Chapter 19: Dungeon Exploration Begins

[Miko's POV]

Me and my familia are currently walking towards the guild. While we were walking, I am pondering on my thoughts.

So far, the presence concealment seal is working fine and the people are not paying attention at me on the road. However, there is one person that is constantly on the watch even with the seal I have.

Crap, whoever is this person that is watching me is definitely powerful and will not take their eyes of me, even if I run or hide. I could only hope that this person will not take me if I do anything stupid. I should be careful of my actions for now to avoid any attention.

While I am contemplating of my inner troubles, we arrived at the guild.

We entered inside and walk towards the reception counter. We faced towards Eina, the elf that me and Takemikazuchi-sama talked to yesterday.

"Good morning, Eina-san" I greeted her while she is busy on doecuments.

"Ah, good morning, Miko-san. What can I do for you?"

"Me and my familia want to register as adventurers so we can enter the dungeon"

" I understood, just wait here" Eina then walks away to pick something. She came back with a bunch of registration papers'

"Her Miko-san, please fill out this paper with your name, age, and background information"

"I understand" I took the paper and fill out the information needed in the blanks.

"Here you go, Eina-san" I gave the paper back to Eina-san

"Yae Miko, age 14, born in the Far East, daughter of Yae Sakura and Yae Hakuro. Did I say everything right?" Eina-san confirming the information I wrote.

"Correct"

"I see, now please step aside for the next person to register"

I stepped aside and walk away from the line. I waited for my companions to finish registering.

While I was waiting for my familia, I saw some familiar faces entering the guild. It is Rivera-san and Ais.

"Ara, why is it Rivera-san and Ais-san, how are you been?"

"Oh? Ah, Miko-san. Hello, nice to see you today"

*nod*

Rivera-san greeted me and Ais just nod at me when I called them.

"Umu, it's good to see you here today. What are you two doing here?"

"Ah, me and Ais are going to see our advisors today. How about you?"

"Me and my Familia are currently registering as adventurers so that we could start exploring the dungeon"

"I see. Well, see you later then. Come now, Ais" Rivera-san says as she walks away while Ais folnd lows behind. Ais waves her hand at me to say good bye and I wave back.

After my interaction with Rivera and Ais, my Familia walks toward me after they registered.

"Miko-san, who are those people you just talked to?" Yamato-san inquires

"Ah, they are some people I met yesterday, they are Rivera-san and Ais-san'

"I understand"

"Okay, now that we are all registered in the guild, we are now all set to venture at the dungeon. That being said, let's head out"

""Yes""

We all exit the guild and head towards the Tower of Babel.

The Tower of Babel

A huge tower that serves as the lid that covers a huge hole that appeared long time ago. The gods, goddesses and the people of the ancient times come together to seal off the hole in order to stop the monsters from leaving and destroying the surface. They build a huge tower to close off the hole and ordered the humans to venture the dungeon to learn its true nature and secrets. Until to this day, more people came to join the dungeon exploration for entertainment and thrills.

We currently are walking towards the tower to enter the dungeon. Looking at the tower, I felt that the gaze that was staring at me for quite some time is located at the very top of the tower. I wondered how the heck does this person saw from up there, perhaps this person has a pair of special eyes that can see people from a distance or something.

I'll dismiss that for now but I will keep on guard in case someone will ambush and kidnap me. I really hate being taken away by powerful people. The pallum that took me long ago was bad enough, I can't imagine someone else out here is more perverse than him. I hope I can avoid those perverse people as long as I live.

Reaching the Tower of Babel, we all stand in front of the entrance. I looked at them and they are all ready and prepared to go down the dungeon.

I inspect their weapons and I assess their preferred role in the team.

[Familia Members]

[Kashima Ouka]

- Weapon: Spear and Shield

- Role: Main Vanguard/ Spearman

[Yamato Mikoto]

- Weapon: Katana

- Role: Sub Vanguard/ swordswoman

[Hitachi Chigusa]

- Weapon: Bow

- Role: Archer

<A/N: As for the other three members, there are little to no information about them. However, the female one is named Asuka but she doesn't have any other info except for her name. As for the two males, will take the liberty in naming them. I also gave Asuka a first name.>

[Asuka Sachiko]

- Weapon: Knife

-Role: Supporter Assassin

[Shima Hiroshi]

- Weapon: Bow

- Role: Archer

[Nishioka Takeo]

- Weapon: Katana

Role: Supporter Swordsman

After assessing their roles according to their chosen weapon, I decided to give them advices just in case.

*clap* *clap*

"Okay guys, listen up. As we enter the dungeon, we must take caution on the monsters we are about to face. We don't know what monsters we are going to face down and I am not certain if they are the same from what we fought in our journey to Orario. We need to stick together and do not wonder off on their own. we first need to evaluate each other's strength and weaknesses to create a formation in order to optimize our dungeon exploration progress. Is that clear?"

""Yes""

"Good, let's move out""

We entered the entrance of the tower and climb down a flight of spiral stairs. Reaching the bottom of the stairs, we stand in front a huge gate that leads to the first floor of the dungeon.

"Everyone, are you ready?"

""Yes""

"I can't hear you, I said are you ready"

""YES""

"Good, let's go"

We entered the gate and we are now inside a dim tunnel with glowing stones on the wall as light source.

After walking for a while, my ear twitched upon hearing something on the distance.

"Monsters ahead. There's three of them" I reported as I heard three creatures grumbling.

When we carefully sneak onwards, we saw three

"Kashima-san, Yamato-san, you're up"

""Yes""

The two of them rush onwards to the goblins. As they approached the monsters, I snapped my fingers and took out my Kagura Suzu.

*Clang*

"Gwoooh"

"Argggh"

"Awwoggh"

The three goblins were stunned and electrocuted when I clang the bell. Kashima-san stabbed the first goblin with his spear and Yamato-san sliced the second one with her katana.

The third goblin recovered and back stepped from the battlefield. It planned to run away but before it can do that...

*clang*

"Arggh"

The goblin tripped to the ground due the electrocution and Yamato-san finished it off. After dealing with the goblins, we press onwards to the tunnel.

Few minutes of waking later, my ear twitched again. I look at the wall of the dungeon and saw it split open, giving birth for more goblins.

The goblins spawned at both side of the tunnel, surrounding us. There are ten goblins on the front and another ten on the rear.

I assessed the situation and made my decision.

"Kishama, Nishioka, Hitachi take the goblins on the front, Yamato, Asuka, Nishioka take the ones on the back" I ordered the instruction to the team.

"What about you about you, Miko-san" Yamato-san asked

"I will assist on both sides, now go!"

""Yes""

The whole Familia split on both side and attacked the goblins in front of them. I snapped my other hand's finger and took out the Gohei.

*Clang*

*Whoosh*

I clang the Kagura Suzu to stun the goblins on the front side and swing my Gohei to launch multiple small fireballs at the rear side.

The goblins on the front were electrocuted and the ones on the back were scorched. The Familia then do their job to take out the goblins. With a couple of slashes, stabbing, and arrows fired, the goblins were taken out one by one. When a goblin recovered from the stun on the front side, I clang the bell to stun it again and when a goblin quenched the fire on the rear side, I swing Gohei to scorch it again.

When all of the goblins were taken care off, we sighed in relief and slump on the floor to rest.

"Okay guys, good work. I guess we need to stop it here for now and retreat"

"Eh? But Miko-san, we can still fight. Should we continue onwards?" Kashima-san said as he tried to stand up. However, looking at him, he is clearly looking fatigued and worn out.

"Ara? With that condition, you are not. You are clearly tired from slaying those goblins. Those goblins, may I remind you, are quite strong in our current status. So, the option of retreating and recuperating is a must. That being said, Asuka, Nishioka pick the magic stones for us please." I reasoned at Kashima-san and ordered the two to collect the magic stones that the goblin dropped

After they collecting the magic stone, we retreated from the dungeon and went back to the surface. We walked out of the Tower and went to the guild in order to exchange the magic stones with money.

[Third POV]

As Miko and her companions walked away from the tower, the feeling of gaze was felt by Miko and she stop walking to look at the tower. Yamato-san noticed her stop walking from them.

"What's wrong, Miko-san?"

"No, it's nothing. I just felt something"

She continued walking towards the group and head towards the guild.

Meanwhile at the top of the Tower of Babel, Freya is still watching from above

"Ah, she noticed me again, fufufufu"
