a long time."

Mikoto, Saten, Kuroko and Uiharu didn't know how to react after hearing Kotori's confession. Which was very painful even for the four girls.

Her smartphone is ringing and after seeing on the screen who is the caller, she litte bit surprised when she saw that Yukina whobis callling her, Kaori then immediately received the call from Yukina. Because for some reason Kaori felt that Yukina was calling her for something important and she had to answer Yukina's call.

"Hello Himeragi," Kaori said. "Why are you suddenly calling me like this? The collaboration between Necessarius and the Lion King organization is already over, isn't it? Was there something important to the point that you calling me?"
