62. Training and Coding

The next few days passed by quietly but then when it was still two weeks to the party, one day there was a huge commotion in the cafeteria during lunchtime.

RuQian had been quite happy this past week. She had started her sessions with hacker X, he always called her through encrypted calls and had used an advanced voice masking application which helped change his voice.

So she hadn't even heard his actual voice but she was fine, either way she was in advantage being able to learn from someone as good as him. She had offered to pay him money but he had denied her. He had said that she would have to help him if he ever wanted her to do any work for him. That would be her fee for him. She guessed he did this with any student he took over. It was a very good tactic. Your student would feel they are in your debt and if you ever require any hacker you'll have many of them at your disposal.

She had also started her training with Master Liu and the first thing he taught her was to be aware of her surroundings. She had been training all this past week with a blindfold on.

She had to use her other senses apart from her eyesight. At first, it was her just trying to figure out her surroundings, where the flower garden was, where the house was located, basing on sounds and smells.

Later she was asked to gauge Master Liu's movements as he moved around. He just moved around quietly and she had to turn in the direction where he stood. At first it all felt difficult for RuQian but she had gotten better as the day progressed.

Master Liu was quite impressed with her, though he never verbally praised her, she could see the appraisal in his eyes.

She was a quick learner, she had easily been able to find him even though he was quiet like a Cheshire cat, on the third day of her training itself.

Thereafter, he started teaching her how to avoid objects being thrown at her while she was blindfolded. The objects weren't fatal in any manner, sometimes it was tennis balls, sometimes basketballs.

Master Liu told her she had to be able to gauge the size and speed of the objects being thrown towards her. She learnt this quickly, in just two days. It always depended on the sound of the wind. Each object would make a different sound based on it's size. Even she had been impressed with herself.

But the recent lessons which she was learning were difficult for her. This time Master Liu had started using fruits or vegetables and she did not have to avoid them but catch them.

This task was proving to be difficult to her. She had been hit with so many fruits and veggies that even taking a shower twice didn't help with the smell.

She had been frustrated with herself but Master Liu cheered her up saying that this was difficult for everyone. She understood well that Master Liu was going easy on her. Normally this exercise would have been done with knives but she wasn't ready for it yet.

She vowed to learn that one day. Even her diet had been changed due to Master Liu's instructions. She was to take high protein and nutritious food as she had to strengthen her body.

In the morning she not only jogged but also had to practice a few dance techniques. She had learnt dance in her past lifetime for Chang Min but not yet in this lifetime, so she couldn't say she knew a few dance moves.

Master Liu told her that dancing would help increase her agility, she could also learn how to be light on her feet. These all could help her be fast, silent and quick when fighting someone.

She understood his meaning and started touching up on her dancing skills. She thought about which form she would like to learn and felt it best to go for contemporary. She had learnt ballet in her previous lifetime, so she wanted to learn something new.

On her coding front, her progress was way better than with her physical training. This was easier as she could study and learn.

She had been given many book details from teacher X, which she had procured from the city library, different book shops, some even from the internet and had to buy a few in the dark web.

The first thing teacher X taught her was hacking, which involved her seeing where a code was lacking, she had to check where the weakness in the code was.

She had taken to calling him teacher X because calling him by his whole title was difficult when they spoke and it helped that he didn't mind.

RuQian had to hack into a few codes teacher X had sent her. They started on the easy level and leveled up as she progressed. If she failed a particular level, she would have to start hacking from the first level again.

At first it was difficult for her but she was able to catch up rather quickly. She had started studying even in her school time. It wasn't like she didn't know those subjects, so she just hid her computer related notes well and studied in class.

After a week, she had already been able to reach the 53rd level but she had been stuck there for a day. She had spent the whole Saturday trying to clear that level but to vain. Teacher X had suggested her to take the Sunday off and try again on Monday.

Even she felt she needed a little break from all the studies. On Sunday she spent her day leisurely then went out in the evening with her friends, when she felt something.

She didn't react then and had a good time with her friends. After returning home she hacked in to different store cameras and was shocked with what she saw.

She continued her research only to be dumbfounded. She wanted to search for more information but it was blocked, she could try hacking but she felt she wouldn't be able to do it with her current skills.

She could only build up her skills and make a counter strike later on.

"Just you wait, I will definitely find you and teach you a lesson you'll never forget!" RuQian vowed with fire burning in her eyes.

Come Monday, RuQian and her friends sat in the cafeteria for their lunch.

"Oh right, Qian Qian I received your dress from the store yesterday. I wanted to bring it with me but then I thought I can bring it to your house this weekend. I don't want it to get crumpled in the car." Lan Xie explained.

"Qiao Xie, you could've given her the dress when we met her yesterday, you know?" Amy said.

"Wow, clap for the smartest fool I've ever seen. I didn't know you had a hole in your mushy brain, Amy. Were you born this way? Or did you hit your head when you were young?"

"Ugh... I am definitely smarter than you Qiao Xie, you probably don't know that having a whole in the mushy brain isn't possible. Humph.." Amy cutely puffed up her cheeks and continued, "And what's so wrong with what I said? It was pretty logical in my opinion."

"Logic? Hah. You and being logical? That can't even happen in your dreams. Even the dream me would laugh if you said you were logical." Lan Xie burst into a fit of laughter with that.

"Yes, because even the dream you is just a bitch like you." Amy turned her head away in indignation.

Just as Lan Xie was about to retort, RuQian broke the two of them up with a soft smile, "Okay, that's enough. Lan Xie, it's true there are no holes in the brain. A tumor is possible but not a hole. Holes in the skull or even the brain tissue are possible if one is having a surgery but nothing serious.

And Amy, Lan Xie received the dress after she went home in the evening, so she didn't bring the dress yesterday itself. Now will you both stop bickering like small children?" RuQian said with a hint of a smile. Though she told them to stop, it was clear she enjoyed this cute banter between her friends.

Lan Xie and Amy stared at their friend with wide opened eyes and mouths, looking like dumb and dumber. Lan Xie was the first to snap out.

"Qian Qian, I don't even want to know how you know about that brain stuff but how did you know when I received your dress?"

Amy also nodded her head with similar curiosity.

"You can't keep secrets." RuQian smiled.

Lan Xie scrathed her head. She didn't understand what her friend meant. Amy also tried to understand what she meant but couldn't. RuQian didn't explain further.

With Lan Xie's nature, she would've told RuQian when they met the day before that she had gotten the dress. If she didn't mention it, it only meant she hadn't received the dress by then.

It wasn't very difficult to analyze her thought process, so she didn't understand why her friends were having a hard time realizing her line of thought.

Before Lan Xie and Amy could ask RuQian to clarify what she meant, a huge commotion broke out in the center of the cafeteria hall.
