Chapter 2: Target confirmed

"So, you're pondering resigning from your current position as a servant?" inquired Hideo-sama, the elderly figure responsible for the administration of the main family.

"Yes, Hideo-sama. I believe it's time for me to reorganize my future. Being a ninja may not be the most suitable path for me," Hiroshi confirmed with a respectful tone.

After a dramatic event last night when he even intended to run away from Konoha village, at the last moment, he managed to keep his cool, repeatedly assuring himself, 'There is still a year left. The war has just officially ended, and Namikaze Minato hasn't been elected as the new Hokage yet. I have time to maneuver.' As he contemplated the consequences of leaving prematurely, he reminded himself to stay composed, recognizing that an abrupt departure might raise suspicions within the village."Calm down motherfucker." 

Following that, he formulated a plan in which the objective was to "Become Batman". He is already parentless in his description, now what he needs to do is to have the "rich" superpower. 

The initial step is to formally resign from his position as a servant, thereby signaling his intention to live as a commoner. As an orphan and a member of the branch family, his role as a servant, serving one of the elders of the main family, has been his means of sustenance. Only by severing this tie can he pave the way for the envisioned path of personal development.

Regardless of the plan, as a modern man from the 21st century, he has no desire to serve an old man for meager pay. Even if that same old man holds control over his life and death.

Feeling the confidence in Hiroshi's expression, Hideo Hyuga felt satisfied. He and Hiroshi's parents were acquaintances, so he always concerned himself with the emotional pressure that Hiroshi bore and worried that the young kid might not be able to bear it. Seeing him emerge from the dispirited state brought Hideo great satisfaction.

"Very well then. First, I'll have to remind you that you will have to pay for the house's tax to the clan yourself, and since today is the 14th, your allowance for this month will be gone. Are you fine with that?" said Hideo as he took out a paper and a pen from under the table, handing them to Hiroshi, then with a sense of understanding and encouragement. After completing the formalities at Hideo's home, Hiroshi made his way back, a mix of relief and anticipation coloring his thoughts. "That was easier than I thought," he murmured to himself.

As he walked through the familiar streets of the Hyuga compound, his mind shifted to the next crucial step in his plan. "Next, I need to determine which novel I should write." 

That's right. In his plan, the first step was to gather enough money for a startup or investments. Writing novels stands out as one of the most efficient ways for him to earn money, considering his age and capital. Besides, with an entire world as a backup, there's no need to worry about not achieving success or running out of ideas.

"Let's try something light first, while some of Murak*mi's books may be able to lift off the throne of Jiraiya's Icha Icha easily, but I'm 12 after all, so let's write a bright and beautiful love story, I don't want people thinking I'm some kind of weirdo," he mused while swinging open the door to his house after getting back. "How about 'Your Name'? The girls in the village will eat that up."

The technological tree of this world was seriously crooked. He had seen radio headsets before, which means that they could develop telephones, but for some reason, they didn't. And there was electricity everywhere, there was even a refrigerator in his house, but the battle was still close combat. Sure, Ninja have chakra in their body which can be much stronger with a sword than a gun, but what about common people? Remember the majority of this world is not Ninja but common people. Why did they have a lot of modern machines like printers, fridges, cooking machines,... but still use horses? still use candles? 

But as he recognized this fact, the first thought that came to mind was "I can make religious... cough ... money out of this!"

He can invest in building a mobile phone, which can make a lot of summonings go bankrupt. Things like car company, and infrastructure company alone can make him one of the richest people in the world if cards are done right. 

Hiroshi faced two major challenges on his path to success. Firstly, he needed significant startup capital and had to build connections with influential ninjas and individuals. Business development posed risks, especially in this dangerous world, so he had to progress cautiously while keeping a low profile.

The second challenge was the caged bird seal on his forehead, making him vulnerable. Unlocking the seal without a System was impossible. The only solution aside from destroying it-which is an Unfeasible task- was to marry into the main family. To achieve this, Hiroshi had to navigate through the tricky task of flirting with girls. 

Yes, in order to be a rich man, he has to flirt with girls.

As Hiroshi shut the door behind him, a faint creak echoed through the silent house. suddenly, a heart-wrenching cry pierced the stillness.

The source of the sorrowful plea revealed itself—a girl, seemingly his age, with long black hair and the typical Byakugan in her eye sockets, sobbing uncontrollably as she stood still, her eyes fixated on the rope dangling from the ceiling. It was the same rope the previous occupant of the body had used to end their life just the night before.

Startled by the sound, the girl turned towards Hiroshi, her tear-streaked face illuminated by a mix of desperation and remorse. Without hesitation, she rushed towards him, wrapping her arms around him tightly. "Don't think of it, Hiroshi. Even if you don't become a ninja, it's okay. I didn't mean what I said yesterday. I'm truly sorry; I didn't mean it. I'm so, so sorry..." Her words were punctuated by sobs.

Hiroshi, despite being enveloped in an unexpected embrace from the girl, bore a vacant expression. His gaze seemed distant, not because of the embrace, which he found repulsive, but because his mind was preoccupied with a different matter. 'Thank God,' he muttered to himself as he looked at her forehead without the caged bird. His thoughts consumed by the relief that he didn't have to navigate the difficulties of flirting with random girls from the start, as he has absolutely zero experience.
