Eating Out

An Lin was so close to roll his eyes, but he held back. He could see that Long Ying was genuinely happy when he praised his wife.

Suddenly, a thought crossed his mind. Could he possibly become the most important person in the clan after their Boss if he got close to Yu Yan and hugged her thighs?

(A/N: not literally hugging someone's thigh, but it meant that you're trying to get on someone powerful's good side to get benefit)

That didn't sound so bad!

As An Lin was thinking of how he should get on Yu Yan's good side, Yu Yan nudged Long Ying. "Come on, there are others who are better than me. Besides, I don't really know much about this world, yet."

Long Ying's eyes narrowed. "If you don't know yet, you can learn when you want."

"Sure."

"Are you hungry?" Long Ying asked. He had already finished looking at the papers and there was nothing really important that he needed to take care. His men were good enough to deal with the trivial things.

As for their enemies.

Hehe, if they didn't want to have their head flung away, they wouldn't dare to cross Dragon Clan as long as Long Ying was still standing firmly at the very top.

"A little bit." Yu Yan blushed a bit.

"Let's go eat out, then. Where do you want to eat?"

"Hmm, how about hot pot?" Yu Yan's eyes sparkled when she thought about it. It has been some time since she last eating hot pot because she didn't have much time due to her work.

"Sure."

And that was the cue for An Lin to prepare a car. However, Long Ying raised his hand as he took dark glassed and wore it. "You don't have to come. We'll walk."

Walk?

An Lin was utterly speechless. He looked at Long Ying and hoped that his Boss would change his decision because it was going to be dark soon and walking around in the darkness was not exactly save.

But as he watched the two of them walked outside hand in hand… he could only ask for some of the hidden guards to follow them in secret.

Being the right hand sure was not easy.

Yu Yan didn't know why Long Ying wanted them to walk but she was happy to comply. It was only five minutes later did she realize that they had arrived at a small hot pot restaurant.

"There's a restaurant near the office?" Yu Yan was surprised.

Long Ying nodded. He had ordered a takeout from here once, so he remembered his subordinate mentioned about it once. "It's not that bad. Let's get in."

"Alright."

The two of them entered the restaurant. It was a small restaurant and looked quite comfy with homey feeling. There were not many people inside but Yu Yan liked the atmosphere here.

"Welcome, please take a seat here. what would you like to order?" the employee there was surprised when she saw Long Ying and Yu Yan. It was rare to see people with long hair in this day and age. Not to mention, he was wearing dark glasses that made him suspicious.

But as someone who had been ordered by her boss to be professional, she would never mention it out.

"A big bowl of meat hot pot! I would like to add…" Yu Yan began to order with her eyes glistened in happiness.

The employee smiled and noted down everything Yu Yan mentioned. She then looked at Long Ying as if asking what he wanted to order.

"Just give her order the biggest size."

"Right away, sir."

As the employee walked away, Yu Yan sat down on the chair and looked at Long Ying curiously. "I thought you're going to add more vegetables like what you usually do."

Long Ying's eyes flashed as he smiled. His woman still remembered that he prioritized eating healthy more than eating deliciously. "I'll do it next time. This time, you can eat as much meat as you want."

"Alright." Yu Yan licked her lips in glee.

At this time, two girls and two men passed by their direction. They passed a look at Long Ying and there was a hint of disdain in their eyes.

"Who in the world still keep long hair these days?"

"He must not be a good man."

"Pfft, and he's even wearing such dark glasses, his fashion taste is so poor! Is he blind?"

Long Ying arched his eyebrows but he ignored them. The only reason he wore this dark glasses was because he had to hide his silver pupil, so he had long gotten used to the mockery he received from time to time.
