3 Reasons To Survive In The Apocalypse With A System

Leo, a gamer and streamer, woke up one day to find the world around him had collapsed. And the one to even make him realize this was a six-inch tall girl? "Your first mission is to find three reasons to survive in this apocalypse." This was what he was told once he came to terms with the world coming to an end. Now, in order to survive in this new world, he had to make use of this system and try to complete the missions he was given while also trying to level up by killing zombies. Can a normal guy like Leo live long enough to even complete his first mission? Can Leo fight against the odds and build a safe haven for himself? Cross The Line

They left the street and headed to their first stop. The corner store they first met at. "Let's hope there is something worth eating inside."

"I am surprised the power is still on." It had been over a week not, and the power was still on, which was quite surprising.

"Well, as long as nothing goes wrong at the stations, the power should stay on for a while. And that is only in certain areas. The place we are going to might now have power at all." Leo was glad power was still on, but it won't last for long. Once something happens, it will be the end of it.

"My bat!" Rebecca was a little happy as she quickly went over and picked up the bat she had dropped on her first outing.

"Well, that solves one problem." Leo chuckled. Rebecca had taken a pipe she had found and was using that for protection, but she did not like it.

"Yeah, this is longer and feels much better. Although I do wish I had a wooden one. Then I could stick nails in it." Rebecca looked at her bat with a smile. She tucked the pipe she had into a strap on the backpack she was carrying, just in case.

"We are here and…. Power is out here." Leo said as they arrived at the store. "Eat enough to feel full, but do not overdo it."

"I know!" Rebecca replied with a smile. They had decided to make this their first stop to conserve a bit of their supplies.

The interior was dark, with only the light of the day lighting up the front half of the store. Leo poked his head in and looked around. There was only one small door and a small window, which was covered by posters. The door itself had long been broken with blood trailing out of it. It was not like this before, so something had happened here at some point during this past week.

"See anything?" Rebecca asked in a low whisper.

"No. But I will go in for a quick check. Stay inside but at the door. If anyone comes, yell and run to the back of the store. I will come to you." Leo had already come up with a few plans in case of emergency situations. This meant either zombie or living.

"Got it." Rebecca nodded as she stepped inside the store with Leo. She stood off to the side, just out of sight from the outside world, while Leo did a once around the store.

"Someone was definitely here," Leo said as he came back into view. "Coast is clear. Come on."

Rebecca hurried over to Leo, and the two walked over to the fridge that had drinks. "They are warm but still good."

"I wonder when the power went out there." The drinks were so warm that the power must have been out for a few days.

"No idea, but that just means this area is on another power grid. We can only hope the dance studio might still have power. But if not, it's fine. We will make due. I did bring some candles. If we can't get inside, then we will need to figure something else out. Even if it means just going straight to the roof, we can make a shelter with things from the floors below." Leo looked around before picking up a package of twinkies. One of the very few foods that would ever go bad. "I am surprised they still make these."

"They are the go to food for apocalypse situations." Rebecca picked a package up off the shelf and looked at it. She smiled and looked up at Leo only to find his face was very close to hers. Her eyes looked at his face and then at the eyes that were looking back at her. They were so close to each other that if either one of them moved even a fraction of an inch closer, they would be kissing.

Leo looked at the red lips in front of him. He also noticed that she was not pulling back. He steeled his resolve and leaned in. Their lips pressed against each other. Rebecca closed her eyes. It was their first kiss, so she wanted to enjoy the moment. She stood there holding the twinkies in her hands while she kissed Leo. Her lips slightly parted, allowing access to the inner parts of her mouth, which Leo took full advantage of.

Their kiss deepened, and Leo pulled Rebecca close. His arm hugged her slim waist, pressing her against his body. Their tongues seemed to be fighting a battle as they entangled in some sort of duel. After about a minute, their lips parted. They looked into each other's eyes in a slight daze. "Ahem…." Leo finally couldn't take the silence anymore. "I umm… Sorry if I forced that…."

"It's about time…."  Rebecca replied, which startled Leo. She looked at him and smiled as she showed him the twinkies. "I guess I Should eat this since it allowed you to make a move finally."

"Well, it's not like you were giving me too many signs besides using me as a body pillow," Leo complained.

"Well… I am not too good at this sort of thing either, you know. I mean, I had a bad experience when I was younger. I have stayed clear of relationships, but you… I have gotten to know for the past week, and we seem to match well…." Rebecca blushed and lowered her head. She really was not good at this!

"Well, we can say that we are both in the same boat then." Leo scratched his head and grabbed a few packages of twinkies.

"We should get that then, for the future that is…." Rebecca pointed to the counter where the condoms were. Her voice went soft at the end when she realized what she was suggesting.

"Okay…" Leo did not realize that a single kiss was enough to allow him to go all the way. Although he had no idea when they would get such a chance, he was not about to let such a situation go by. And he also knew that he couldn't get Rebecca pregnant either, so condoms were the best choice. Of course, this was also why Rebecca suggested this. She was still a virgin and did not plan to do that just yet, but she also knew that, eventually, they would cross the line.
