Ronnie’s POV
After dropping Nancy off at her campus, I go to my parent’s house. They said they wanted to talk to me about the dinner last night. It’s great timing since I’ve got some future deals to discuss with Father.
I walk in without knocking and make my way to the living room, where I know my parents will be. Father sits in his favorite reclining chair across from the sofa with his reading glasses on, looking at the morning newspaper – most likely the finance section. There’s a cup of chocolate milk and a small plate of cookies on the side table next to him.
Mother watches the Hallmark channel; her favorite channel, especially during the holidays. She’s sitting on the sofa facing the television with the volume too high for anyone with good hearing.
