Control is Everything(2)

In a laboratory at Site-17, Dr. Amelia Buck was examining the blood sample of an Imp that she got from one of the MTFs in Vegas, using a microscope on the blood sample, she learned that it was a lot different than that of a regular human. Sure the blood was red but the blood cells seemed more different and almost alien in nature.

Looking away from the microscope, Amelia starts writing down her findings on a notepad. While she was doing all of this, her Stand was casually standing beside her, observing her actions and was feeling a bit... bored.

"Knock. Knock."

"Training can wait Locked Away. I just have a lot of stuff on my hands these past two weeks after the incident and trying to understand these creatures' biology. Some other day."

"Knock." Locked Away furrowed her brows in sadness.

"Don't give me that sad look. I also want to do some training and understand my powers, but there's a time for everything and time is also something we don't get easily these days."

"Knock. Knock." Locked Away lowered her voice as her expression got worse.

Amelia could only sighed, "I'll see if I can try to get my work done a bit quicker and... perhaps we'll do some training as well."

"Knock?!" Locked Away widened her eyes with an exciting look.

"Yes, we will." She nodded.

"Knock. Knock." Her Stand thanked her.

"You're welcome."

As Amelia continued her work and promised her Stand's request, the two noticed the lab doors open, coming in was Dr. Molly Collingwood who immediately greeted her cheerfully.

"Hi, buck! Whatcha doing?"

"As usual... work." Amelia said indifferently before asking, "Are Rodeo and the rest back?"

"Oh, don't worry your precious adopted son will be back in one piece." Molly said jokingly.

Amelia sighed in annoyance, "For the love of God, Molly. I didn't adopt him-"

"Yet." Molly quickly added in her sentence.

"Like the Foundation will ever allow that."

"True, since they think emotions are a distraction."

"Sometimes they are, but you need them since that's what makes you human. Otherwise your just something else entirely."

"Yeah. Well at least you see him as a son and he's also the many other nice people we have in the foundation along with Iris, Cain, 999 and so on. We need those types of people here more often."

"Yes, but there are a lot of people here who disagree. Seeing them as freaks."

With a complicated expression, Molly began to ask, "...Are the foundation staff still...?"

"Giving me and Green weird looks because we have Stands?" Amelia guessed.

"Yeah..." She nods, feeling saddened.

"Yes, they have. Even though they can't see Stands, it doesn't change the fact that me and Green were both affected by an anomalous item, and the staff know that very well. Otherwise they just don't really care."

"You're still a human in my eyes rather than an SCP. It's just that people who work here in this awful place know very well how the supernatural work, some of those supernatural creatures can be quite dangerous and destructive, and some have witnessed them first hand and fear them as well. Hence why they are giving you weird looks."

"I agree. Fear is a bad thing to have. It slowly eats you away until you're hollow and broken."

"That's quite a way to see fear from your perspective."

"Believe me, Molly. It's a really bad thing to have, but so long as you believe in your friends and the ones you love that they will stay by your side and have hope, that fear will go away. Just like you and Lawrence. You've been here for so long that you two have nothing to fear since you have each other."

"Yeah. Lawrence and I have been through a lot of things in the foundation, and yet we still haven't let go of each other."

"And you two shouldn't as well. Being alone while the rest of the world just ignores you is hurtful."

"But someone will always be there for you." Molly smiled at their conversation. But then, she went to another topic and asked, "Speaking of someone, where's Agent Green?"

"Training with his Stand as usual."

"...How close are you to Green?" She asked with her expression lighten.

"And why are you asking?"

"Since back in the old days you weren't the type to hang out with certain people due to being stone cold Buck, sure you talk to me on most occasions and yet I see you talking to him. Are you two...?"

"We are not in a relationship, Molly." Amelia said deadpanly, "He's just an agent and I'm a scientist. Our relation is just that of acquaintances. Nothing more or nothing less."

"Are you suuure?" She asked smugly. Definitely smelling a lie coming from Amelia, which is kinda new.

"...Don't push it."

"Ok." Molly nodded, smiling sweetly.

"...You know what, I'm done with my work. I'm heading for the training chamber."

"Alrighty then."

Standing in the lab, Molly watches as Amelia, with her Stand Locked Away, exits the lab. Once she lost her sight, Molly began to mentally speak.

'Well as long as we two have someone in our lives at least we can be happy. I still wonder what the forces of the hell dimension might be doing out there. Since most of them were able to get out of the city before they could get pulled into the portal. Let's hope they're not planning something.'

[Meet the Revenant]

.

A bunch of Immoran troopers were standing in attention. In front of them was Revenant, the one who Green fought in the Vegas incident two weeks back and is an idiot as he walks back and forth, with his hands behind his back until he starts to speak out to the Immoran troopers.

"Gentlemen, if fighting is to result in victory, then you must fight!" He raised his skeletal fist before stating, "Sun Tzu said that, and the great Soldier of TF2 understood that as well, and he knows a little more about fighting then you Immoran fools do. Why you may ask?" Revenant questions to one of the Immoran Troopers, pointing his bony fingers at his head.

"..." The Immporan Trooper could only stand there in silence.

"Because he invented it! And then perfected it to a point so that no living man could best him in the ring of honor!"

~~~~~
In a flashback, Revenant lets out a battle cry as he and his team charge towards an army of Atlesian bots, Soldiers, Huntsmen, Huntresses, Grimm and Paladins.
Spotting an highly armored huntsman who seemed to be experienced in dangerous battles, with powerful strength and abilities that might rival an entire military, the Huntsman was about to do his special power and skills, however...
BOOM! BOOM!
Blasting him to oblivion by his shoulder canons, Revenant effortlessly killed the huntsmen and kept running and roar like a maniac, however, he then spotted an Atlesian Soldier appearing on top of a roof with a sniper rifle in his hand, aiming right at Revenant's head.
"PATHETIC HUMAN!"
Before the Soldier could pull the trigger, Revenant blasts him to obliteration with his cannons and keeps running along with his team to the city square.
"Keep moving!" Marauder shouted, dashing at a group of five Huntsmen and Huntresses and two Paladins at astonishing speed that not even a group of superhumans like them couldn't react. In mere seconds, Marauder sliced all of them in half with his Axe with ease, completely ignoring their aura. Raising his Super Shotgun, he shot one Huntsmen in the head, blowing it into bits.
"Finally I can smell victory! Hoorah!" Revenant jumped into the air, raising his fist and letting out a war cry, followed by multiple hell forces as they did the same.
"""HOORAH!"""
As Revenant's team reached the city square, the entire square was now filled with gunfire, explosions and collapsing buildings. They have now entered a true battlefield.
~~~~~

As the flashback ends, Revenant was now holding two argent grenades on his hands and continued to explain to the troopers.

"Then he used his fighting money to buy two of every animal on earth and then herded them onto a boat and beat the ever living crap out of every single one!" He explained as he smashed the two grenades together between the palm of his hands in front of the group of Immoran troopers.

'What the hell is this idiot talking about?' They all thought. Feeling very uncomfortable in this strange scene they were witnessing.

~~~~~
As the flashback continues, Revenant charges into the frontlines while his team follows close behind him. Spotting a Paladin in the distance, he effortlessly blows it up by firing multiple rockets with his cannons. Flying in the air with his jetpack, he fired a barrage of rockets on... pretty much everyone who was stupid enough to get caught in the crossfire, bombarding them to oblivion except for his team.
Landing safely back on the ground, Revenant saw a shovel lying on the ground and picked it up.
"This might do."
But then, a Beowolf Grimm tries to attack him from behind but Revenant instantly whacks it in the head with the shovel. The scene freezes with the Beowolf making a funny face when it gets whacked.
~~~~~

"Hehehehe~ And from that day forward anytime a bunch of animals are together in one place... IT'S CALLED A ZOO!"

"...Uhhh."

[UNLESS IT'S A FARM!] Revenant yells at their faces through a red megaphone

The troopers had enough and decided to head back to their posts. Although Revenant was feeling proud that he thought he had them something and motivated them.

"What a great day to motivate the troops."

"Hey, great leader!"

Looking up, Revenant saw Imp on top of a fighter class Immoran hell ship, the same one that Green fought and is an idiot as well... in most cases.

"Archvile and Marauder want to talk to you regarding those three humans in robes and our next plan on how to get back the argent crystal and unsealed the Scarlet King."

"Roger that."

Flying around the massive cavern with his jetpack, Revenant spots Archvile, Marauder and the three robed figures in the distance.

Landing in front of them, he asked, "So what sort of diabolical plan have you created that will ensure our great hell dimension's victory?"

"Well most of our army who didn't join the backup plan and reserve army just straight up ran away from the city to do their own stuff and didn't get pulled into the portal are still out there, and..." Archvile points to the three robed figures, "These humans have an idea where they might have ended up."

"You better start talking, humans! The only reason I haven't killed you three is because you know the Scarlet king and that you were only the ones to activate the portal after eons. So start talking!" Revenant shouted at the three robed figures harshly.

Frightened, one of the robe figures stuttered and began to explain, "Ok! Ok! Look there is a chance that they might have been captured by the SCP Foundation and the Chaos Insurgency, might be receiving friendly treatment from the Serpent's Hand or being hunted down and killed by the Global Occult Coalition."

"Well ain't that great. I also want to ask you three something. How did you get your hands on a raw argent crystal in the first place? The only Argent supply is in the hell dimension." Marauder asked them.

The second robed figure answers, "Look our faction, "The Children of the Scarlet King" has existed from the time when swords and magic up until the modern era. Our faction leader's family line kept the crystal that they received from the Scarlet king and were told to guard it for his ally, Davoth, and use it when the time is right to open the portal. Our leader's family line kept it safe for centuries."

"Until the modern era started and our faction members were being picked off one by one by the SCP Foundation. The seven spears were taken and our faction leader was killed." The third one added.

"And you're all that's left of the faction?" Archvile asked, but he already knew the obvious.

The robed figure in the middle nodded, "Unfortunately yes, but we went through our leader's stuff that the foundation overlooked and found the crystal with a note written by him that specifically stated we should use it at the right time and the note also showed the coordinates of the doors and the portal. We later found out that the Scarlet King was once freed by Cory and we decided to keep the crystal hidden until the Scarlet king would demand us to use it, but then he was again sealed away by his two children, Cory and SCP-999."

He sighed and continued, "Ever since that happened we kept a very low profile and waited for the right moment, until years later we pulled the first move for the king, which happened two weeks ago."

"But to think our plans would be thwarted by the foundation again was not expected." The second one said with a scowl, "Especially given that they had new allies on their side."

"Yes. After the Immoran's hacked into the city's cameras and gained the footage, these so-called bizzare individuals were more formidable that even most of our own forces couldn't handle them, to think that one human with the three headed wolf was also part of their group. We must not underestimate them." Marauder confirmed his words.

"We could just charge in with our ships and blow them to kingdom come!" Revenant shouted proudly.

"And make our presence known and expose our location? No Revenant. Your idiotic tactics aren't gonna work like last time they did on Remnant. This time we take a more smart approach." Marauder declared.

At that moment, they saw an Immoran trooper approaching them, knowing what it is, Marauder asks him, "What do you wish to report, trooper?"

"We were able to hack into the servers of this world and find out the argent crystal's location. It's in Site-19. A facility belonging to the SCP Foundation, and..."

"And?"

"We also picked up some argent energy readings... on Mars."

"Is that so?"

"Yes."

"Hmm..." As Marauder went in deep thought, he looked at the Trooper and ordered him, "Get a fighter class ship ready and give me four of your best troopers as well. We'll investigate it." Watching the trooper leave with the orders in mind, Marauder looks back at Archvile, "You try to find out where our forces are being kept imprisoned and try to formulate a plan to get the crystal from Site-19."

Archvile nods, turning around, Marauder follows the Immoran trooper. But then the robe figure who first answered their question spoke out to Marauder before he could leave.

"My friend. Just make sure to stealthily approach Mars because SCP-179 might discover your presence and she will definitely report to the satellite that the foundation keeps close to her."

"Thanks for the warning, mortal." With a nod in appreciation, Marauder and the trooper left their sights.

As they had left their sight, Revenant slowly turned to Archvile's direction and requested, "What if we made a-..."

"NO EXPLOSIVES! REMEMBER YOUR LITTLE BOMB INCIDENT?!"

"Oh yeah. I forgot about that." Revenant murmured, thinking that last little incident back on Remnant, "Fine we'll not make anything that might accidentally kill our own forces."

"You better, Revenant."
