I had walked past the cliffs of Quince 20 minutes ago, I walked alongside Fir River for 3-4 hours, until I saw the forest that leads up into the Hateno Fort, and I almost couldn't contain my excitement. The water alongside the river was freezing over, I looked over, shocked, by the new found trigger. I experimented on the Cryonis rune and trigger for the rest of the walk to the forest, after which I prepared myself for any sudden movements.
I came across a blue Bokoblin while walking through the forest, he noticed me, but not before I pulled out my arrows and sword. I positioned my arrows to point towards the little bugger, it threw a rock towards me to distract me, I threw an arrow towards the rock, causing the rock to be sent flying away. I take back my arrow, and prepare myself to diagonally slash, the Bokoblin was faster, pre-emptively defending, parrying and trying to get a slash in. I propel an arrow to try to skewer the Bokoblin, the Bokoblin dodges the arrow, I let the hunger take over, and I started to viciously slash towards the Bokoblin. I chained all my attacks towards the Bokoblin, the Bokoblin had started to break under the sudden change of my fighting style. The sword made a solid thunk, and then a squelch as the Bokoblin started to lean over, the image of my sword stabbed deep into the Bokoblin's throat was in my mind, saved permanently.
There was an odd feeling of cruel satisfaction as I saw the monster slowly crawling up into a ball and bleeding to death, the blood started to ooze out of the Bokoblin's body, and started to congeal into a ball. The job was done, and the hunger was starting to fade away, I take my lantern and stare deep into the blue flame, letting it pay as a distraction from the new feeling I'd encountered. I collected all of the materials, pick up the shield the Bokoblin had used, thankfully it was metal, so I could use it with my Magnesis, I walked around the area to check for any useful materials and then walked towards the Hateno Fort. While looking through the forest I had come across the house of Dr Calip, a scientist of the ancient shrines that dot the land.
I took a little look around the area, found some courser bee honey, a Hylian Shroom, 10 apples, I had also came across a Woodland Boar. I started to walk through the Hateno Fort, the fort was much bigger in this world than in the game, mainly because the landscape of the area was much larger than in the game. Thus making there be a larger clearing right in front of the forest much larger, therefore making the fort longer, and that caused the fort to be even thicker, making it a huge functioning Fort. I walked through the gate, then proceeded to look around to see if there are any functioning Guardians around, I spotted 4 a ways off the main pathway.
I started to see if there were any guardians that are scavengeable, I spot two right out along the entrance. I walked up to them, and took out my sword, levered off the top layer, and looked around for anything that seems like an ancient screw, gear or springs. I found 1 useable ancient gear and 2 ancient screws, while looking through the inside the first the guardian. I ran about the wrecked guardians collecting pieces, eventually collecting all the guardian materials on my list. The list said: 10 chunks of flint (2 acquired), 10 amber, 15 chunks of luminous stone (3 acquired), 1 diamond, 4 courser bee honey (completed), 10 Sunshrooms, 5 ancient screws (completed), 2 ancient gears (completed), 3 ancient springs (completed), ten piles of wood (completed). I smiled to myself with a feeling of accomplishment washing over me.
"Almost done with the items on the list, now I just need some luminous stone, amber, a diamond and some sunshrooms." I said to myself with happiness apparent on my face. "Okay then, I'll try my luck with some merchant's to see if they have diamonds, if not, well I'm going to have to go buy it directly from a mine. I also have to go mining anyway, and I also need to find some Sunshrooms."
I started walking off towards the Dueling Peaks Stable, I had to avoid the minor paths to get there, because of the pesky Guardians. I made it half the way there before I came across a Chuchu, it, yet again, came jumping out of a puddle, what's with these gelatinous blobs and puddles. I pulled out a hammer and sent two overhead strikes to its body, sending it backwards a few meter, it reacted with a headlong charge in my direction, and I dodged out of the way of its charge, hit it two more hits to the side. I take a few seconds to take a deep breath, but I didn't notice how the Chuchu jumped straight into my side, knocking my hammer out of my hand, I took a few deep breaths in pain, I tried to get up, but the Chuchu jumped at me again, knocking over again. I filled myself with excitement, causing the nearby water to freeze over, and the Chuchu to slow down after becoming more solid. I call my hammer over to me and slam the hammer down on the semi-frozen Chuchu, causing it to break apart. I looked down at its body, it was frozen, after a thought I chose to not cut with a knife, I picked up a stick and parted the jelly slowly and inefficiently.
I collected the white Chuchu jelly, slowly so it didn't explode in my face. After I had completed that I finished my trip to the stable hired a bed, and slept.
