Athena Chapter 8.

I had no idea what to make of the situation. Could Katsuki come with me, he must of wanted to escape this life as well. I wanted to ask him but he just sat quietly next to me as my brother drove us, he had been driving for what seemed like and age before we stopped at a tall building in the middle of nowhere. He got out of the car and so did me and Katsuki. We headed to the building's only door and my brother knocked 3 times then waited a few seconds before knocking 3 times again. The door opened to a small blonde haired girl wearing a school uniform but I didn't recognise the emblem. We went in and she shut the door behind us before asking us to follow her to Tomura. Tomura was a tall man with grey hair, he stood with a hunched back and looked as if he needed some lip balm.

"Is this her" Tomura said. My brother just nodded in response. "Do you have the money?" Tomura asked again and my brother just handed over an envelope with money in. How much had all this cost him, I tired to ask but he never told me and just said he would do anything for me to be happy. I turned to him and just hugged my brother, I loved him and wanted him to know. He just hugged me back and whispered "Be happy in a world that will accept you for you" I left the embrace of my brother and looked at Katsuki. "Come with me" I said to him "I wish I could but I can't" he said looking down and not meeting my gaze." Why, please come with me, you're the only person I can trust, I.. I need you Katsuki" I said emotionally and with tears starting to fall. "This is my world now, I can't travel again" He said through gritted teeth and a could see a small tear falling from his eyes. Had he done this before? If he had, then why did it take so long to find them? What happened to him in the past? All these thought rushed my head and I wanted to ask him but a sudden large bang in the distance caught us and we all looked at the corridor we had walked down.

"Go! Toga" Tomura said in a commanding tone, she ran down the corridor after grabbing a shot gun from a trunk in the room.

"We need to do this now before we are caught. Open the portal Kurogiri" Tomura said and I knew then I was going. I wanted to ask him those questions, I wanted answers and I wanted him.

I pleaded with Katsuki who just grabbed me by my hand and pulled me close to him, tears in his eyes and he laid his final kiss on me, it was a deep and passionate kiss and I didn't want it to end. A sharp pain was suddenly on my hand and I could feel the familiar warmth of my blood flowing. Katsuki had sliced it during our kiss and now took my hand to the open portal, forcing my hand closer to the black swirling oval in front of me.

"No! Katsuki please! It's too soon" I screamed and he just held my hand to the portal and my blood meet with it, the portal changed and I could see the me from the other world ready to come through. I felt a push and began to fall forward towards the portal and heard Katsuki say for the first and last time " I love you, be free". I tried to turn to grab him but he had moved, tears running down his and my brothers face. "I love you too!" I screamed at him before a new set of hands were on my pulling my body that had gone through. I looked back to see the me of this world walk out and then the portal closed. I would never see him again, tears streaming down my face, I curled up into a tight ball on the floor before the sudden pain hit me. My body had been used to pain and could take a fair amount but this was beyond belief, it felt like I was being torn in two by thousands of razers, I managed to let out a scream before I fell unconscious on the floor of this new world, with new people.

I woke to find myself lying in a bed in what looked like a cell. My head and body was hurting still but was better than before. How long had I been out for? but before I could truly get my bearings a small blonde girl, with a school uniform approached me, she had a sick smile on her face and as my vision cleared I noticed that she was Toga.

"Toga" I said in a dry and breaking voice. She just looked at me, now unhappy that I had called her by her first name. She stabbed me in the arm and took some blood before I could react and then was smiling again. She pulled me up and told me the boss wanted to see me. I assumed she meant Tomura an followed her out of the cell, down a corridor and into what looked like a bar. It was familiar to The Hero's club of my world but there were no booths or poles, it was just a normal bar with a few people sitting there. A man wearing all black, with grey hair and hunched back looked up from the bar and turned to me and Toga who had entered the room.

"Bout time you woke up!" He said as he started to scratch his neck in a slightly aggravated way. "It's been days, we need to see what you can do now!" he continued, he looked at Kurogiri and told him to take us to the training room. A black swirl was around me and then I was standing in a room with Tomura, Kurogiri and Toga.

"You can change in to animals, do it" Tomura said and then showed me his power. He could decay anything that he touches and I knew he meant to us it on me if I didn't comply. I tried to change in to a dog but nothing happened, I was panicking. I then tried a bird, falcon anything but the only thing I could now change into was a cat. A small cat, not even my tiger form was coming. Why was this happening, was I too afraid to change or was it because I travel through the portal. Had my power changed?

"Why isn't it working right?" I asked, I was naked and sat on the training room floor. Tomura was not impressed and had destroyed a nearby wooden pole.

"Sometimes quirks are changed and manifested different when coming from another world. This is not the first time this has happened " Kurogiri said in a smooth voice.

"She is useless like this. Leave her here and train her Toga" Tomura said, now scratching his neck raw.

"Ok Boss!" she said in a cheerful voice as Tomura walked through another portal. "This is going to be fun!" she said looking at me. It wasn't. I could only change into my cat form and each transformation left me more and more exhausted. She had been beating me and cutting me every time I couldn't change. She enjoyed hurting and got a sick pleasure from cutting me, she had a blood obsession and wanted as much as she could get. It had been days, even weeks that she had been doing this to me, I lost track of the days and the time in the end and just wanted to escape. How was this better then where I had come from, in fact it was worse as I had no Katsuki with me. How I missed him and wanted to see him, wish I had longer with him before I left. Did I even get a choice, him and my brother had just made the decision for me. I felt slightly angry and sad at the same time and my hands started to burn, getting hotter and hotter, I looked at them glowing before a flame shot out and caught Toga and myself off guard. My hands were hurting and covered in blisters from the flames, I quickly transformed into my cat form and then back again. It had become a lot easier and less exhausting to change and I could do it without hardly thinking, just wish I didn't always end up naked afterwards. My hands had small scars on them from the blister but I knew they would fade over time like the scars I had on my palms before had. Toga was very interested in what had just happened and was standing next to me, looking at my hands and then my face.

"How'd you do that?" she said in a surprised but cheeky voice she had.

"I'm not sure, I just knew I felt angry" I said, knowing that there was no point in hiding anything from her, well that was unless I wanted to be cut or stabbed and I was too shocked to deal with that right now.

A sick smile crept over Toga's face and she pulled one of her vials that she keeps blood in out."Let's see if this get you angry or not!" she said but before she could drink the blood Tomura was in the room and looking at her.

"Stop! Don't bother. Time to go" he said and she looked so disappointed but updated him on my training progress. Every few days Tomura would come for an update about my training and development and take me back to the Leagues HQ to rest in my cell. Even though the cell was dark and a bit cold, it had a bed and a pillow, more then I had at the training room where I had to sleep on the floor and Toga had nice fluffy futon. Back in my cell I could relax but this time I waited to hear their footsteps fade before I tried to get my flames working again, did I need to be angry to control them or was it just a coincidence. Lucky it had been and I could get flames of varying strength to come from either hand or both, I had noticed however that each time I used them a small red tattoo like mark appeared and glowed on my arm before fading away leaving a small version of itself. This had to be from coming through the portal and I wondered what else I could do, to my surprise I could also produce water, wind and some plant matter but thought no more on it as I was too tired and just curled up on the bed and slept.

I was woken up by banging on the cell doors and is was Toga once again.

"Last day of training rookie!" she said smiling and back to the training room we went but this time Tomura stayed and watched what I could do. I felt a bit relived at the sound of today being the last but also worried what they had planned for me. Toga attacked me and I fought with everything I had learnt from her and Katsuki to avoid being hit, I was quite strong and flexible in my human form but was faster and more agile as a cat. I tried to see if I could produce any element from last night as a cat but nothing happened, it must only work in my human form which I quickly transformed into and tried. Each element I flung at her left a different glowing colour on my arm like last night before fading away, water left blue, wind left white, plant matter left green and a combined left a picture but I was too busy to notice as a knife came flying past my face and was caught with my tail. Wait! What, I had a tail now, when did that happen? I looked at her shocked and they were looking at me a bit bemused as well.

"Cute tail and fluffy ears" Toga said as she walked over to touch them.

"Ears too!" I shrieked and put my hands up my head to feel that my human ears were gone, a twitching movement on the top of head drew my hands to it and yep, they were fluffy and cat like. Kurogiri was laughing at the way me and Toga were playing with and acting at my new body development but was cut off when he was given a dirty and unpleased look from Tomura.

"Toga! Take some blood. We need to know her gender?" he said and I was a bit confused at his statement, I was a female could he not see that from my naked body but I looked down anyway to double check, yep I was still female, my breasts were still there on full display to the room. I started to get dressed as Toga decided that whilst I was bending down to get my shirt that it was a good time to stab me in the leg for some blood.

It may sound strange but me, Toga and Kurogiri had formed a strange relationship, it wasn't like we hated each other or in fact liked each other but we could all get along, we could have a joke and a laugh when Tomura wasn't around, we could fight like our lives depended on it with each other and we could talk to each other without it being awkward. I think that what made to next part of Tomuras plan work. I never did get the answer about what he meant with my gender but he seemed very pleased with the results and I was allowed to walk around HQ now as part of the league but only if I wore what looked like a large leather dog collar on my neck.
