"Come on she should be asleep now." Anna heard a familiar whisper by the door. It sounded so much like Nari. Was she that drunk that she was hearing things again? She has only had a few bottles of vodka, she didn't even drink as much tonight.

A silent hiccup escaped her mouth as she tried to make sense out of what was happening.

What could Nari be doing in their mansion? Maybe it's because she's been thinking about Nari a lot and now she's hearing things. She blinked multiple times to get back to her senses.

Tonight is her wedding Eve, but she isn't going to celebrate with friends like every other girl. She was different and she knew it.

Two years ago she was the country's most sought-after model. Everyone loved her, she had so many friends and business partners, but everything ended after that day. One little mistake made her lose everything she's worked so hard for.

Anna sniffled as she dropped the last empty glass of vodka on the floor with the rest.

"You're so stubborn Nari. If you want we can go to our usual place." The male voice sounded like Mack. What is Mack doing with Nari? She thought.

Anna shook her head. She's probably imagining things again, maybe it's because she drank a lot. There's no way they could be together, Mack hates Nari. He was her boyfriend, there's no way he would be with the person that destroyed her life.

"You'll be married to her tomorrow, I want you all for myself tonight before you get taken forever." She heard Nari say.

"You're really a troublemaker you know that Nari?" She heard his chuckle.

"Let's check her, she must probably be drunk and wasted like every other night." Anna blinked again to be sure she was still in reality.

Her door handle twisted and she quickly fell on the bed pretending to be asleep. Though she thought she was imagining things again, her imagination was becoming too real this time.

"I told you she is asleep. Oh, this place reeks." Nari covered her nose with her palm staring at her ex-friend on the bed with pure hate.

Mack tucked Anna into the bed covering her with the sheets, "That's enough Mack she's asleep. You don't have to pretend like you care when she's asleep. I don't know why you're still with her." Nari puffed her lips.

"I don't care about her Nari, I care about you alone. You know why I can't leave her. She's the only heir of the Sui family, you know we need their asset more than anything."

Unlike Anna, Nari was from a poor family, she could offer only little to nothing to the Yong family, and that's why she has always been jealous of her friend. She couldn't take it anymore when Anna's life became so perfect.

Anna became a known beauty queen and a top model after college, she was loved by everyone and admired by so many men including the infamous Mack Yong.

A multi-millionaire and the only heir of the Yong empire. While Nari was just a side piece. The invisible sidekick who does all the work while her friend gets praised for it. She couldn't sit and watch her friend be who she's always dreamt of being so she started a hate campaign for her.

She started spreading lies on the internet. Even if people didn't believe it at the time, it was enough to put doubt in their minds against Anna Sui. When the lies didn't work the way she wanted, she started spreading private information and hacked into Anna's account to make that post.

The post that ended everything.

She had been the one to end the reign of Anna Sui but she didn't do it alone. Mack had helped her.

Anna couldn't believe her ears. Mack is only with her cause of her inheritance? They've been dating for seven years, so does that mean for all of these years Mack never once loved her and just wanted to be with her for her inheritance?

"What crazy man wants to be married to a public nuisance?"

"Then prove it to me." Nari cried.

"What do you want me to do?"

"Let's do it before her. Prove to me that she means nothing to you." Nari tiptoed to the man as she held his collar to pull him down to herself and kissed him passionately.

Anna clutched the sheets tight struggling to stay sane but she couldn't. She couldn't accept the fact that Mack was cheating on her with her best friend. The same person who just confessed to destroying her.

A man she has loved for years. A man she gave her all to. She had dropped her career even when she knew she could still revive it, all because Mack said he wanted her out of the internet.

Anna opened her eyes to the scene before her, and it was nothing short of disgusting. The betrayal cut deep, like a knife twisting in her heart. She fought to push back the tears threatening to spill from her eyes, unwilling to let them see her weakness.

First, it was her career, now it is her boyfriend.

Anna got up from the bed quietly and stepped out of the room. Her heart couldn't bear to watch the scene before her.

"I'll never let Anna take you away from me Mack I... I'm pregnant." Anna closed the door at Nari's confession blinking the heavy tears back in but it wanted to all fall out.

Nari is pregnant for Mack? Anna couldn't believe what she had just heard.

Now she knew about Mack's plans, she would call off their marriage. But that would mean her family scolding her again.
