Chapter 10

Krystian drove up to Cafes in the heart of London in his newly acquired Forem Mustang. Old School car quite strongly attracted the eyes of the surrounding people who looked at this icon of the early motorization.

The car pulled up to the only available parking space, which happened to be in front of its destination. And he slowly parked between two other cars. The cafe looked quite standard, a few green and white tables outside and large glass windows through which you could see the bar, tables located at the aforementioned glass surfaces. And the colors of the cafe's decor oscillated between green and white. Which strongly resembled the colors of a certain "House" in Hogwarts. And the meeting of the Head of the said House in such a decorated cafe amused Krystian, who was now getting out of the car.

In the aforementioned cafe, Krystian noticed a man who stood out among the customers. Said person was sitting with a sullen expression, however, when he got out of the car. The person in question didn't take her eyes off him even for a second. He was dressed in a black long coat, and his greasy hair really caught his eye, giving the impression that it had never known clean water. Krystian could see, among the greasy hair, bits of various ingredients, like an oddly shaped leaf, cobwebs, and a few things like that.

Krystian, on the other hand, looked quite the opposite, he was wearing a rather peculiar outfit by the standards of the time. But to an ordinary Londoner of the day, his clothes looked like a quaint, expensive, custom-made suit. And judging from the fact that the women sitting outside the cafe were now eating him with their eyes.

(Krystian)-,,"So it's true. No matter how ugly you are when you step out of a brand new Bugatti...I mean Ford Mustang...Ahh...".

Krystian sending a disgusted look at the woman looking at him. He entered the coffee shop and the doorbell rang.

Severus kept giving him a searching look and Krystian was laughing internally. Thinking about his plan to win the favor of a sullen man.

Krystian sat across from the Potions Professor, but did not meet his eyes. Remembering a key feature of the art of the mind called legimination. He sat back and looked at the red-haired young woman wearing a green and white apron that reminded him a bit of the classic nurse's or highway bar manager outfit in old movies.

And, looking briefly at the woman in question, he said with a self-satisfied conceited smile.

(Corvus)- Hot chocolate please.

Krystian didn't notice the change in Snape's facial expression, but he guessed that he must have been really tense at this point. Because his left hand discreetly went to his left pocket, where Krystian sensed an additional source of magic, which was probably his wand.

(Severus)-Why?

Only that word left the mouth of the sullen man who was constantly searching for something in his conversation partner. Krystian felt at this point as if Severus was ready for the fact that he was about to turn into an elf or a Smurf... At the thought of the latter, Krystian smiled murderously. By which Severus' face showed for the first time a change which was a twitch, stopped at the last moment. By returning Krysitan to a composed posture and saying in a calm tone.

(Corvus)-I got.... an assignment. hehe...

(Severus)- A assignment?

As Severus said this, a red-haired woman came to the table and placed a hot chocolate in front of Krystian. In a rather peculiar way. Now her shirt was unbuttoned, giving Krystian a fairly direct view of her perfectly compressed breasts. As she placed the sweet drink in front of his face. The sight lifted his spirits, however, the memory of his own thought he had had before entering the cafe. Again, she drew Krystian's attention to the current situation, although when the red-haired woman walked away and provocatively shook her ass. Krystian took a few seconds to enjoy the view.

(Corvus)-Exactly. Although I have to admit, Professor, it was extremely difficult to prepare to save this woman. She's a real pedantic woman...

Krystian hadn't finished his sentence when Severus' wand suddenly appeared in the Professor's hand and now its tip was pointed straight at his chin. However, Krystian's eyes and not a single muscle in his body showed any fear or perception of Severus as a threat. NO. Krystian's plan was relatively simple, but without faith in his abilities and plan. He couldn't control himself so perfectly.

(Severus)-Who do..... you work for?

Severus said in his characteristic way, pausing briefly in mid-sentence. To give a serious and commanding tone by changing the tone of the voice. What amused Corvus internally more than made him feel any discomfort.

(Corvus)-Would you really like to know?

Krystian said, putting the tip of his index finger to the wand located a few centimeters from his chin, looking at the said object and admiring its appearance, while having a cocky smile.

(Severus)-I would be grateful...

He said as the tip of his wand emitted a barely visible green glow on said tip. From whom Krystian quickly took his finger, but he was fascinated by the new kind of energy he sensed. However, ignoring it, he said.

(Corvus)-It's funny enough, but my client is... you. Severus Snape.

Severus's face showed an angry expression on his face, but Krystian still acted like it was all a funny show.

(Severus)-Don't make fun of me.

He said and the green light on his wand emitted an even brighter light.

(Corvus)-This is not a joke. Severus. Have you heard of a funny device with a rather silly name "Time Turner". A gold medallion with an hourglass inside.

At these words, Severus drew his wand back, sat up straight in his seat again, and after placing his hand on the table with his wand still pointing at him, he looked back at Krystian with his colorless eyes.

(Severus)-Talk...

(Corvus)-First of all, I won't show you the time-turner because you told me not to. I do not know why. But our client, our Mr. As they say. Instead, you had me tell your younger self. So you. Something. Which should make you want to work with me and actually pay me. Because I didn't. But you have to pay me. Don't ask me why I agreed to this, but I didn't have much of a choice.

(Severus)-Indeed, I'm curious about it.

Krystian did not choose this conversation that way. But now that he thought about it. Severus was in a rather strange situation. And yet such was his character and his expectations were not even consistent. So, ignoring this strange confrontation of thoughts, he continued.

(Corvus)-You told me to tell, or rather to ask. Do you remember a secluded cherry tree a short distance from your family home? And do you remember the single cherry blossom where you and a young red-haired girl with green buds learned spell control. And which was, in fact, the first thing you did when you met these girl for the first time.

Severus frowned after hearing these words and slowly hid his wand into his cloak. And he said, this time in a voice quite new to Krystian's ears, the voice contained emotions.

(Severus)-Let's say. That I believe you. How and why did he go back to those times?

(Corvus)-My idea was to go back to your high school days. And kill the Marauders... But what were you telling me about James's puppy. Something about the Prophecy. But after the turn.

(Corvus)-I'm Corvus, the bounty hunter. I will not summarize my story for you, because it is not important. But without telling you too much about the future. I will say it differently. You see, in a certain room, there was Harry, you, the man with no nose, the blond toy, the black-haired woman with psychosis, and her hated cousin. One person died in this room, and when he died. Ghosts appeared in the room. And one ghost of a woman with red hair told you something that made you hire me. Do you know what item allowed these spirits to be summoned and made this woman whisper something in your ear?

(Severus)-Resurrection Stone.

(Corvus)-Yes... that pebble. But how to say it. Because I did my job. He expects you to pay. And that will be knowledge and a favor. That's why I went back to those times. But you would really believe me. Check Lily Potter for potion overdose, specifically those affecting the psyche of the person who drinks them. And meet me in 3 days. Is it possible?

(Severus)-How can you be sure it will come here?

(Corvus)-Because knowing you, you will not underestimate me, knowing that I will not pay the mercenary. All the more so to one who, for unknown reasons, went back in time and additionally you don't know anything about what he is capable of. So it's safer for you and everyone to close this case. Even if your future counterpart theoretically no longer exists. Because the future has been changed.

For the next long moment, Krystian sipped his chocolate, looking calmly at Severus. Who thought, still looking at him searchingly.

(Severus)-I will be.

Severus then got up, leaving a note on the table, and left the cafeteria. However, Krystian noticed that Severus' steps were much smoother and faster. Which caused a slight amusement, especially since during this conversation he sensed spikes in Snape's magical power. Caused by his hidden emotions. And now, as Severus left the Café, his magic screamed, revealing the Potions Master's emotions.
